Overwhelming treasure
It was the search for some nice summer scents that I could get into my rotation, that brought me here.

Alongside "Blu Mediterraneo - Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura | Acqua di Parma" I also found this treasure.

As it is a EdT you will not expect a huge performance out of this beautiful small blue bottle, but in my opinion it delivers just fine!

From the opening you get a very fresh start with grapefruit and fresh fig wood.

This dries down within the first hour of wearing to become a minimal citric, but even heavy fruity-woody smell, which will follow you up to 6+ hrs.

I can even smell it on the shirt from yesterday!

The sillage seems to be quite good, because some noticed this rather rare smell.

As mentioned before I also have "Blu Mediterraneo - Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura | Acqua di Parma" in my collection, which beautiful layers on top top this fig scent!

Pure summer feelings with a light tan and fresh summery smell - Thats AdP with its blu series!

Una notte italina
I circled around this one quite often. Tested it, made up my mind, forgot about it. I own "Chicago High | Vilhelm Parfumerie" which is pretty much the best scent they have in their collection and stands out in my selection as one of a kind. I was expecting the same level of perfume here.

Basilico & Fellini has a story to tell. It drags you and settles the scene in an old farm house on the countryside of Tuscany. The italian summers are full of white wine, tomato sugo with basil and warm temperatures.

The scent opens up with its fruity composition of dragonfruit, basil and fig. Then you come across the vetiver and violet that both freshen it up even more. As it drys down to warm skin it closes with fresh hay on the sun kissed fields.

Wearing this scent is giving you a great emotion. As mentioned before you sit down in a film set of the great Fellini and you feel the dolce vita.

Not Fellini, but the scent or my idea of a film set could be found in „Call me by your name“. The italian countryside house and small town are the images I get smelling this beautiful composition.

One more Vilhelm perfume in my collection, one more great emotion to get dragged into!

In vino veritas!
First to say: I threw an eye on this fragrances for quite some time now. Bought it blind, because it was hard to find in a scent store anywhere around!

From previews and statements I could not draw a clear image of the composition and its performance…

Today I got the package with its beautiful presentation in the handmade leather box surrounding the flacon.

I was greedy to finally get some sprays on my skin!

After the first FW I am trying to describe my impressions in the follwoing words:

Fermented fruits/wine grapes meet wet woods and sweaty leather.

The story behind the scent follows these notes.

Gladiator drinking fermented wine to lower their fear pre fight to death in sweaty leather armour with weapons made of steel and wood.

I think this scent is very unqiue and special. Definitely nothing for every nose. Its not a crowd pleaser. Its not easy. Its complex and story telling.

You need to know to story to understand this scent.

Its opening is strong and musty. Similar to Monsieur by Frederic Malle with its patchouli monster, smelling wet and musty as well!

As I am a big fan of Monsieur, I think I will get along with Rudis very good.

Furthermore I had something on my mind that I could not combine. A fragrance I tested recently, that smell rather similar to Rudis.

Looking here on parfumo and checking for the similar scents, I was able to please that search.

B683 (and its extrait version) from
Barrios are both scents I know, like and admire for their composition. They are both quite hyped right now, what might increase the chance, that you know them.

Rudis is the wet and fruity version of them. Surely Rudis was created earlier, but there are similarities! Imagine wearing B683 on a rainy day, wearing grandpa’s old leather jacket that was packed up on your wet basement room!

I think you get the image!

For all lovers of special scents, that are must haves for those specials selection - go for it! You won‘t be dissappointed!

The uncomfortable badass!
While riding your vespa down the street in Naples you get kicked off by a little terroni standing on the corner! Shirt 2 buttons open, with a shining gold chain poping up.

As a tourist you can‘t understand a word he is yelling, but you surely will smell his earthy, dirty, metallic smell all over the place.

You both end up in a fist fight and the blood and sweat he surrounds you with, gives you a nightmare of scent that will stick on your skin for days!

Orto Parisi surely is a master of his art. The whole collections overs from earthy, over green/aquatic to woody scents everything you need as a modern perfume enthusiast. It‘s neither old school, nor classy (parisian)!

This scent is build onna story of a young italian poor criminal. A thug that got his hands dirty, maybe even killed someone.

The smell is dirty, earthy and rough at the opening. Through the dry out you get a little sweetnes in there. I will not share comparisons to the infamous black afgano, but I surely prefer this scent. Its like a add on/ a sequel to the nasomato scent.

Surely not everyones taste, but a great outfit addition for you bad boy look. Nothing for a tie and suit game, but for a loose fit or leather jacket outfit!

You want to be a terroni? Then act like one (please do not mistake this for an invitation to do criminal stuff!)

Ghostrider in the sky
As I got the chance to test this beauty, I was not prepared for what awaited me from first smell!

Immediately I was pulled into a cote and stood in between big and muscular horses. I could feel the pulsating energy of these majestic animals biting each other, trying to figure out who leads the pack.

In addition to this aggressive animalic note there was one primary topic - vintage leather. A very stable and strong performing note (that stays very clean in the dry out!).

I also smelled a lot of smoke/birch tar, that rounds the composition of leather, animals and smoky notes.

The patchouli, amber and rose are side players, that seem to border the more present notes. They guide the strong opener and calm the clean dry out.

The whole composition works perfectly fine, because it tells a story. Its one of the most artistic compositions I know and I can recommend it to everyone, who likes animals, especially horses, leather and smoky perfumes!
