I totally agree with the reviewer before; maybe the best sent of the year, if you like a successful bonding between barbershop meets middle eastern fragrance. Why barbershop? It s got the freshness from citrus, ginger, musc and pepper but also this amazing smoke, oud and leather combo, very masculin...the notes, which hold for me everything together and smooths the differences out are the tobacco, violet leafs and the iris, which round all up and give this gentleman feel... The hidden star is the mastic, which I can detect as spending the summers in my childhood in greece. If you want to know what fragragrances it reminds me of it s got definitively vibes from gucci guilty absolute in terms of leather & bentley for men absolute in terms of woodiness and cartiers l enviol (only on the agar wood part) but does totally his own thing, and is stronger, more unique and hasn't any booziness, which i admire in this case. This gives it a lot of elegance. Longevity is excellent and for the price you can get it online it s a must have. Intrigued to test the whole line, definitely high quality and sofisticated
for men above 30 (grab whatever you are comfortable with, but i think this is made for the gusto of older men) Also nice: You don t have a supersweet fragrance but you can pick up a sence of powderyness. Best time to wear: Fall and winter and maybe a little dressed up :-) 9/10

...but only if you dare! A lot of people recieve the Apple Note as Dominant but in my opinion it s the best rose oud combo if ve smelled. It s sweet and spicy, sometimes even smocky with leathery nuances. But also is very well blended. The saffron is decent and gives a hint of luxury. The Opening is sweet and get s more ambery as time passes by... Another artistic crowd pleaser:-) sillage and longevity are good, for mature guys, definitely worth the money

Let s keep it short & sweet as always: Nice scent, with the rose & ambergris but for greatness something is missing. By the way it reminds me of guerlains encense mystique, but back to what is missing: an almond note not sweet maybe slightly bitter. That would make it more distinct and not so predictable;-)

Let s keep it short and sweet as always: I agree that it is not helpful to use encense in the name if you Don t use it. I get a beautiful rose, good balanced adelhydes and for me a unisex fragrance neither leaning to male or female... the young woods are pleasant but I would prefere a more mature cedarwood tone and smokiness of frankincense... But the most important thing is the absence of a kick, which would make difference, something unusual or at least something distinct for example a unique iris note or Yasmin to make it more powdery (if you like to play it clean)
Verdict
High class ingredients, balanced, with a high potential but something is missing for excellence (not distint enough, reminds me a lot aqua di parma ambra). Good price value ratio as usual for a guerlain fragrance. Imo: Less sweetness more powder and woods and you would have superstar (+ a nice plum?)

Let s keep it short and sweet...Apropos sweet the hint of this fragrance lies in the plum and remembers me of Wallstreet of bond 9, very clean, sweet expensive smelling. The hole fragrance doesn't smell cheap. The rose reminds me of the rose used by Montale, and in both cases it doesn't smell neither too chemical or natural, and it s very well balanced and sympathetic. And then comes the superstar the oud. It s a kind sort of oud, not animalic, not to smooky and Atwell balanced... A very very good fragrance especially for that price... Longevity and Sillage should be good as all reviews say, I haven't had the opportunity yet to check that 100%... The musc gives the scent his clean character, amber enriches it together with the cardamom but play a second role, and pop up decently from time to time...totally recommend!
