Unique and luxurious green citrus velvet
I own 300 fragrances, and I love the citrus green petitgrain genre. JV artisan pure, Dunhill signature amalfi citrus, Xerjoff Nio. Love them all, with distinctions based on the ascending quality level.

With that said, I have never smelled this scent profile before. Roja Elysium eau intense? A little. Gucci guilty cologne? A touch. Guerlain Frenchy lavande? A hint.

But overall, this is somehow a clay textured green creamy citrus musky aromatic with no cream. It literally smells like 1000 dollars. I don't know a better way to put it.

If you love juicy green garden fresh citrus freshes that smell like nothing else, and also smell like a million dollars - get a sample. Period.

Dry, spicy, compact Guerlain Vetiver
First, this is Guerlain Vetiver. It's instantly recognizable as such.

But, it's different. Where the original is bright, grassy, sunny, crisp, showered and sharp, this is all that - but denser. Drier. Spicier, as in nutmeg spicier.

If you know what Guerlain Vetiver smells like, then you know what this smells like - for the most part. Is it redundant? Yes, if you own the original - it is. But, if you love the original like I do and you like collecting, then you will want this one as well.

Here is the difference: Where Vetiver is open and spacious, complex and multiple shades of bright green/orange colored citrus and spice expanding across the palate, Extreme is denser and narrower. It almost smells simplified and spiced, while maintaining the DNA. It's not better or worse, but it's denser and in some ways, more subtle.

Conclusion: If you like the original but want a version with a slightly more modern dry spice accord, slightly less traditional yellow/brown lemon aspect, and a touch more modern base depth, this is for you.

It's still not a modern fragrance, but it's a touch more modern.

Unique in Familiar way
This will likely end up being recognized as one of the premier tobacco spicy honey fragrances ever created.

I have several of them, and I'm a fan of the profile. Naxos, TV, others. They're great.

This is better. This is the best honey note that exists, the tobacco is sharp and real, and yes you do pick up the roasted warm sesame and lightly funky oud, which are delicate and quite magical. People say there isnt any oud, but there is. It smells real and a touch funky, which acts as the foil for the sweet honey nutty sharp tobacco. Genius.

Note: after several wearing, this has an almost salted butter effect in the base, without being gourmand. The sesame had a blonde roast aspect and the oud plays off of that to bring this almost savory, salty nutty butter feel to counter the sweet dripping honeycomb. Yes, it's a tobacco honey, but it wears like no other tobacco honey I've worn before. The effect is sweet, but also a bit toasty and savory. The anise and clove provide a touch of darker almost medicinal spice.

This is a tobacco honey masterpiece. Yes, I'm a guerlain fan and yes I have most of the l'art and matiere collection. This is a standout, possibly even the last word in tobacco honey frags. My humble opinion of course.

People will give this fragrance a 3 rating because it's Guerlain and it isn't a 90 year old classic and because it is expensive. Irrelevant. It's incredible.

Get a sample and wear it. Then judge.

The performance and projection are massive.

This is up there with tonka imperiale, oellet poupre, angelique noire, and neroli outrenoir as my favorite Guerlains.

Fresh sweet soapy green cardamom
This is the best cardamom note I've ever smelled.

You know how some fragrances have a "face" or a personality? This one has an unforgettable feel to it, sweet and almost gourmand, but somehow also slightly clean crisp and nearly soapy.

The performance is incredible, and that sparkly clean cardamom note lasts for the length of the fragrance's life on the skin. I get close to 11 hours minimum.

This is a creamy, green fresh cardamom, lightly warm and cool at the same time, and clean. It's a masterpiece.

Underrated masterpiece
Here are the comments, in a nutshell:

1) Blue fragrance: No.
2) Generic spicy men's fragrance: No.
3) Smells cheap: No.
4) Boring: No.

There is a reason Wasser renovated and kept this fragrance over others. Period.

This is a rich but understated sandalwood, spice and textured sawdust scent, with some classy freshness. I bought a 200 ml of this and have loved every spray.

This works in shorts and a polo, as well as it works in a tux. It's a tremendous accomplishment.

Ignore the hate, and give this thing a wearing. A full wearing. More than once.

I own the entire Lart and matiere collection, and I love many. This is a favorite reach.
