Some don't talk much, they just are. Here the name says it all. The opening is aromatic, underpinned with mild citrus. Short intro, then "no nonsense". Linear aromatic-floral on hard wood. It comes across as serious, classic, confident. I am alpha, my place is on the cushion.
EIn prima fragrance for occasions when it matters. Salary negotiation, employee interview, hello, dear future mother-in-law, child, what have you done now. Let me introduce you to my best employee, Do you tango? Do you want me.... you get the idea.
WIr are all here more or less crazy hunters and collectors. This one is not a club fragrance. But he fits exactly for THE Momement, if he is there. And, he costs almost nothing. No "must have", but "should have".

An explorer goes out to discover something new - or to rediscover something forgotten. The perfumer, who calls his creative work "Explorer", perhaps just wanted to try something fun.

The Boadicea Explorer has here in the forum a richly controversial discussion behind it, which went from my current view of the Parfumo antiquity to the high Middle Ages. The average score is just 6.5, and the entire rating spectrum has been assigned, from catastrophic to phenomenal. So at least half of the stock should have long since been used up in the sanitary area. As a 3-year perfume veteran - so someone from the middle ParfumoNew era - I now analyze more again this fragrance work. In doing so, I try once to transfer the now somewhat archaic old texts from the context of the time into modern perfume German, and to include the assessments of the ancestors in my analysis. References to living persons are intentional, plagiarism as well! DonTheBoss was reminded of "waxing" while exploring (note to modern perfumos: rubbing a floor with a protective layer of wax - grandma used to do it). Patchouli or not, DeGirlof53 found it cedary, but was put in the cleaning corner by all others (note: at that time emancipation still had to be fought for, so I suspect that the mentioned prejudice(s) came from male "others"). In the early modern era, someone again associated with this fragrance a tractor (transmission) differential oil, and stated perfect wearability for gold chain signores (note: correctly "counter-gendered" so gold chain signores/*inas) from 85. It remains unclear at this point, whether the enthusiastic author himself is to be classified in this cateory.
From all these culture-historical impressions with the today's perspective however a picture results that - completely up-to-date - somewhat head note-heavier turns out. Why? Of course, because of the almost-mega-fruit in it. Just as naturally, one can assume that the work was reformulated. However, I was able to reconstruct experimentally how the reformulation was done in all likelihood. Frosch wood cleaner (with natural active ingredients of pine) provides the green-tart undertone (note: from today's perspective, rather mild than bitter). A portion of SOFIX Parquet adds the somewhat soapy wax note. Plenty of grated orange peel added, and applied to an oak plank floor. Sunflower, in my opinion, is an over-motivated mistranslation for a few floral sprinkles. Once absorbed, you extract an "absolute" from it. That smells then, like a cedar log rubbed with orange peel butter.

The verdict: The fragrance today clearly belongs in the "phenomenal" category. No twin is known, not even in the beginning. The minimum age of wearability starts because of the fruit note in the modern era again significantly lower, but because of the light soapiness and low pronounced sweetness then perhaps at 45 ± 16.3.

So Moos Alta, that richt yes so not at all after fruity vanilla berry. that can only wear if, you are at least 80+. And this one is not only not sweet but also so kloooobürstig citrus in the crop note. If grandpa thinks he must again a letzen meal inne disco. SO altbakken like the garden of the, Dom's monastery in Kölln.

For all restparfumos of 80+: my last vanilla pudding is 30 years ago. Milk beard is called "Bumfluff" in English. Who has already seen something, can wear completely relaxed something beautiful, green to enjoy, something classically herbal - but please, smooooth. Nothing for green boys on courtship, but something elegant, with some retro-modern charm - no sugar please. The Duc Extreme is just the ticket. A fougere without coumarin - at least I don't notice any. For those who find the coumarin in the many world-famous Fougeres - a repellent contained in tonka bean, for example - to be a nuisance towards the end of the classic with this plant-sugar, vanilla sweetness - as in the Fougere Royale from the same house, for example - they should take this YouTube-hated (LT) in front of their chest. Served up is a truly perfected moss after a citrusy green opening with the usual fougere-like heart combo. Simply wonderful! To me, moss often seems soapy, which alone I would accept. But sweet-soapy - ew. Not this one. This one: a rather soapy, delightfully unsweet, but totally confident fougere with style. Wearable by all of 15+ with heart and the lightning in their eyes. Truly, buena vista!

I've been itching to write a commentary on this little masterpiece for a couple of years now. Well, the previous speaker was faster. Great description, I couldn't think of anything else to add for a long time. But the Aigner One Intense really deserves more attention, so let's get to the keyboard!

I bought it at the time without knowing the Notenbaum. Fortunately! This combination of scents is something you have to get used to. I smell out a cinnamony citrus to start with some aftershave note, which is quite quickly joined by an earthy resinous base. Then it's joined by a subtle but clearly discernible classic animalic in the background. The cinnamon pervades without being penetrating. The progression of the change of the rest of the notes is very fluid. The note tree says to my sensibilities: citrus notes, cinnamon, labdanum, patchouli, castoreum. That can't possibly go together, you would think, but it does. This incredible combination spontaneously reminds me of a curiosity I encountered when I worked at a university in England for a few years. The students there at that time had such a final exam courage cocktail, said "Gorilla Snot" - in German: Gorillarotz. You take dry sherry and add the same amount of Baileys Irish Cream. In the sherry, the cream of the Baileys coagulates and flocculates. Then add a good dash of Creme Du Menthe. The result is a greenish cloudy broth with green-opaque lumps in it. Cheers!

The Number One Intense is not at all snotty, of course, but it does have a hint of gorilla. A gorilla with manners, not loud, but a gorilla. Present! Whoever created this fragrance is entitled to call themselves "master" in my opinion. Unfortunately, there is no name in the perfume database. The composition is already unique and amazingly harmonious. The contrast of the single notes has been put together quite ingeniously. Surprisingly, it also works in mild, summery temperatures. Not an all-rounder, but definitely an enrichment in my collection. Clear tasting recommendation from me for all who are looking for something different.

The Polo Explorer was one of my first fragrances. In my now too large collection, however, he takes a permanent place, because he smells very unique. With the name and the EIgenständigkeit he reminds me of past times, of old stories, either read, or get told. The best are the ones that are well embellished, perhaps told with a little light but creative exaggeration, and stimulate your own imagination. Water music ;-). Eyes closed, and you follow in Livingstone's footsteps across the savannah in search of the fabled source of the Nile. One wanders through the tall, parched grass, somewhere something fruity-spicy blossoms. A mild, fresh, morning breeze blows in from the lake. A few tree stumps, there's a faint scent of exotic wood. A quick sip from the tin water bottle hanging from the old leather belt before moving on. The water is still cool, but not for long, because the day will be hot again...

If you ever make it to Oxford to the Museum of Natural History, you can discover the Pitt Rivers Museum of Ethnography and Archaeology at the end of the impressive dinosaur skeleton collection, sort of behind the giant mouth of the Tyrannosaurus Rex. There you could, some time ago at least, almost alone rummage around, open the heavy drawers of the long rows of wooden showcases, and between the seemingly randomly picked up finds of numerous, past explorers sometimes surprisingly find a few shrunken heads - not as well preserved, of course, as the exhibits in the glass case a little further.

Alright, back to the practical information. The concoction from Rommel's old field bottle opens with a tangerine-coreander seed blend that reminds me a bit of a clone of the Gucci Envy I have in my sample collection. The Explorer quickly veers into the fresh, though, I can't even tell where that comes from. Sandalwood freshness, perhaps? Four-five sprays on the inside of the undershirt, plus the same amount on the chest, and the longevity problem is solved. Easily enough for an all-day explorer's gently perceptible, own fragrance bubble of tropical wood and leather with a fresh undertone. No firecracker, but a persistent quiet tread, Like a single explorer on the long way to the undiscovered country, which irritates no wild animals, and whose track is difficult to find. Too bad, the fragrance is unfortunately only rarely on Ebay.
