A Plea
What else is great to say about a fragrance that has been around for what feels like forever. I was very surprised to see that the first release in 2013 was already. Since then, just in the Dior Homme series has changed a lot. Many say that it has changed for the worse, I am of the opinion, the series goes with the times.

Analogously, it is also with some Chanel fragrances, which do not get so much headwind for this situation.

Dior Homme Cologne is for me one of the candidates that shine with naturalness. This fragrance thrives on natural lemon, rather lemon zest, and doesn't try to be like a cleanser, exuding an artificial lemon scent.
The whole thing is then complemented by a somewhat hard to describe feeling, you could say "fizzy". This can be thought of as like drinking a freshly squeezed lemonade. You notice the carbonic acid bubbles (-> fizzig) and the sweet-tart of the lemon.

As that is now times with lemon-based fresh fragrances so, have such summer fragrances of course not the endurance of an autumn / winter fragrance. Nevertheless, I come with the fragrance on a good 6 hours.

Who now throws Mercedes Benz Cologne in the race as clones, I must say: Yes, it behaves as with copied leaves. They look like the original, but the quality gets worse from time to time. This is also the case for me. I have both fragrances in my collection and can accordingly test both in parallel. The Mercedes Benz lacks the fizziness that makes the Dior Homme Cologne special for me. Also, at least with my Mercedes Benz batch, the durability is also not much better, if not slightly worse.

With me, the Dior Homme Cologne always gets the preference. I like him, especially in the summer he is a faithful companion.

Artisan Pure or Dior Homme Cologne after all
This fragrance seems to be very well respected in the community. The more difficult it is for me to understand the negative reviews of Dior Homme Cologne. But more about this in the following:

The Artisan Pure comes in a fantastic bottle. Already when unpacking the mood sets that we should be immediately reminded of summer, sun, beach and sea. So cap off and sprayed on! And indeed, there is the good mood summer feeling.

We already here also recognizable in fragrance notes, the citrus notes are those that set the tone. They are extremely strong in the foreground and push the other facets into the background. Iris is only faintly perceptible, if at all. - This is where DHC is actually a touch better created. - The longevity compared to its, for me, fragrance twin is better. The Artisan holds good 5-6Std., as DHC stops already after 4-5Std.

So who is looking for a great summer fragrance, can confidently access here. Who is looking for a very similar fragrance in a rectangular bottle, reaches for DHC.

In the end, in my opinion, for the bystanders who perceive the fragrances, no difference can be discerned

Let's strike a blow
You can write a lot about the Bottled fragrances. There was and is a lot of criticism of them. Be it they are no longer modern, they do not last long, the variations are all more or less the same.....kurz um: To me, this series seems to have no good reputation, yet they are rock solid.

I find the Bottled Infinite has apart from the flacon design nothing more to do with the Botteld original. Had this fragrance been released under a different name, he would certainly have gotten a little better feedback.

For the current price in the various online perfumeries, you get a 5 hour office freshness, which rather goes its way in the direction of lemon. If one wanted to draw a comparison, he would probably be kindred with Sedley of PdM. - The similarities are clearly perceptible. However, just in the later DryDown the differences are clearly recognizable. - The Infinite comes rather a little synthetic therefore, where Sedley remains but rather more natural. Infinite therefore seems a little darker, a little heavier, but this does not make it a winter Thirst. He can be worn very well on warm days (perhaps even just now on the first warmer spring days).

All around a good fragrance, which of course should not be compared with niche. Who is looking for a good price-performance ratio and still wants to smell fresh citrus, please like to access here!

Thank you!

The No Scent Twin
This fragrance is often called a fragrance twin to Bois D'Argent. But is this justified?

The fragrance starts with a similar floral with a very present iris note. This can not be denied and lets just exactly this character of a fragrance twin awaken. What is immediately noticeable, however, is that Bois D'Iris remains rather bright and light. Where Bois D'Argent very quickly drifts the fragrance color in the direction of honey brown, this remains here according to its name silvery and bright.

What you smell in the top note is also what you perceive over the entire course of the fragrance. It does not change greatly and acts accordingly linear. This could be the one or the other something too monotonous, but I like it well. Due to its lightness, it could seem rather too feminine in some noses. For me, it moves very much on the border. It is just so wearable as a man. - There are also reasons why this fragrance is led on some pages by out as a women's fragrance and not unisex. -

The durability is not outstanding in my eyes. After 5 hours at the latest, it is no longer perceptible for me even close to the skin. Since the Bois D'Argent offers more power.

The flacon is kept simple and straightforward. The trailer is nice accessory and lets the simple bottle a little bit nobler act.

Measured by its price (between 70 and 100 €), it is a fragrance that is ideal to get a small idea of the Bois D'Argents. However, for a comparable opinion, I think both should be tested. They are too different for that.

Therefore, I come to the conclusion that it is not a fragrance twin. The fragrance is oriented to the Bois D'Argent, but nothing more. Bois D'Iris could be rather the little brother

More of the same - Just not as persistent
This fragrance is what you would expect. It is very similar to its brother, the EdT, and the family is clearly recognizable. But where is the difference!

With the flacon is immediately noticeable that this has a pattern. Probably this is to be a reference to the pique fabric of the famous Polo Shrits. Furthermore, the crocodile is held here in silver (the EdT has a green crocodile). Otherwise, it is the same presentation, without magnetic cap.

The fragrance itself runs pretty linear and has hardly any transformation, which in my eyes actually doesn't have to be. Not every fragrance has to be an armoareise, there are others for that. It seems just as fresh and citrusy as the EdT, but also a little darker. - The white of the Falkon should rather have a light grey shimmer. Comes therefore probably the silver corocodile ? -
It is a citrusy freshness, which actually drifts towards lime in the heart note. Eucalyptus is if at all only very shallowly perceptible. The pine remains completely away from me.

The shelf life is clearly limited with 4 hours for EdP. My recommendation would therefore rather reach for the EdT. The surcharge is not justified in my opinion at this point.
