What can he do, the Percival? Yes, EVERYTHING! :D

And I'm already done with my review. :D

Since it has snowed again in our Tyrol in the last few days, although we are heading towards spring and this fact has annoyed me a bit, I was very happy when I saw the blue sky and the sun this morning.
I opened the window and heard the birds chirping. Great, the day can begin! Just spray on Percival and out into the beautiful world!

Percival is for me a great fragrance that I liked from the first second and the fragrance that I have worn the most in the last year. A good mood scent and I always like to have a good mood. :D
Percival is not a 0-8-15 fragrance for me, as it is sometimes portrayed. It just does what it is supposed to do. It's fresh, spicy, aromatic, fruity, and has enough depth to be worn year round, although I prefer it from spring to late fall.

Percival can be worn by any age group and goes down well in the office, as well as on a date or even in all other walks of life. It is perfect for a signature scent.
It starts with a fresh and fruity mix of spices and not strongly citrusy like most fragrances of its kind. Although not listed in the fragrance pyramid, ambroxan is also a strongly perceptible component, but very pleasant and fresh and not as penetrating and annoying as in Dior Sauvage.

What I love most with Percival but is the drydown, because the lavender is just a dream. You think after some time that the fragrance is gone, but then you suddenly feel again this beautiful cloud of fragrance in the nose and you are happy again and smile. :)

You can feel the great quality with the Percival and although this fragrance is not a reinvention, I find it special because it is simply much better, longer lasting and deeper than all the fragrance twins listed. As the only competition I would see here the Foconero of Tiziana Terenzi, however, Foconero is more aquatic and goes in a slightly different direction.

The H&S of Percival is outstanding and one smells him from the morning to the evening. If you spray the clothes, you can be sure that the laundry basket smells like it even three days later. Here I must note, however, that I have a batch from the release year 2018 and do not know whether PdM has meanwhile also taken offense at this great fragrance...

What is often criticized here is the price of this fragrance and that such a "generic" fragrance shouldn't cost so much because it's not unique enough... Uniqueness is in the eye of the beholder and if a fragrance does what it's supposed to do and then has super quality and staying power, it's unique enough for me. Fresh fragrances usually have problems with the H&S and surely you should be happy that Percival doesn't have those problems. For this you can also put a little more on the table, provided of course that the financial possibilities allow it. I find 210,- Euro for 125 ml also relatively much, but not because it is Percival but because 210,- for each fragrance is a lot of money. I got a very good offer and got my 125 ml bottle for just under 127,- Euro. This is not cheap, but Percival is worth it to me and that alone counts.

Percival is simply a very beautiful fragrance! The modern all-rounder! :D

after writing only short statements lately and also not intending to write a comment, something happened today that changed my mind and moved me to a little more words.

First, I would like to briefly explain why I don't write so many comments about fragrances and leave it at short statements only. Those who have read my comments know that they are always linked to an experience and have a little story behind them. I don't like to write comments just to give my opinion about the scent or to describe the scent. Maybe that's not quite right either and maybe that will change, but for the moment it is.

I also wrote a statement for the Chanel Edition Blanche a few months ago. I described the fragrance as good, gave it a score of 8, but felt that I would get bored with this fragrance in the long run. I didn't buy this fragrance either, but kept testing it in different perfumeries and in different situations. Somehow I was not sure whether the fragrance is good or yet only mediocre.

Since I have a birthday in October and my sister did not know what to get me, I gave her a little tip. :-) Yes, it was then a 50 ml bottle of Chanel Edition Blanche. But at that time I still wasn't sure if it was the fragrance I really wanted to have in my collection and that's why I left it still shrink-wrapped in the cupboard. I then continued to test it whenever I passed by the Müller. The scent still couldn't quite convince me though, but it was also the wrong time now as the temperatures went down to the basement and it was time for other scents. My Chanel Edition Blanche ended up on a sales platform and was also almost gone.... But somehow it didn't want to leave. Today I was again briefly at my regular drugstore (I've already mentioned the name and yes, here in Austria the drugstores are also open at the time of the lockdown) and sprayed on the Chanel Edition Blanche again. The temperatures have been really spring-like this week and I believed that the fragrance would work on me now or not at all.
Applied a few sprays and went to the office. Today again been alone in the office, because we have a kind of alternating service and I let my colleagues in the morning the precedence and go myself only after 12 o'clock, when they are already gone and are out in the field. :-)

Now I was sitting there enjoying the nice creamy lemon. For me, it is perhaps the nicest lemon I have smelled in a fragrance. The scent is very citrusy in the beginning, but then becomes milder, creamier, and woodier. It stays fresh the whole time, though, and doesn't drift into the gourmand like some similar lemon fragrances.

I was now sitting there doing my work and the scent got quieter and quieter, but the quieter it got the more I liked it. 3-4 hours passed and I kept getting a slight breeze of this great drydown in my nose and truly felt butterflies in my stomach. Yes, now it has captivated me, this great scent that I thought I would get bored of and it's just such a lemon scent now. This drydown is just great. It's a nice mild, slightly sweet and woody lemon that just makes you feel great and gives off a certain masculinity.
I only wish that the sillage of this great drydown was a little stronger, so that those around me could also get more out of it, but also myself.

For me, the decision is now quite clear! My bottle I will keep and it is now opened after 4 months of storage in the closet and I will enjoy the fragrance more often.
I'm just glad I gave the fragrance more chances.
The score was also immediately raised to a 9. :-)

because my last comment was a while ago, I decided today to write a few lines about the Hacivat from the house Nishane.
Why am I doing this? Well, I used up my sample today and wore the scent all day again. During the drive home from work I thought about the scent...
Why did I actually order the sample? After so many good reviews and this big hype I wanted to test the "better" Aventus and then decide whether to buy it or not, because a blind purchase for 295 Euro / 100 ml is out of the question for me.

Is he now the better and more enduring Aventus? For me personally, there is no way he is better. You can discuss about the durability, but for me that's not decisive either.

I only wore the Aventus a few times and had to find out that it made me feel very good and that it immediately brought me compliments. I also explained this some time ago in my comment on the Creed Aventus. Nevertheless I do not own Aventus yet.
Hacivat does not have that charm. For me it is not as loose, playful and self-confident as Aventus and it is also very hard to find in the ladies' world, because it does not bring any compliments, although I have worn it more often than Aventus. My wife even finds him repulsive and horrible! But that's another matter, she has a hard time with unscented products... D Hacivat is like the shy brother of Aventus, who can do something but doesn't dare to do it and therefore goes unnoticed. You can imagine it like in many teenage movies.

The fruits in a Hacivat are imagined as if they have been in the fruit bowl for a week, are already overripe and about to spoil. You can already see the first little flies attacking the fruit... In the beginning the smell is only of these overripe fruits and later the woods join them... But then the woods are somehow completely unbalanced and they always alternate with the fruit. Sometimes you have the overripe fruits in your nose and then suddenly the wood... Somehow everything is brute and unbalanced, as if the fragrance is not yet finished.
It is not a bad smell, the quality is certainly not bad, but whether you absolutely need it and then even for 295 euros / 100 ml... Well, I do not need it! To be honest, it smells like a typical Dupe for me, but it costs the same as the original and that's a problem...

What is really good about Hacivat is its durability. It has lasted all day. I'm not quite sure about the Sillage, I don't think it's as strong as one would assume from the ratings.

Another reason why I like Aventus more than Hacivat is that Hacivat is not a summer perfume for me. I find it too heavy and exhausting in higher temperatures. The reason for this is again these strong smelling overripe fruits that could strike you on the stomach. For me, Hacivat is a fragrance for the whole year, but I wouldn't wear it on hot summer days.

Now I ask myself, how does it come to such a big hype, although the fragrance has not reinvented the wheel and is still so outrageously expensive. I also notice that many perfumos order this fragrance blindly and then sell it again in the souk after 1-2 ml are used up. This shows me that this fragrance just doesn't do justice to the hype and the price!
The 2 ml sample was enough for me and thanks to Souk I saved myself a lot of money and trouble about a bad buy...

because today is full moon and I can't sleep, I decided after a long time to write a few lines more. It's about the "King" Creed Aventus!
I have known the Creed brand for many years, but since I only owned designer fragrances and only went to stores where there were designer fragrances, I never had the chance to try it and actually I didn't feel the need to. Like many of us, Jeremy helped me out and I wanted to try Aventus sometime. When I was in Rosenheim, I visited a nice perfumery and saw him standing on the shelf. I sprayed it 2-3 times on my arm and didn't really want to test any other fragrances. I had fulfilled my goal and I left the perfumery relatively quickly. Maybe you know the feeling, if you don't want to buy anything anyway, then you don't want to test much, because you feel a bit strange...
Well, let's get to the scent. I liked the scent very much, in the beginning so beautifully fruity through the pineapple, bergamot and apple, but this pineapple was something I had never smelled before in fragrances. A little later the woodiness comes and it becomes more elegant, which gave me the feeling that it is really made for upscale people or business people. I didn't feel properly dressed for this fragrance in my T-shirt, sneakers and shorts, but I still enjoyed it while walking through the city. Before I went home, I entered a larger, more upscale shoe store. And there something happened that I had not experienced yet. A shop assistant came up to me and asked me if she could help me. I thanked her and said that I just wanted to look around and let her know if I needed help. I strolled around the shop and then she said so: "You're wearing a very nice perfume, very pleasant and fresh... She followed me and repeated it again and said this to another colleague... I don't have to tell you what a great feeling it was and now I already understood the hype about this fragrance! I wore the scent 2-3 times later and I always felt good wearing it and strangely enough, it also had a positive effect on the ladies every time. Aventus already has something that the others don't have...
I haven't bought the Aventus yet, because it's not really cheap and this batch topic keeps me from buying it. I've tried a few clones, but I haven't had this good feeling with any clone and nobody else has done the pineapple as well, not even Nishane with Hacivat... Well, after this comment I think again whether "King" Aventus should move in with me after all... What do you think?

I was in my mid-20s when 1 million came on the market and I always had a perfume at that time, but mainly it was birthday presents and I just wore what I got. This has been going on since my early teenage years. My aunt, who lives in Switzerland, used to bring me a new perfume as a present whenever she visited us. When I was 24-25 years old, I started to try out new fragrances and so it happened that one day I happened to be at the Bipa and discovered this sparkling gold bar on the shelf. I took this bottle in my hand, sprayed the perfume on my wrist and I was already done for... I was immediately in love with this fragrance, but since I already had a "gift" perfume at home and was short of money, I postponed the purchase until the next opportunity. I already owned a perfume and that's all you need... :-D That's what I thought at that time, today it is of course completely different... In the next time I thought about the great perfume again and again and imagined how cool it would be when I finally bought it or maybe got it as a present, because sometime my birthday is coming again and someone will ask me if I want something special... :-) And so days, weeks, months went by, but I just didn't get the chance to buy 1 million. I actually thought at that time that I was the first to discover this perfume and that because of the brand Paco Rabanne nobody else would think that it was such a great perfume anyway. I'm sure I'll be the first person around me to wear it, because it's not Boss, Armani or YSL... Who's gonna buy that perfume before me... Yeah, that's what I was actually thinking. :-D But then I noticed that 1 million is heavily advertised on TV and so I thought that now is the time to get a bottle. A few days later my uncle came to visit me, which happened several times a week. I had a good connection to him, he lived nearby and was only 14 years older than me, so he was a kind of role model and more of an older brother than an uncle for me. He entered our apartment, I was happy as always when he came, but then I was speechless... Yeah, I noticed he was wearing "my" one million. The whole apartment smelled of it and for me a world almost broke down, because I "discovered" this scent and now he is wearing it and I could not buy it... How unfair this world is... :-) Sometime later I got my 1 Million, but it was not the same anymore... I used up the bottle and never bought it again. My uncle wore it even longer and that didn't bother me so much, because now I realized that I didn't discover 1 million and that almost everybody wears it now. :-D About 2-3 years ago my 61-year-old colleague entered the office and I experienced a Dejavu, because it smelled very strongly after 1 million... I drew his attention to his perfume and he was very surprised that I knew it... He was very proud that I recognized it. :D I just hope that he didn't think until then that this perfume was discovered by him... :D
