Dreamland

This tuberose is beautiful. I was afraid it would suffocate me because sometimes tuberose has such an effect on me, but this is so beautifully composed, all the notes are perfectly blended and the tuberose here is soft, feminine and creamy. Nowhere near as intrusive as in Beyond love or retro suffocating as in Fracas (although for me - respect - they are really wonderful scents, only I can't wear them).

I've worn this lovely tuberose a few times, and it connects me to some cozy and lovely spring afternoons, with lovely people, a casual day when you don't have to worry about anything. And it's totally office friendly.

But as much as this was a wonderful scent, there was one thing that disappointed me a bit and that was the longevity. How is it possible that such a high quality perfume is a skinscent after a max of 2 hours - and after 3-4 hours, it is no longer there?
Either way - Love Tuberose is beautiful, one of the most beautiful tuberoses I have ever tried :)

For some time now, I have wanted to write a commentary on this fragrance, as it is one of the most special perfumes in my life.
You see, I first encountered it on my 10th birthday when a friend gave me a sample...wow, what a treat that was! The perfume is permanently burned into my memory. It smelled so beautiful, elegant, clean, floral, sweet. For a long time, this was a perfume I measured all other perfumes in my life against, and there really were a lot of them :)
It was only later, when I got to know the notes of the perfume and the way it develops, that I consciously recognized the notes of this perfume - coconut, gardenia, ylang-ylang, tuberose, orchid, vanilla, musk .... so many notes but it is so beautifully composed. Until today, exactly these notes have remained my favorites in perfumes ... incredible!
Since it has been discontinued for a long time, I searched for it for a long time in perfumeries, E Bay, various online stores and fragrance sites.... I even found and bought a few pieces, but unfortunately it's not what it was...some perfumes don't tolerate standing too long, unfortunately. Right now I have it on my wrist and it lacks that freshness when I open it, although the drydown is still nice.
But it still remains perfect in my memory...

This fragrance is named after the city of Ubar in southern Oman, which was inhabited between 2,700 and 300 BC. Ubar was a beautiful, rich trading city that sank into the sand and disappeared into the desert...
Ubar is one of the most magical scents I have ever tasted. Magical, timeless, enchanting. Dense, strong, with excellent projection, at once theatrical and mystical.... It starts with a little citrus, orange, mandarin, then comes ylang ylang, white flowers with accented jasmine and develops patchouli and vanilla in the base notes. Very strong and very durable on the skin, +12 hours, and on clothes it lasts for days. Flacon looks precious and noble.
Maybe a little too intense for summer and heat, perfect for other seasons like autumn and winter. Very chic, elegant and very feminine!

My first Monegal and it's a hit! I really love amber in fragrances and this is one of the nicest amber scents. Amber in the opening, then sandalwood, powdery notes and jasmine. Very nicely composed and develops nicely in a few hours. Definitely a scent for fall or winter, great in lower temperatures. It's really a bit reminiscent of Chanel 5, that is, it has that DNA, but without the aldehydes, which can sometimes be too sharp. This fragrance has no sharpness, but is sweet, soft, powdery ...
