When I recently went on a search for a new fragrance or bottle, a trip to Dresden, I was surprised.

During my visit to Dresden in the Altmarktgalerie I found Parfumerie Thiemann. On the shelves, as usual many designers and individual niche brands.

Behind the counter and therefore only with a saleswoman to test CC, MFK, Creed etc.
Most of the time I would like to avoid getting advice from a saleswoman, because it takes away my calmness while trying and I already had some fragrances under my nose.

The sentence: I've heard it before, so I don't have to say it so much. "
But at Thiemann's, the woman behind the counter answered me after I explained the situation.

She went into a wooden cupboard, took out a big glass of red wine and enthusiastically sprayed the scent of CC into it.

For all those who do not know this yet, try it out !!!

Since then I have bought red wine, white wine and brandy glasses although I do not drink any alcohol. So I sit down on the couch more often in the evening and have a glass ;-)

Now for this fragrance:

I was very enthusiastic about the scent, which was probably also due to the presentation.

Starts fresh-fruity

I love mint in perfume because it suggests absolute freshness to my brain. Often this note only lasts for a short time or is tried to last with synthetics after a short time. Example "Wild Mint"
With the basil in the head, the mint has a very harmonious effect. A grassy-herbal play, as if the top note could also be used in various soft drinks
Like a fresh summer lemonade.

Here the ingredients seem to me to be of very high quality and after mint loses its power, this fresh fruitiness remains without this synthetic booster.

The mainly used spices do not create a heavy or oriental bouquet but as the bottle already shows a green - floral with wood sounds

Durability is moderate and the quality does not decrease over the whole period.


For everyday life, it is not an evergreen, in my eyes, due to its limited availability.
Also the price I am a little more reserved when applying, although I would like to thank our member FORTRESS here for the bottle 1255 of 1500 and the "cheaper price", at which I have in the shop still refrained from buying.

As is well known, quality has its price. I am not at all disappointed to have paid this price, as I can enjoy the product.

I tested this and fragrance and brand for the first time, although there has been a lot of perfume in this house since the 1950s.

In a small perfumery, where mainly The usual designers stand around, the saleswoman showed me the new collection of Carven.

For this time of year I had already decided on a different fragrance from the series and took it with me.
She gave me a bottle of La Havane. I tested it in the car and immediately decided to exchange it.

Why ?

On the test strip, the quality of La havane does not develop to perfection for my taste.

On the skin it is an olfactory experience and the transformation of the fragrance makes me appreciate it more and more.

The prelude belongs to the tobacco. Strong, makes me associate with high quality cigars. In addition, fruity sweet tangerine floats by the gravitation of the tobacco.

This is followed by a gentle introduction of the leather, which goes well from the woody Elimi in combination with the tobacco.

When the leather jacket on Tom Ford's OmbréLeather sits skintight, it's more like The Leather Sofa in the Oval Office lobby.

I know that luxury car brands upgrade their interiors with artificial scent.
I think directly of the fact that my butler holds the door of the new Rolls Royce open for me to chauffeur me to the horse race.

After about 20 - 30 min. of driving without standing in a traffic jam, probably noticing that the journey takes a good 5-7 hours, I notice the deep durability of the Amber.
It is comfortably cosy in the rear of the luxury limousine with la Havane.


The silage is not too strong, but also allows sewing. Still reaches beyond the minimum distance to attract attention.

To the bottle:

The lid is magnetically seated and finds its own fit.
Octagonal and striking, it lies well in the hand. The chrome spray head is easy to use.
The mixture resembles with its deep brown colour to 2-3 years old thick liquid rum.

For me with 165€ for 125ml definitely worth its price.
I wore it already in spring, with still cool temperatures in the morning.

a good companion, because I feel comfortable with this scent.

Now Next to me has moved in next to my other fragrances

I have tested here extensively with a small accident.

When filling a share, I have through circumstances that I do not necessarily want to explain, about 5 ml about thigh and wrist tilted.

I don't know what to say, it's a bummer up to the knees.

But
the scent is really unobtrusive even in large quantities
It's all very gently interwoven.

Complexity through the head-heart-base chords
Scent course is varied. Starts with a fruity opening.
I think I can really perceive the melon with a hint of coconut

After approx. 1h the silage turns into a very delicate cloud. Like after a sandstorm the oud base remains pleasantly directional

Everything becomes a noble rose cream powder of cashmeran and tonka

I think even at 40 degrees in the desert state the scent can be worn without becoming heavy

The whole thing will certainly work even with a few splashes

After several trials and extensive testing I can now be excited and the wearability is definitely given for me.
It is a wonderful and versatile floral fragrance.
With the first one I sprayed two sprayers directly on the back of the hand.
The strength seemed too strict and intrusive to me.
I can't tell the difference between amber and ambroxan, but I think that the more it is applied to a stain, the more my nose feels this mixture too strongly.

After several days of testing, I now spray more or less into the room and let my body dive into the fog.

Ambre Royal lies down on my skin like a padded jacket.
The tart notes thus carry the floral and fruity notes with a solid base.

I find it just right for spring, where I can walk through the parks and streets and where a shrub or straight flowering tree marks its location again and again.

With this scent on my body I am optimally integrated into the environment.

If bees were looking for the flowers, women would probably look for men with Ambre Royal on their skin... or the other way round...

So far the brand is still quite unknown to me, because most of the fragrances from Carner are only available on the website or in selected perfumeries.
So is Marbella.

I related to this one by a vacation as a child in Marbella.
Can remember bullfights, sea, sunshine and whitewashed houses.
This fragrance is for me a wonderful association with my light memories.

It is sweet, fresh, fruity, floral and THAT all on a subtly clean musk base.

I recognize the green tea with juicy peach.
Like one of those tea spritzer refreshment drinks, only with more fill and less sugar.

The floral notes, especially the well-dosed jasmine, work very well balanced together with the fruit.
I think of that I could apply 10 sprayers and it would never be perceived as disturbing or too much.

Certainly fits more to the warmer seasons.
Although, in the winter in Marbella with Marbella, I could well imagine

The bottle, in this shimmering blue, definitely stands out on the perfume shelf.
I will give it a steady place in my collection, as I have not found a comparable one so far.

Definitely unisex, because the flowers are very well integrated.
