Fleurs de Citronnier is a spring/summer freshie but unlike any other. Not too sweet, not too floral, not too lemony to remind you of a toilet cleaner. Recently I got completely fed up of citrus scents but this one is an exception, probably due to how unique and well constructed it is. Neroli and citruses don't scream here, they go well complemented by dry petitgrain and musk. Suitable for men and women alike, it's a very comforting scent. If you got tired of citruses like me, give this one a chance. Fleurs de Citronnier proves that one can fall in love with notes that weren't favorite - all it takes is a master perfumer striving for perfection and originality. And that's not so common these days...

Borneo 1834 is Serge Lutens in a nutshell. A highly unique scent at the time of its creation and it still is. Created by Christopher Sheldrake, Serge Lutens being its creative director. Shortly after Sheldrake joined Chanel, that house came up with Coromandel, their own patchouli take, no doubt had Sheldrake his nose in it. A dusty patchouli with chocolate, not as sweet or earthy as Coromandel, Borneo is the reference patchouli smell that is a legend for the ages.

La Vierge de Fer is a cold white floral scent. It is probably as close to unisex as a modern fruity floral can get. Lily, juicy pear, a touch of incense in the background, it also gives a metallic feel. This scent definitely stands up to its name - Iron Maiden - though wearing it is no torture for me:))

Sarrasins is THE reference indolic jasmine scent. First I was disappointed as it's not as animalic as expected. Rather very wearable which can be a good thing:) People around me say it's floral but more I wear it, Sarrasins feels like highly unique, non-sweet fruity leather. I love it, one of the best scents from Lutens.

When you name a fragrance Cèdre, one expects a blast of cedarwood. Not here. Tuberose, cedarwood and spices are the main players but sometimes it’s more about tuberose, sometimes it feels more like a cedar fragrance. One of Lutens' highly unique scents that make the brand so desirable.
