Now I would like to say something about this long lost and forgotten scent, but I will defend my point of view very lonely. As bad as the ratings are here, I have to say I don't find it. But stop it! The gallows shall wait until I have spoken out

It began with me as a child who always stopped by the drugstore's fragrance shelves. But this one captivated the little boy in the airport's duty-free shop, waiting for the long-awaited first flight. And so it came about that I finally got this gem after one of my father's next long business trips. It was my first perfume just for me, so I was proud to wear it every day
To protect my father here I have to say that he was never a perfume enthusiast like I am and so he just bought this fragrance for me after I had expressed my liking

So this perfume was my daily scent for the next years, which I would not have exchanged for anything. But with time I collected a few more drugstore scents, so that this one was not used so often anymore. So with the time I got on the right track and used some more high quality perfumes
But I hope you now understand why this little scent of Boss can't be dismissed by me just with a hint. It has simply gotten its own place in my nose and brain. This scent is connected with so many memories for me that it was probably rated too high because of these 2 points. But I find this synthetically fresh start simply very pleasant. For me it radiates old-familiar, like probably the Acqua di Gio for many others in connection with father or grandfather.

And yes, it goes over very quickly after the fresh start into the very close phase, as you know it from many a Boss fragrance. Also the transition from heart to base note is extremely fast and after a short time I only smell a mixture of lavender, vetiver and a little bit of tonka bean.

After about 4-5 hours it is over and you have to start all over again to enjoy it again. No, joking aside, I can understand if you do not want to own the scent. And I wouldn't either, if I hadn't experienced so much with this scent. But it is simply too important to me to get rid of this one.
In addition, I find the flacon simply much too beautiful not to look at it from time to time.

Now you know why I have this strange fragrance in my collection, as well as many a relic from the drugstore
Don't worry, you won't have to bear this scent yourself, because it hasn't been produced for a long time.

So now that I have put my thoughts to work and explained my way to perfume, it is up to you to repack the gallows or let it take over. I hope very much it is plausible why I stand so much to this perfume, maybe you also have such a "nostalgic smell"?

The fragrance is definitely best for the really hot summer days. But since I bought this one, I can't stop wearing it.
It begins with such a strong bergamot note that you feel like you are sitting in a bergamot fruit. But the name already gives a hint of this. But in my opinion the Italians have managed to make this citric freshness come along without such a strange artificial touch.

If you just think the citric notes are slowly settling down, more bergamot follows. But I think that is exactly what you want for the summer. For me there are more wooden notes coming through in the dry-down than I would have guessed from the given notes.

Afterwards it disappears very quickly on my skin. You can guess which scent is on it for another hour, but after that it's over. I think this is the biggest weakness of this otherwise very successful fragrance. But it is no problem to spray this fragrance from time to time.

I must say that ADP has created a very good fragrance for the very hot days of the year. Since you don't roam around outside too much in very high temperatures, you can easily overlook the meagre shelf life.
Bergamotto di Calabria is definitely equally good for both sexes and I must say I do not regret the blind purchase in any way, which is unfortunately due to the corona situation.

First of all, I would like to say that I see myself as a layman when it comes to fragrance. I have been really interested for a few months now and read a lot about the subject on this website.
Now that I couldn't resist the hype any more, I went to the souk and bought a small bottle of this good little water here. But since I am always looking for an everyday fragrance with a good price/performance ratio (maybe also because I live in Schwabenländle), I ordered the Armaf CDNIM at the same time, which was praised as the best dupe. Since it is unfortunately not up to me to determine every single note exactly, I will refer to my perception in this text, so do not expect the best resolution of the components. I think there were already enough direct reviews of the fragrance, so I'd rather refer here to the comparison to CDNIM.
So enough babbling, we come to comparison. I sprayed Aventus on my right arm to get a first impression of the so hyped scent. But the first smell I noticed didn't exactly match my expectations. I thought he would knock me out, but the first seconds didn't smell as brilliant as expected, but more like a burnt fruit. Many will hate me for it and maybe it is due to a not optimal batch, but I think the first minute it is too smoky for me.
But then I sprayed CDNIM on my left arm and on my first breath my stomach almost turned around. What the hell is that?! That smells more like chemistry than Monsanto did in the lab... This continued for the next 20 minutes, while I liked Aventus better and better.
Then the cheap clone started to change and I started to like it. After about 45 minutes the almost same smell of both my arms was emitted. If you smelled a lot on your arm, the cheap version of the fragrance still gave you a hint of chemistry, while the Creed fragrance just smelled delicious.
But after a good hour, as a layman, I no longer smell a difference. Sometimes the right arm seems better, sometimes the left. But that would be splitting hairs. I understand in a way now the hype around this fragrance, but still not to 100% the price. Of course it is a niche fragrance, but you don't pay for uniqueness anymore, because this fragrance is worn by a lot of people.
The dupe costs a fraction of the original, but also has its downside, namely the opening and the top note. Otherwise I find the Armaf scent successful, maybe the top note will be improved in future batches, but in my opinion the Creed scent in the top note could be improved a little bit.
The projection was quite good for both, although a little stronger for the more expensive original.
When I have used up both of my bottlings, I will definitely buy one of them, at the moment it looks more like the cheaper scent from the Far East. But who knows, maybe this will change.
Both are definitely very good fragrances and I hope I could help some who have thought about buying a clone.
