Golden, shimmering floral
Just. Wow. This is a knockout. Beautiful white flowers, and then more white flowers, full-on indolic, with honeyed amber running through them like blood running through your veins, pumping the flowers up until they burst with golden nectar exploding into the air like confetti. This is a magical perfume! I get mostly tuberose, gardenia, amber and a very animalic honey. Great longevity and sillage. It's incredibly well done and really stands out. Not for shy ones!

Oriental minimalism
Alambar made me re-think my relationship with oriental perfumes, which I hated until now. This is an easygoing, breathable oriental that will not try to kick you in the shins and steal your lunch. It's a beautiful kinda soapy amber spiced up by a gentle cinnamon and faint traces of cocoa (mostly) and vanilla (to a lesser extent). It's contemplative, almost meditational. No smokiness, thank goodness. I find it to be perfectly unisex and suitable for most occasions (ok, don't wear it during a heatwave). A winner in my book!

Spring in paradise
Imagine standing underneath a waterfall where instead of water you were showered with white tropical flowers, yellow tropical flowers and rays of sunshine...The smell of green leaves and almost ripe fruit in the distance mingles with the flowery waterfall to re-create the way that paradise must surely smell like. I have no words for this most beautiful of perfumes other than to say that it's perfection and happiness in a bottle. If I absolutely must identify notes, I would go with frangipani, linden blossom and lime. Who cares about longevity and sillage (acceptable but not monstrous) when you can smell like the garden of Eden?

The quintessential rose
If you are looking for a natural, nectar-laden rose at the height of its liveliness, look no further.

I'll be honest here: I smell nothing else other than rose. To me, rose is generally boring and pot-pourri like.

But La Douceur de Siam is anything but boring! It's a very fresh, very true honeyed pink rose. Completely natural, you can sense that the quality of the materials is top-notch.

It lasts more than 12 hours on me and I could clearly smell it emanating from my arm even though I was wearing a face mask all day. This is quite impressive for a perfume that is apparently only made of rose and does not rely on (obvious) woods, resins or synthetic notes to give it a boost.

I have great admiration for Pissara and I love wearing La Douceur - a masterpiece in its simplicity.

Pineapple cognac
I love it but it breaks my heart. Such a rich, smooth scent, but it's just weak on me. While it lasts it's superb: Pineapple steeped in fine cognac with raisins, orange and vanilla. Incredibly delicious and mature, even unisex. Never cloying or artificial. I want to purchase a full bottle and spray with abandon like there's no tomorrow...
