No, I don´t want to compare "Clear Day Men" with the past german TV Show of the same name, I just wanted to point out, that there are also a lot of fruits in this fragrance...
Clear day starts like a tropical fruit salad, with clear notes of Pineapple, Melon and Citrus, which one can possibly recognize as Bergamot. This rich fruitiness is being sweetened by some cinnamon before the scent starts to become a little bit dryer and more spicy by notes of coriander and lavender. It then remains in this distinct combination and balance of fruitiness and sweetness, hence the comparison to a (well made) fruit salad. Maybe not a miracle in terms of complexity, but still quite enjoyble and uncomplicated. I like to use Clear Day men after taking a shower to refresh and revitalize myself for the remainder of the day.

I like Hot Water very much; of course it has to accept comparisons to it´s big brother "Cool Water", simply because of it´s name, which for sure is quite a challenge.
However, I like the oriental character Hot Water which is decent enough to provide compatibility for every day use. It starts with some spicy citrus notes (maybe it is the absinth?) and some more darker fruit, which I cannot identify. Besides there are some pleasent herbs and spices, which then start to prevail. Then there is a freshness, which is not at all unlike some aspects of Cool Water, but is wrapped into all the seasoning. All this really brings up an associaton of oriental hot water, although I cannot really explain how this would smell.

I think not. Nor should popularity be a sin, but it is this, what "Le Male" is being blamed of quite frequently.
And yes, this fragrance is a "weapon", in terms of intensity only excelled by "Joop! Homme" to my opinion.
And yes, this a commonly used fragrance and it is used by a lot of people I cannot identify with (nor do I want to) and – even worse - who cannot dose properly.
And yes, I sensed it even in the office the other day and this is hardly the right place for Le Male.

Still, it is a magnificent fragrance – the oriental sweetness, supported mainly by notes of mint and cinnamon in combination with an exhilarating seasoning is special and does appear "crispier" than in all other fragrances I know of. This is why I still like to wear it, when I go out and am in the right mood for it.

Cool Water surely deserves this title, it is THE aquatic fragrance. Like a lot of other fragrances, Cool Water should not be blamed for users, dosing it too high, that others are annoyed by it (which shouldn´t be too easy, given the enjoyable character of the scent).
The fragrance itself is hard to describe. Cool Water starts with a light and fresh citrus note, which quickly fades. The remaining fresh and spicy scent I cannot really describe other than that is the perfect synthesis of a pleasent "being showered feeling".
Absolute classic, which should not being missed in any collection. I like to wear it, whenever I want to smell "being showered".

this what Eau de Lacoste bleu reminds me of...but let´s start from the beginning:
I own the "Vert" and "Blanc" Editions of Eau de Lacoste and wanted to give "Bleu" a fair chance and tested ist. Bleu starts with strong Citrus note, rounded by some other fruits. All in all I can comprehend the pink Grapefruit note. Afterwards, the grapefruit fades a little bit and the orange note gets a bit stronger. Also a strong, persistent sweetness builds up and remains to the finish. This sweetness reminds of vanilla, hence the association to the citrus dessert. I like bleu, it is an enjoyable every day fragrance. Nevertheless I decided not to purchase bleu (at least for the moment), even though I have a heart for reptiles, simply because the fragrance is not different enough from others.
