New York when it Shines!
New York Oud is very sexy.
Its not often, I would describe a Bond No.9 fragrance as sexy- usually they're just "interesting" or "refreshing"...sometimes "beautiful" but New York Oud has just landed and created its own "Sexy Category" and so it should. I absolutley love Oud in fragrances but I always tend to worry about whether or not the Oud will be prominent and whether the fragrance will do it any justice.

New York Oud is composed beautifully. The Oud and Plum create something that is just magical. It offers a bold kind of sensuality without resorting to being vulgar and annoying. It retains a classiness and a sweetness which makes me like the scent even more. I will mention that this scent is incredibly heavy. Its very much in the territory of Fracas, Opium and Angel. Like those 3 fragrances, it is just extremely powerful and packs alot of punch and energy. So i would not recommend this fragrance for the faint of heart or for people who prefer light fragrances.

The Honey adds more sweetness to this fragrance and increases the sexiness of the scent, it sort of heightness the feeling of the fragrance. I picture a cold, dark night in New York- I picture a party atmosphere with people moving their bodies to loud heart thumping music. New York Oud would be the perfect scent for a night out on the town- especially when you want to get lucky or when you want to make an impact on a room, because I promise you, everyone from the people next to you to the people on the other side of the club will smell you.

A Wonderful Interpretation of Peace
The scent of peace is one of the main reasons that I love Bond No.9 fragrances so much. What this fragrance adds despite all of its simplicity is nothing short of a beautiful and very evocative fragrance that takes a very bold and interesting approach to freshness and its best.

I always go for fragrances that have a creamy edge to it and The scent of Peace definetly has that. In fact it has alot of it, With the burst of grapefruit and the crushed juices of beautiful Blackcurrant, The Scent of Peace begins like something that could very easily be the base of a wonderful fragrant recipe.
Lily of the valley brings a floral elegance and grace to the fragrance while the Musk brings the dry-down into a sensual and very soft territory.

I must tell you, Go out and sniff this fragrance, don't worry about expensive it is, but at least sniff it and you'll know what I'm talking about. If you're like me and you end up buying it then good for you because you'll have invested money into a fragrance that will become a friend, and the best kinds of friends never ever bore you and they never go out of style. Thats what The scent of peace offers me. It offers me something Honest, Likeable and fresh amongst a sea of cloying and provocative scents that only exist to try and get me laid lol. But on a more serious note. TRY IT and see for yourself.

Peace + Love to Everyone.

Summer in a Bottle
Fire Island is one of those touch and go kind of fragrances. Some people screw their nose up at it and exclaim that it would be cheaper to buy suntan lotion or that it is just expensive coconut spray. However being a lover of Bond No.9 I have to give my opinion.

Yes it smells like suntan lotion but this is Bond No.9. A brand based on the Exclusivity of having their fragrances displayed proudly in your bedroom, I think this is the issue with Bond No.9. Its not so much a fragrance than it is a novelty and a true interpretation of one of my favourite places in the world. Fire Island could very well be the gay man of the fragrance world, with its notes and scent straddling the lines of femininity with a hint of masculine warmth and energy.

The tuberose in this scent drives me crazy, I absolutely adore it. With the Patchouli, Musk and Neroli all complimenting the fragrance beautifully. What I love about Fire island is how expensive this fragrance smells, it offers something similar but far more complex and wider ranged than the average bottle of suntan lotion. It offers a beautiful warmth and a comfort that I always long for when my feet touches down on the sand whenever i visit Fire Island.

Its a Beautiful Scent. The lasting power is fantastic, but give the scent a sniff before you consider buying it. Because you'll be forking out alot of money if you choose to buy this scent like i did- but as far as i'm concerned, its worth the money.

Luscious but No Staying Power
The biggest issue I have with this fragrance is that to my nose it smells incredibly beautiful. Very soft, creamy and feminine but the staying power is beyond ridiculous. I don't say this to be dramatic, but I say it to be truthful- after spraying this on to my skin, it disappeared in 10 minutes, leaving little to no trace of its wonderful scent.

Of all the scents that Mariah Carey has attached her name too, Luscious Pink would be the one I'd say smelt the best. It has an incredible creamy component to it that is simply divine. The Bellini, Tiare and Blonde Woods do wonders for this fragrance with a very subtle hint of Sea Water which makes this perfect for the warmer days spent at the beach.

Luscious Pink however seems to possess a coldness for me. Its fluid composition and its never changing scent makes me long for days where the snow hits the ground and everyone wears their best trench coats and gloves. Whilst the hints of summer are radiant in this fragrance, it would be perfection in the colder months.

If the staying power were better, I would have bought this fragrance again, but now that its alot more cheaper than before, I may just pick up another bottle the next time i'm at Saks.

A Dignified Interpretation of Beauty
Arabian Wood stood out to me, so i decided i'd smell it

This is BEAUTIFUL!. ABSOLUTLEY BEAUTIFUL!. Like a MONSTER. I have been to the UAE and it is one of the most incredibly luxurious and personified places to visit in the world. Arabian wood is a testament to the beauty of the culture it has interpreted. Tom Ford himself should be congratulated for such a fantastic and complex scent and all with woods. The Chypre is definetly evident to me but it is sort of like the ribbon around the present, its pretty much what ties the woody notes all together and whilst i usually dislike an overload of woods, this works beautifully. I can pick up the luscious Gardenia in this fragrance, its prominent and strong, it gives the fragrance a very feminine sort of elegance but there might also be rosewood in this scent to, giving it a feminine touch, but its very muted, the oud is extremely dominant and well so it should be- its beautiful. Im not to sure if i get a spiciness from Arabian Wood but i definetly get a sense of warmth and that could be from notes of spices but to my nose its not as present as it might be for other reviewers. I think when you're purchasing a Tom Ford product and intend on wearing this, then you should be packed with confidence because i think it would take some guts to wear Arabian Wood- not that its overpowering or awful but the strength and the character of this fragrance is not going to sit right with everyone, which is a shame because i love exotic scents like this- its sexy and unashamed of how luxurious it is. In my opinion this is definetly a unisex scent. I ended up buying the 50ml bottle, which is incredibly expensive but worth every single penny
