Chocolate pear cabbage
Well, a friend's first reaction was, "you smell feminine!" You're right, the scent is more likely to smell of women. But I don't care. The fragrance is so beautiful that it is still worn by me!

The smell strongly reminds of a chocolate fondue eaten with pears. The sweetness is unmistakable, as is the fruity pear. What also arrives, however, is a certain green note. She'll clean it all up for me. No chocolate stains on the tablecloth, but a fresh washed cloth with good people around who don't lose the chocolate on their way to the mouth.

I imagine myself super also at men, with very formal occasions, with which one (n) can be simply times well-behaved and may.

Bathing in milk.
After three days of testing I can now submit a picture.
DVN is a distant relative of Musc Ravageur, at least in my perception.

He starts quite creatively with a sour note, but keeps it for only a few minutes at low dosage. Then it becomes a cookie. Dipped in milk. Tasty. Only the scent of all too sweet can make a somewhat sticky impression.

Dries Van notes is a beautiful fragrance, in the drydown when the sweetness disappears something it really becomes, as Frederic Malle puts it, a bowl filled with pleasure. Or just a sandalwood bowl filled with sponge cake, dipped in warm milk.

The milkiness, caused by the chemical mentioned above, gives an idea of how a bath together with Cleopatra might have smelled. A certain envy develops towards a certain Mark Antonius.

Minus point is the weak Sillage. And he can't get near the "warmth" of MR.

Otherwise test recommendation. If you are looking for an all-rounder you can't do anything wrong here.

Edit:
Well, now I've worn it more than once. I like him more and more. I no longer smell the milk so strongly, but I smell the nutty, aromatic milk more and more. Is this possibly the nutmeg?

Gone with the wind.
He lays himself gently on the skin. Like a cloud, he's following you. Almost invisible and yet present. At first a sweet swath of pleasant lightness it becomes later ... only lighter. My entry into the Malle world. At first completely unknown to me, I just test the sample. Wow, nothing stands out. But it fits like this. An elaborate artificial understatement. Like a warm honey milk in winter. Or the protective window pane in icy winds.

Oud Wood..
Oud Wood. I tested him after I tested Tobacco Oud. I was just about to try out Tom Ford's. In direct comparison, Oud Wood seemed to be very weak, while Tobacco Oud was masculinity in person. But you should never test perfumes at the same time. I ordered Tobacco Oud, I thought. Oud Wood has come. OK, I'll keep it anyway, it smells good. And behold, after several applications, without testing Tobacco Oud at the same time, it has become one of my favourite fragrances. The fragrance is very smooth and balanced.

To the fragrance:
In short, it reminds me of a clean wellness area where I was with my father and siblings years ago. So a clean sauna with fresh wood and sweet (Katdamon-Vanille-ecetera-) infusion. No sweat, of course. Very smooth and cuddly fragrance. Does not smell overly male, but very good!

Simply a floating wooden slightly oudige sweet aura, which brings a smile to your face when you sniff it.

Enough kitsch, test recommendation!

New classic or Dixi?
The first time I tested him in a perfumery, he didn't really convince me. The price of that marly is just so high. But he hadn't let go of me entirely. He kept it in mind. A further test opportunity arose and I must say, the smell smells really good

To the fragrance:
I can't detect a single scent. There's just too many different things in it. But I like the composition. At first it seems like a fruit tea, slightly sweetened with honey. Then it becomes more masculine. More mature. More noble. A little wild, yet distinguished. Oud is present. Layton-exclusive smells of a mild spice-wood-fruit blend. Everything what is good mixed together, nevertheless a nice result

Edit:
The nose gets used to it very quickly, be careful when spraying.

EditEdit:
After a few hours I notice a woody cinnamon-honey apple pie.

Honestly, sometimes I have to think about the Dixi Dextrose when I smell it. So in a nutshell: Strawberry porta-potties with oud, but finer.
