Upscale White Party
You've moved to a new city for that well-paying job and are invited to a white party by colleagues. It's late summer, the evenings are still warm, but you're not crushed by the heat. What to wear? A white short dress is too informal, so it becomes white Marlene pants, a white shirt, and a matching blazer if necessary. All rather unisex and classy, because tonight is not the night to seduce anyone. The party takes place late at night in a courtyard in a large location, you are welcomed by a sea of warm lights and candles. There are a lot of well-heeled people dressed in white with champagne glasses in their hands at bar tables. More like generation 30+. Fine appetizers are served with green, unripe figs. Daring combination, but something different, I think to myself. It gets a little cooler, the wooden benches absorb the humidity and you notice a sweet smell. Cocktails are being mixed at the bar, a favorite seems to be Pina Colada. I watch the action and chat with several attractive people, sweat glistening on their faces. The conversations remain very superficial and distant, it takes me out of my comfort zone, I like it for now but on other days I wish for more warmth.
............................................
Santal blanc smells green-natural and synthetic-milky at the same time to me, never smelled it like that before. It doesn't really fit into my collection, but somehow I just like it and I had to keep smelling it!
In my opinion, it has a luxurious distance and still has a leeeeicht Animalik in the drydown and on clothes I perceive quite clearly coconut!

Compliment Catcher
Got a lot of compliments on a festival weekend for this fragrance and still like him very much. Very clear Zadig et Voltaire DNA, smells for a sweet designer fragrance times a little 'different', has very good sillage and durability. Flacon looks cool and I like to wear this fragrance when I wear a leather jacket (or outfits that just correspond to the brand Zadig et Voltaire, casual edgy). The strong synthetic note can not be denied, however, which is why he also does not correspond to my current taste one hundred percent and I would not repurchase him

Hmmm... What smells like pie?
Vanitas was my first niche fragrance and therefore has a high sentimental value for me. Sillage and durability are top and the fragrance has simply addictive. If you do not want to stand out, you should not necessarily wear Vanitas, because people have various associations and the fragrance can be room-filling. Comparisons like 'cake', 'vanilla' (obviously) and even 'tobacco' once come up. I've been called a 'vanilla woman' when going out. For a while, the extreme sillage of the scent almost bothered me, which is why I didn't buy Vanitas again at first. But after eternal back-and-forth trying we have approached each other again.
Vanitas fits perfectly for me in the cold season, wraps me with its warmth, serves me sweet cookies, plus warm tea and puts a blanket around my shoulders. It gives me a feeling of security (unlike most people höhö). The name might only fit at second glance. The transience resonates subliminally in the form of myrrh, which was used for embalming. The nothingness and lightness of being is brought about by the light vanilla. It is a linear fragrance, I perceive all the notes at the same time, but does not bother me.
Vanitas smells like expensive vanilla, the sweetness on point. In case you're interested: Got a lot of compliments from men!

Heartfelt love and then Heartbreak
I knew the fragrance before I had read further about perfumes. At the time, I bought Vanitas by Profumum Roma and the salesman gave me a test strip of the 'new' Baccarat Rouge at the time. When Vanitas was used up, I went back to the perfumery regularly and was magically drawn to Baccarat (I knew nothing of the hype).
I love gourmands and yes, I have to admit, I like "basic bitch perfumes" in the niche or very pleasing, sweet scents, even if that doesn't necessarily suit my personality. Baccarat, in my opinion, is a very upscale, pleasing fragrance and has something special about the saffron note. At the same time, it has something watery and fresh and doesn't drift into 'cakey'. I would classify it very much in the feminine direction, which is why I bought it, as I prefer more 'sexy' scents. When I wear it, I feel like a classy, rich and confident woman in control of her life (which isn't necessarily true!). I had tried a few dupes and Cloud by Ariana Grande smelled very pungent to me in comparison and had no resemblance at all for me...
Here's the kicker though:
I was at a party, wearing the expensive Baccarat Rouge, an acquaintance greeted me and said euphorically "AAAAAAH are you wearing the Ariana Grande perfume?!!! That's what my girlfriend wears all the time too!!!".... It's been a long time since I've had that feeling.... My heart was broken and Ariana Grande was dancing in tasteless bubblegum pink Yank outfits in front of my inner eye, holding a 30€ perfume, acting as a metaphorical middle finger to my consumerism.
Summa summarum: I love Baccarat Rouge still, but other mothers also have beautiful sons or other niche brands beautiful gourmands who are less hyped.
