Summer Wine
What a beauty...Refreshing, juicy, happy, sensual. I get first and foremost a dewy rose. Not old lady-ish, not jammy, not pot-pourri, just sweet and fresh. The rose is closely followed by a very natural-smelling berry note, very photorealistic, ripe and juicy. These are the stars of the show. They are combined with "metallic notes", which actually smell a lot like high quality ros'e wine.

The overall feeling is joyous, carefree, optimistic. Like drinking wine and eating fruit on a beautiful terrace on a summer evening somewhere in Tuscany. If the concept of "the good life" could be bottled, it would be this perfume.

The revenge of the white floral
This is the perfume that mermaids wear (in my imagination). Mythical creatures of narcotic beauty, but get too close and the dream becomes a nightmare!

It's a feminine white floral with the masterly touch of Mr. Sheldrake, who can do no wrong. But there's a catch: It's poisoned. The white floral (I don't know how datura smells but I smell strong, metallic tuberose here) is injected with bittersweet almond, giving it a mesmerizing but borderline headache-inducing charm.

This is not a sunny, happy, tropical white floral but a mystical, dizzying one instead. Wear it if you want to feel dangerous!

A force to be reckoned with
This perfume is quite a character. It grabs you even though you're trying to get away. I'm the last person on this earth to appreciate big, bold, 80's style fragrances yet here I am. Poison grabbed me. Not a love, but respect. I can certainly appreciate what it has to offer even though I'm reluctant to wear it around people.

So what does it offer? Spicy plum wine with a hint of a mystical incense burning somewhere far away. Fruity, yes. Spicy, double yes. But it's not that simple, there are definitely other notes there to make it extra mysterious.

Now the question is: On what occasion should you wear it? Because you WILL get noticed. In an ideal world, you should wear it while attending masquerade parties in Venice, wearing intricate costume. In real life....maybe Halloween?

Almodovar-ian fruity floral
Lovely but with an attitude. Balmy fruity floral with a certain je ne sais quoi! I think it's the red pepper and the tolu balm that elevate this from the million fruity florals out there and give it a perfect ooomph.

It feels exotic but not Hawaiian white-florals-and-coconut style tropical. The flowers feel orange in colour, the fruit feels Mediterranean and the whole attitude resembles Southern Spain. A beautiful day basking under the sun, visiting the gardens of old castles, sipping fruit cocktails and at night watching a raven-haired woman dance flamenco in a red dress, accompanied by Gypsy guitars. I got a bit carried away, but this is truly a scent that makes your mind wander!

Perfect for day or night, never too heavy (ok don't use it during a heatwave), outstanding longevity and silage. An all-around winner!

The most luxurious boudoir scent
This is going to be a strange review. Because I love the scent, it's just not for me.

I love the scent because it reminds me of buzzing bees making honey, juicy fruit hanging from trees warmed by the sun, with a generous dose of fluffy white musk. I was totally surprised not to see any fruit listed, I could have sworn it contained blueberry! Blueberry-honey-white musk is what I smell.

It feels very "French", very happy, very tender. It actually reminds me a lot of "Love, Don't be Shy" by Kilian, but I must admit that I prefer The Musc, both as a scent as well as performance-wise. It just feels more organic, more natural.

Unfortunately I cannot wear it, for the same reason I cannot wear most modern Guerlains. It is too sweet for me, too much like a (high quality) macaron. But that's just me! This is a solid offering, and extremely good value for money.
