Boss Bottled – The Minute Man
I regard Boss Bottled as the "minute man" of fragrances, totally planned and trimmed to success. Because of this it is a fragrance, which successful men (or wannebees) like to use. To my opinion, it is THE office fragrance, quite pleasant and refreshing. The intensity is exactly to the point, enough to be recognized but not too much to be regarded as intrusive.
Bottled starts with a nice and in this combination rather unique fruity note and contains an inspiring apple note as the "trademark", which is wrapped into some citrus notes. I cannot really discern the citrus notes, but there is also at least a note of geranium as well as some prune. After some minutes, the prune appears to get stronger.
Later the fruitiness gets support by some more woody notes and cinnamon.
The basenote is smooth and sweet with woody notes and vanilla and reminds only remotely of fruits and apples.
On my skin Bottled lasts in this sequence for a complete office day.
As I am spending a lot of time at the office, I like to wear it to this purpose but almost never on other occasions.

A night at the office ?!?
After reading some really bad comments about this fragrance, but after also learning that mainstream fragrances in general aren´t too well regarded here, I was delighted to receive a sample of Boss Bottled Night in order to make up my own opinion. I already like the day variant Boss Bottled for wearing in the office.

The night variant Boss Bottled Night starts with spicy sweetness, in which I believe to discern lavender. The note birch leaf probably stands for the freshness and this feels somehow accurate. On the other hand it reminds of an apple note and of a - very diluted - ginger note.

Then the sweetness fades a bit and a violet note appears. Also some woody notes, which I am not able to discern, as they are still dominated by the sweetness.

All in all, the fragrance I tested had nothing in common at all with a scent for the evening or for the night... This goad is not achieved, which isn´t too bad, as it does make a decent fragrance for everday use, e.g. for the office. Because of this, I am considering to buy it.

On my skin, the scent lasts medium.

Connected with Kenneth Cole Reaction ?
(Positive) surprise – this fragrance is not as sportive as the packaging might suggest.
Connected starts with hazes of sweet but not too sweet fruits, most notable the tangerine and the apple notes, the more tropical element can either be kaki or mangosteen as other sources name it. I cannot discern either one of them as I am lacking enough experience with them (btw: I take my hat off to all the experts who are able to discern a brasilian tangerine from a non brasilian tangerine just by the scent, but surely the are able to do that, because otherwise the stated notes would make no sense...).

The fruity sweetness is then anchored by some spicy elements like coriander and sage as well as by some lemon notes. Finally some grounded and authentic wood notes with some tobacco. Nice sequence of notes and impressions, appears to be quite masculine in spite of the sweetness at the beginning and is sportive but doesn´t dip into the wave of other sportive fragrances. To my opinion Connected is well suited for daily use, because it is not too intense. Although I would like even some more intensity, I am considering to buy Connected as office compatible and no too common fragrance.

Today they serve Potion on the Christmas Market
at least Potion by Dsquared takes one to an olfactory journey through both. In any case a very interesting fragrance which already has charmed me.
Rarely I encountered a that big dicrepancy between the scent on the test strip in comparison to the scent on the skin. The scent on the test strip was all sweetnes (like in cotton candy) until some woody notes appeared. On the skin it´s different: the start is also VERY sweet, until a herbal, spicy note rises and a little bit later some "stable" woody notes appear.
All in all this provides for a charming scent and reminds of fresh christmas baking like almond biscuit. The scent encloses the skin surely. Interestingly, it doesn´t smell as absurdly as it might sound...
This Eau de Parfum last up to one day on the skin and it works stronger then I first thought.
With this fragrance I have got a Potion which I really love; now it is up to me to find the right purpose for it...

Fruit-Diesel ?
Following my experiment with "Only the brave" I headed now toward testing my second Diesel fragrance "Fuel for Live Homme Denim". And again, I am not completely convinced, event though I like this one better than the previously tested. This is a pity, as I always liked the Diesel outfits and I also like the jeanslike package of this fragrance, because it suits well for Diesel.
"Fuel for Life Homme Denim" starts with a fresh Citrus note, which smells cleanly of lemon and bergamot, before some sweetness appears. Then another fruit appears, which could possibly be raspberry. The raspberry is wrapped into some dryer notes, which add some spicyness, but appears always to be a little bit synthetic.
All in all a really pleasant fragrance, which is good suitable for a lot of situation. Still, it lacks the special "Kick" or some more profoundness. Lasts at best medium.
