Young and cheerful...
that´s how I always feel when wearing Tommy.
This simply cannot be bad, which is why Tommy is among my favourite fragrances. I like the enjoyable and differenciated sequence of fruity notes.
Tommy smells distinctively, lasts long on the skin and doesn´t appear to be intrusively. It sure is a fragrance which can be used on an every day basis.
Tommy starts with citrus notes in terms of Bergamot and Grapefruit which are smoothed nicely by some hints of mint. Afterwards the apple appear; these fruity notes remain and are wrapped beautifully by the other notes.

Superdry, the sweet incense stick
Black is besides Steel the second Superdry fragrance in Zippo-Style flask. In this case, the flask is black with dark glass. I like the package as it is something special and suits well to the fashion of this label.
Black surely is the more eccentric of the twins: starts with an exciting fruitiness, which appears to be spicy, somewhere between licorize and spicy candy but never to flashy. Then a woody note appears which is comfortably smoky and in which one can think of olibanum. In combination with the fading but still present sweetness an awesome combination. This fragrance is more for the cold seasons but it should be possible to wear it the whole year at least for the evening.
Lasts medium to long.

Superdry – totally fresh !
Steel is the one fragrance (of two in total) in Zippo Style Flask, which is more suited to daily use. I like the flask, in this case in steel and transparent. The dosage while spraying is a little bit spare, so I have to use it 2 or 3 times more in comparison to other fragrances.
Steel starts with a fresh top note, in which one can think of lime and bergamot. It then changes to a very harmonious freshness which reminds of washed towels. Quite pleasant and unintrusive and very hard to describe – probably lilies and violet. For my taste, the whole scent could have been a little more intense, as this "modesty" leeds to lack of longevity. But maybe it is this decency which provides for good daily use capability and even office compatibility...

Overaged Macho...?
Where the frequently discussed One Million provides for the cliche of a young chav, the classic "Paco Rabanne pour Homme" heads into the opposite direction: the fragrance is intense, green and spicy-dry, the top note almost pungent.
All in all with a high recognition value and quite masculine, but leads to associations of a Macho who passed the best years some time ago.
Lasts long, but for sure neither a fragrance for me nor one, that I would regard as enjoyable in case of smelling it.

Greetings from my youth...
are submitted by Joop! Homme at least.
There is hardly any other fragrance which polarizes that much...eccentric enough for me to always have a 30 ml bottle in my collection.
I can comprehend that a lot of people are bugged by this scent, as it is really bigtime cherry-sweat and for sure is both intense and long-lasting. Whoever "takes a shower" in this fragrance, may not complain, if he is regarded as a fool...
However, I think that Homme is not only sweet, but has some woody notes on the skin, which provide for a unique character, if one has the ability to dose carefully.
For sure not an everyday fragrance, but still one I am always looking forward to use in case I am in the right mood...
