Cologne joy
Uwe Manasse, one of the heads of the fragrance company in Cologne and creator of the Cologne Delight, likes to describe perfume as invisible jewellery. This description is correct, because here he has created a real piece of jewelry
Rare enough, but Cologne Delight begins directly with a "WOW effect". The fragrance doesn't start with the usual quick-flying top note, but gives away all the scents from the first spray. And they have it in them. Red blossoms bedded on delicate, woody notes surrounded by a subtle amber-tonka sweetness that never gets pushy or too much. A powdery creaminess (or is it a creamy powder?) refines the composition, which definitely has a slight oriental touch and also has a certain depth, but doesn't get too complex. What I personally find particularly pleasing and surprising is that the tuberose is very restrained here and is therefore one of the very few that I find (bearable). All notes of the pyramid are actually perceptible without dominating.
The Sillage is not space filling, rather a little more than body filling. The durability is in a good range, after 5 hours I can still perceive Cologne Delight well.
I would classify the fragrance as a unisex all-rounder that should suit every occasion.
With Cologne Delight, or translated Kölner Freude, Uwe Manasse has not only created a piece of jewellery, but a work of art. And at a price that is very affordable.

Battle of the Giants
Ladies and gentlemen. ...today is the greatest fight in history. We welcome you all to this spectacle and we hope you enjoy it. You can expect a relentless title fight between two opponents at eye level over the full number of rounds
The fight will be broadcast worldwide as the number of spectators in the hall has been set to almost zero due to the current situation.

In the right corner: Rose
In the left corner: Tuberose

Ring free for the first (and last) round. The fighters have voluntarily and unanimously renounced the breaks between the rounds.
Rose and Tuberose circle around each other and strike first strokes to scan the opponent. Unfortunately, the coaches Muscat and Bergamot are unable to attend today and miss the match, but the main players are not bothered by this. They have prepared long enough for this final.
Rose lands first impact hits, which are directly countered by tuberose.
With some delay, the referee Patchouli appears, dressed in a resinous track suit jacket.
He doesn't have much to do, both fighters deliver a fair exchange of blows without aiming below the belt.
After two hours the camp is still raging at eye level. Neither Rose nor Tuberose show signs of fatigue - in contrast to the referee who threw his training jacket into the corner and now does his job in a chocolate T-shirt.
So this battle rages on for a long time until the only spectators of the evening arrive: Mr. Tonka and his wife Vanilla, who sponsored the fight. Both give a timid applause, because this fight is not as exciting as expected.
After about 5 hours, the fight is stopped by the referee Patchouli and is considered a draw.
Rose and Tuberose leave the ring in the direction of the changing room, while the referee with Mr. Tonka and Mrs. Vanille will stay in the hall for follow-up and interviews

Sketch is a well-made scent. No question about it. But you've gotta like rose and tuberose. If, like me, you don't like either one very much, sketch should be avoided. For all those who like both a clear recommendation

Is that art, or can that go...
or is that another twin or already art?
Hybrids of two or even three different fragrances are currently celebrating a real hype at DUA, which even makes one look old with its batch discussions.
That made me curious and so I bought the Supernova in the Casino. Why just that one? Well, I mean that this scent with the unwieldy name is an excellent test object. I like Supernova very much, the BR540 I find rather boring and dull, and the sticky sweetness, which is too much even for me, bothers me

So what happens when a quasi new scent emerges from these two? Does one of them get better, both get worse, and is it then even a "twin"? Which scent do I actually wear or is the whole thing even wearable?
These were the questions I asked myself at the beginning and I am trying to answer here and now.

The launch begins in typical Supernova style, although Supernova does not meet the description. According to Wikipedia: "A supernova is the brief, bright illumination of a massive star at the end of its lifetime by an explosion that destroys the original star itself. "
The start is an explosion, but definitely not the end - or if the top note of a perfume is generally the beginning of its end ;-)
But no matter, in any case a fresh fruity top note explodes here at the beginning, from which I can hardly separate individual notes. Most likely lime and berries. This prelude is loud and deceives about the actual sillage.
After some time it becomes more floral and the first sweetness from the BR540 joins it, but the freshness remains.
From heart to base, the fragrance remains sweet and fresh, with the supernova freshness of the BR540 sweetness taking much of its stickiness and actually making it wearable and pleasant. Even if not much more happens in the next few hours, this sweet freshness or fresh sweetness is quite exciting and lively, as a permanent slight fruitiness resonates in the background and flashes up from time to time.
The base is then joined by a delicate woody note, while the sweetness slowly recedes.

Durability and silage are very good, typical for DUA. In the morning after showering 2 sprayers easily last until the evening. The Sillage is not room filling, but it can be felt well at arm's length without being slain.

To the initial questions: one twin is not Supernova in the Casiono, but rather a completely new fragrance has been created here, which may have been inspired by two other fragrances, but has a high degree of independence.
And for all who care: Yes, I have even been asked about this scent ;-)

Conclusion:
Here, DUA has created an exciting, wearable fragrance and, with hybrids or tribrids, has set a course that could well create a new trend.

The beautiful one is the beast
You said you were different than the others.
Let's try it and I'll show you it's true.
I have so much to offer you, and with me you'll never be bored, you said.
So I trusted you and you got to move in with me
But no sooner were you there than you showed your true face.
Okay, you really have a lot to offer. Your spice and the delicate smoke, your everyday oudnote. And not to forget your rose, which is not, as so often, heavily synthetic, but more natural and very beautiful
You are very well perceptible and stand out, you stay long.
But once you are there for a while, you show your airs and graces. Your rose is like a spoiled child who is wise about its beauty, always wants to be the center of attention and fights jealously against everything else. For a while she plays well-behaved with the oud, but then she puts herself in the foreground again and wants to be the princess that all others have to pay homage to.
You feel busted? You change and try a different way. You become woody, a little resinous, but light and gentle. Until you then wrap yourself in leather and pin the rose to your corsage. But your old leather dress unfortunately doesn't even make the beaver horny anymore ;-)
So I will let you go, you will find someone else who appreciates you as you are. Don't worry. Unfortunately for me you are just another rose oud. Though in a different garment, but just like many others.
I wish you good luck, it was nice to meet you, but we just don't fit together.

Back at the Yukon...
...also became part of the "American" Dream. During the economic crisis around 1896, many sought their fortune and gold in the Klondike region. Quite a few were successful. If anyone is interested: Since then, until today, about 560 tons of gold have been mined there.
But what does gold have to do with the Gravel?
The start has something golden in it for me. A beautiful tangy-fresh, cool, mineral citric, underpinned with a soft fruity orange note, which does not bring any sweetness and lasts surprisingly long. Almost as if you were standing in the cold water of the Klondike River early in the morning mining for gold. When the sun comes out later, jasmine makes its way into the fragrance, which gives a little warmth and makes the fragrance softer. Lavender is added a little later, but is more in the background without dominating but contributes its balanced spice to the fragrance.
Towards the base American Dream becomes darker with patchouli, a little vetiever and a hint of moss. This is how the shore must smell when it warms up in the sun.
The simple bottle with the river pebbles fits perfectly to this scenery.
Durability and Sillage are, as usual with Gravel, good.
I like American Dream best out of the line. Altogether a very harmonious, round, balanced fragrance, which fits to every occasion and never seems intrusive.
