This fragrance starts right off with a fairly strong smoky note and tobacco. The smoked cedar juniper is quite dominant from the beginning and reminds of a smokehouse. Childhood memories of when my grandmother smoked her own meat come to mind. On the one hand a nice, pleasant and warm scent and then somehow a bit penetrating. The tobacco note from the opening also stays on my skin for a while, but makes the scent quite masculine and reminds me of Cuba
I could hardly perceive the whiskey, just like the cinnamon, amber and labdanum. It was more like this: I had hardly felt a slightly sweet note in my nose when it had evaporated and was taken up again by the smoked scent. The dry down remains smoky, especially the smoked cedar juniper is in the foreground again. In the background the Somali incense resonates, very discreet.

The silage and shelf life is above average. The scent lasted a good 8 h on my skin with a good performance. Even the next morning there was still a slight note of dry down.

Although the fragrance is a unisex scent, I would describe it as rather heavy and masculine, due to the very smoky note and the tobacco. Also more for a man +30 who knows exactly what he wants and likes to stand out both with his personality and his scent. It is definitely more of a winter scent than a summer scent.

After the strong smell of alcohol had disappeared, the first notes of the opening came out.

An interplay of fresh, green and spicy notes follows. The freshness clearly came from the bergamot, but did not dominate, and in the next breath it alternated with the green scent of the bay leaf, which also left a somewhat bitter smell on my skin and also triggered the association, for whatever reason, of Thai food with me. The slightly spicy notes of pink pepper also began to tickle my nose, which gave the opening something sparkling.
Although it was exciting to experience the opening, I was glad when it slowly disappeared and the heart notes began to develop a nice powdery and soapy scent, giving my nose a little "relaxation". The course of the heart notes was very pleasant and nice to smell, especially when the first notes of the drydown could be smelled. This slightly sweet smell, which was dominated by tonka bean and vanilla, remained constant on my skin, although the projection weakened over time

Despite the tonka bean and vanilla, the fragrance is less sweet than expected, which I like very much.
The aroma is qualitative and has a good silage and shelf life of > 6 h. Whether he is also seductive, however, I can unfortunately not yet say. He didn't really convince me. But I'll give him a few more times to convince me

If you like fragrances with incense, you can't go wrong with Armani Privé Encens Satin (2014).
It is a fragrance that runs linearly from opening to dry down. It is creamy and soft and has this beautiful intense incense note, reminiscent of a Catholic church. Woody notes come through in the background, in good harmony with the incense. There is also a slightly sweet and spicy note that surrounds the fragrance like a veil. Maybe this is also the reason why the fragrance is also called satin.

There is not much to say about the fragrance, as it is very linear, yet very balanced and comfortable to wear.
The silage is better than average and the shelf life is > 8h. The scent even stays on the skin after showering. It's a beautiful evening and winter scent

But if you like it darker and less sweet, transparent, you are welcome to try Bois d'Encens by Armani Privé.

Ever since I first smelled that scent, I couldn't get it out of my head. Which is why I bought it shortly after after after several tests.
It is a very modern fragrance that joins the aquatic-mineral scents, such as Aqua Amara by Bvlgari. After the initial alcoholic opening, a sweet-fresh note emerges, accompanied above all by the bergamot. Shortly after comes a nice salty, soapy or powdery fragrance with a slightly woody note. It is difficult to grasp and describe the fragrance, as it reaches its base notes quite quickly and it is difficult to smell the individual notes. Nevertheless, very beautifully balanced and he seems very harmonious.
The silage is not very strong, also the durability on the skin is only about 3-4 hours. On his clothes he can stand a normal working day (6-8 h).
In my opinion, it can be worn for every season and every occasion, unless you want to attract attention with a strong fragrance.
Can be super layered with Escentric Molecule 01, which gives it an even woody scent and a stronger silage.

One could compare it to a fog, which is transparent on the one hand and has something dark and mysterious about it on the other. The fragrance is nicely smoky, woody and earthy, which is great to wear on cold winter days. It opens with a beautiful vetiver-cypress note, which I really enjoy, because I just love the scent of cypress in a perfume. Then the vetiver takes over, followed by beautiful woody notes of cashmere wood and musk, which give the fragrance its woody-earthy notes.

There are certainly some who don't like this scent, but if you like smoky, woody, slightly darker scents, you can't go wrong with this one. It also reminds me of Gucci Rush for Man, which remains my absolute favorite of all time

The fragrance has a good projection and lasts a good 6 hours on my skin.
