Lido di Venezia
Homoeolegans, a brand I didn't even know existed before. Ernst Ernster presented them in detail in his Esxence-Blog, if we hadn't stopped at that stand, I wouldn't know them until today. Our joint project "we are now testing an unknown Italian brand" washed us in front of the rather inconspicuous stand, which in retrospect proved to be a lucky strike. A brand that could serve as a prototype for the niche world, a brand with studio and manufactory character, which somehow made me think of JoHannes' studio in Nuremberg. In other words, there's a lot of passion and heart blood in it, honest, no frills, no marketing with big, flashing signs and/or half-naked women, no frills...pure.
Tadzio immediately took a liking to me at the booth. Homoelegans wants to reflect the Lido in all its facets, on the homepage they talk about an embrace of sun, salt, sea, sand and fruits.
Yes, it's true, there's a bit of everything. In the beginning there are nice tangy oranges and limes, rather rich orange oil than freshly cut. The image of the lagoon island, of sun, sea water and especially of warm sand comes to your mind like a picnic on a blanket on the beach with a glass of champagne, casual, lively, Mediterranean. This sour, tangy-fresh yeast note makes one really think of champagne, but "Bollicine" remains my reference here. But the heart of Tadzio is its warm side, its warm and spicy side, which forms a beautiful contrast to everything fresh and maritime. The strawflower aroma with its slight ambry sultan notes, which also slightly remind one of the sables main chord, create a warming feeling of life on a picture book summer day without mobile phone, ipad and wlan. This spice mix has something of salty gingerbread, here too a bridge is built between sweet, unsweet and salty notes. Sounds strange, but fits together wonderfully.
But there is still nothing Christmassy about this fragrance. I don't think Tadzio is an everyday scent that is sprayed on like this, but rather a fragrance for lovers who give it their full attention, who want to enjoy the moment, who want to let a fragrance work its full effect on them.
Over the years I know my scent pretty well, Tadzio is a fragrance that I admire from a distance, for its beauty, for its density, for its naturalness, for the images it creates, for its individuality, for the perfume romanticism - not to have a mass product in front of me...but I will probably wear it too rarely, because I am probably too simply knitted in everyday life in terms of fragrance. But if the opportunity should arise to get hold of a remaining bottle, I will be happy to take it.
The durability is very good with 7-8 hours, the Sillage should fill an office well, but does not kill you. For me, a unisex scent without rash on one side will be wearable all year round, except for midsummer.

Great Mark, who deserves to be more in the spotlight..but maybe that's what makes her so charming...
