Aladdin's magic lamp
On a boring sunday noon I'm browsing this great forum and get off the hook and end up at Amber Musc (for her - was once) now for Everybody's Darling. I am shown a simple golden bottle that I find immediately very appealing. Smells: Amber, Musk, Oud, Incense - I like, like, like not so, like not so, but when I think of Amber/Musk I always think of Gaultier². I really liked him
I read a comment that arouses great desire in me. Equally times by a search machine hunted and see there, I could have that for € 98, -. So far I have not dared to make blind purchases, should I start now. The next comment, from a woman, warns me strongly against it, as the brew is supposed to have a very masculine side. I'll leave it alone then. 2 days later I find a sample in the souk and this is ordered immediately. And once again we made a very nice acquaintance, just by the way.
Unfortunately, the mail has been waiting forever, as it always is when you wait longingly for something.
Four days later, she's finally here. Cover off and it was clear to me why there was talk of a masculine side. The disappointment was on a scale of 10 approx. 8, but still sprayed on a test strip and sniffed. It all starts out very musky, is there oud in it? Thank God I didn't order that bottle.
One day later I grab the test strip again: Oh wonder, does it smell wonderful now.
So it's clear, I have to test it again extensively.
Round two: The top note still remains quite masculine for me.
Round three: Saturday morning 8 o'clock/- 2.0 degrees, I scratch my windshield clear and that's him. It groans and croaks as if something ancient is finally being let out.
I'm thinking of Aladdin's magic lamp. The djinni murmurs to me, finally you give me the air I need to breathe.
He's completely enveloping me. Warm, soft, velvety and round and I float the whole Saturday in this wonderful cover.

Rammsteinchens Cocaine
A smell of Rammstein, called cocaine, I have to test it. Rammstein polarizes, the name of the fragrance even more. So I decided the next chance I had, I'd hit him. This happened last Wednesday, because I finally had to do Rossmann again.
My approach is always the same. First I smell the spray head, then a test strip and then it's decided whether it's allowed on the skin or not. One knows the unpleasant experience with smells, which can be washed off only with difficulty again.
Now comes the first sniff, nothing...
The second sniff (test strip), almost nothing...
The third sniff, full load on the arm... a touch of almost nothing...
There's almost a panic spreading - anosmia, I don't smell anything anymore.
Stop, take another bottle, cross-check - phew, stinks the stuff, so no anosmia after all.
Rammstein leaves me quite helpless here, apparently I just can't smell this scent properly. I don't really notice much. Like a breath of body lotion after 8 hours on the skin.
At home arrive, the husband is consulted.
Okay, top note cocaine/heroin, what's that supposed to smell like? According to the motto:
Excuse me, but you may have a packet of cocaine on you - rather inconvenient.
Everything else, like gasoline, leather, fire ect.pp, belongs nevertheless rather to the heavy guns.
Finally, my husband comes out of the dining room with a bottle of whiskey, smears a few drops on my upper arm and thinks Rammstein's cocaine should smell like this.

At first I was of course very curious, because you were a recommendation from a lady who didn't know me. Finally I got in touch with her because of two completely different compositions and you were, so to speak, the big unknown in this trio.
Our first attempt was not quite round. You reminded me of a hairdresser's from my childhood and I wasn't sure if I could use it here and now. This impression was crowned with a flapsy remark of my best friend, are you wearing "Fragrance Old Grandma" today!?
So I kept my hands off you, but not for long. A few days later I reached for you again in the morning, my inner voice whispered, you two are not finished yet.
There was probably not this one moment, but a development over several attempts, in which you conquered my heart.
I find you really special, you are not sticky, sweet, shrill and trashy, no you are flowery but not overblown, you are fresh but not aquatic. You are an old grandma and a young girl; I can walk with you through centuries; you can be at home anywhere in the world; spring, summer, autumn and winter know you. Your corners and edges are nothing for anyone, but for me!
