Lactonic veil
It's a rainy April day and everything is annoying. Suddenly I get the message that I can pick up my parcel! Blind buy, as too often lately... However, I liked the scent pyramid and was still looking for something that I could easily wear as a "second skin" in hospital without catapulting the patients into a coma...
The first spray was a cloud of ambroxan, a bit unpleasant and chemical. But it quickly subsided. At home, after a hot shower, I sprayed myself and was surprised. A soft veil with a delicate fruity opening. Nothing intrusive, but close to the skin and, as many have already mentioned, cozy. This will be Milchakkord. Creamy, clean, but also fresh and lulling.
I wore it every day for the next few days and kept asking myself what this fragrance reminded me of. I smelled that on you at some point? At some point, the scales fell from my eyes. Even if the fragrance pyramid says otherwise, I often have the memory of "L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme | Guerlain". I wore this fragrance every day, even in bed. Comforting and round! However, the formula has changed, but that's for another time.
"Milk Musk (Eau de Toilette) | Molton Brown" is a lactonic musk fragrance that is hardly offputting. It's never really gourmand for me, just bordering on edible. Not everyone likes the smell of milk, but here it is pleasant even for oncology patients.
Lasts about 5-6 hours on the skin. I don't really expect more from an EDT. Sillage hardly, but an intimate scent bubble. Hardly any projection either. It is more of a fragrance that is just for me. It radiates a sense of security and seems to make me feel even closer. Patients don't lie
As I have become the type of person who likes strong oriental fragrances and prefers general beast mode scents, this fragrance remains for special occasions where I don't have to and/or don't want to be the center of attention
Even if you would classify the fragrance as more feminine, you can also wear it as a man these days. It's great for layering and also "defuses" some fragrances.
So far, I've layered it with "Invite Only Amber | 23 | Kayali" and "Goddess | Burberry" and have even received compliments.
If you like lactonic fragrances like "Bianco Latte | Giardini di Toscana", you will certainly also find this soft version exciting.
The EDP will sooner or later move in with me, that's for sure.

Clean girl scent
Hello everyone,
"Delina (Eau de Parfum) | Parfums de Marly" is probably known to the entire perfume community worldwide. Hyped on social media, advertised by fragrance connoisseurs and now I myself have become the "victim" of my (scent) bubble.
First of all, the price is already blatant and I only bought the 30ml...
I was able to test Delina for about a week in the beautiful spring weather. The opening seems fresh and floral to me. A burst of delicate roses. Not oma-like, but more like a fresh bouquet of roses. As a florist, I was delighted that it doesn't come across as SO synthetic. There is also a slight acidity and fruitiness (?), probably from the rhubarb and lychee. Very beautifully blended. Like a floral mobile that moves and always reveals different shapes and facets.
The heart notes already resonate in the opening and merge into a symphony of fine notes.
However, the drydown surprised me. When you read vanilla, incense and vetiver, you often expect dark, creamy, earthy notes. Here, I perceive all of this as a skin-permeating veil. Like a cloak that accompanies me into the evening. Beautiful, feminine and classy.
As you can probably already guess, I think "Delina (Eau de Parfum) | Parfums de Marly" is wonderful. It smells clean, appealing to others and can really be worn at any time. For many, it is certainly a signature fragrance. You can't really offend anyone with it, because it's incredibly crowd pleasing.
Based on unsolicited positive reactions from those around me, I find the sillage to be very good, as well as projection within the first 2 to 3 hours, then this decreases progressively until it becomes a skin-hugging fragrance. Lasts up to 9 hours on my skin. On clothes, especially on wool, it lasted a few days.
Delina is undoubtedly a women's fragrance, even though I wear it as a man. I occasionally layer it with "Love Don't Be Shy (Perfume) | Kilian" and get compliments from strangers or am asked what smells so good. I think the marshmallow note makes this layering particularly appealing. Some were disappointed that they didn't meet a woman :D, but I can live with it myself.
I can also imagine this fragrance on a bride. The perfect wedding scent.
If the price wasn't so extreme, I'd buy the big bottle straight away. :(

Big sister of Vanilla 28
Hello everyone,
I'm late, but I wanted to test this fragrance extensively. It's humid and wet right now at around 13-15 degrees. I think the climate and weather play a role in how you perceive and feel fragrances.
Like all Kayali fragrances, this limited edition is hard to find and when it is, the tester is empty. By chance, I discovered the sale at Sephora and bought it blind for 45€. Bargain as the bottle is otherwise offered for 95€ per 50ml.
First impression: The first impression was not very impressive. The first spray was a leather-oud-patchouli bomb and I wasn't the only one almost in tears. I had an appointment to study with a friend in the Mayerschen and she had to leave quickly. The scent didn't change at all that day and only got sweeter over time, until in the end all that remained was a sugary mass on the skin. Disappointing at first.
I knew from experience that many fragrances "mature", macerate. This was also the case with "Vanilla | 28 | Kayali", where even the juice darkened.
I left the bottle for 2 weeks and sprayed it on again. The immediate impression was much smoother. Softer and boozier. I could immediately perceive the rum, paired with a caramel sweetness and floral facets. Creamy jasmine, not indolic, rounded off the opening.
The heart note comes along seamlessly with soft vanilla, which is contrasted by leather accords. This prevented the vanilla from becoming too sticky. I detect creme brulee delicately in the background. I hardly notice anything of the rose.
The best part is really the dry down and you can also recognize the "Vanilla | 28 | Kayali" DNA here. Sweet - boozy vanilla with a hint of patchouli. The oud is so finely interwoven that it doesn't come across as pungent. The brown sugar seems to be a compliment catcher, because this sweetness seems to have something seductive about it.
In conclusion : This fragrance is smooth and as Mona Kattan advertised perfect for layering. I find that it has no harsh edges and could easily be a signature scent for some.
Lasts over 12 hours on clothes. On the skin about 6-7hrs.
Projection only in the first hour max. afterwards rather intimate scent bubble. Sillage very good at the beginning, after max 2 hours it fades continuously.
The fragrance is definitely unisex. My favorite combo so far is "Oud Wood (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford" for more masculine oomph and "Not a Perfume (Eau de Parfum) | Juliette Has A Gun" for more neutral reinforcement.
I also layered "Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli | 64 | Kayali" with "Hypnotic Poison (Eau de Toilette) | Dior". That almost knocked me and my surroundings and even myself out. But in essence, it played well together.
Blind buy approved? Yes. But you really have to let it mature. Big sister of Vanilla 28? Yes, you can safely say that.
If in doubt, try to get a bottling.

Fruity leather basket
Hello everyone,
My colleagues and I have started another tour to Breuninger in Düsseldorf to get to know new olfactory things. This fragrance is not new per se, but we haven't consciously tested it yet.
Sprayed on the spot, I was met with juicy stone fruits. Peach absolutely, plum more in the background. It was an edible impression for me. Positively surprised. I asked for a sample and tested it for days.
The attack is juicy, but short. After a few minutes, I was met by the leather accord and the (hated) patchouli. Woody, leathery and old - just as you would imagine a library to be. The floral elements didn't show themselves to me even after days. Peonies? Violets? Hidden way at the back of the library.
After 5 sprays, the projection is sufficient to paralyze untrained noses. Sillage clearly perceptible throughout the stairwell. My neighbor thought it "smelled funny". So definitely for acquired noses.
Lasts very well. On clothes for over 12 hours.
Is the fragrance good? Joa, it is what it promises. It really does evoke the image of a slightly dusty old library with books bound in leather. But do you want to smell like that? Not me. Unfortunately, I don't know what occasion either.
Who would wear it? I imagine an older and bearded academic. Albus Dumbledore, for example.
Anyone looking for something that challenges their sense of smell a little should give this fragrance a try.

Vanilla dessert cream with candied lemon peel
As many have said here, this scent is gourmand and summery delicious. In my original statement I said that he smells to me too "edible". Since I tested him 2 days and found the good, but nix for me...
Sigh, I bought myself a 50ml Xmas edition. Why?
I sprayed my wrist again on Monday and my jacket sleeve still smells today. And quite perceptible and delicious. Every time I strolled through the hallway, a delicate floral vanilla scent came to me. At work and on the train people have approached me (happens really rarely) and wanted to know what it is. Somehow you want to please others already olfactory, right?
Now to the fragrance : The prelude is definitely citronate vanilla cream. Very tasty and you get desire to go to the pastry shop. The lemon is not scratchy, shrill and sour, but sweet and candied. And this chord is meant to last through to the base. After half an hour comes what to me is an eerily beautiful orange blossom. Not old and heavy, but light and almost solar. The creaminess increases more and more with each hour. A great, edible vanilla. Caressing, soft, seductive. Very high quality and expensive.
Who is not convinced by the fragrance in the prelude, will be overwhelmed at the latest in the base. Provided that one is vanilla fan!
some here found the performance rather low, with me it is actually different. Is it because of the weather (rainy, 12-15C)? On my skin? No idea. But you can smell at 2m distance (4 spritzes on clothes) this fragrance. Sillage very good.
Durability as mentioned at the beginning amazingly good.
The fragrance is definitely feminine leaning, but I look for a long time no longer on what others might think and wear the pretty confident with good feedback so far.
Definitely buy this one still as a gift for friends (if on offer ).
