You smell so good
You smell so good
You smell so good
I'm going after you
You smell so good
I think you're so good, so good
I'm following you
You smell so good
I'll have you in a minute

Yes, exactly the song by Rammstein I have to smell every time I wear this fragrance - because it is just insanely good. So really - I would be allowed to keep 3 fragrances, this one would definitely be there. And he is still in addition one of my cheapest fragrances - which I understand with this performance in no way.

I do not even know how I came to the fragrance at all. I am namely an absolute "Flakontrottel" - usually I buy perfumes, if I am either quite sure that I love the fragrance, or if I am once again a packaging victim and find the bottle beautiful. With Rosenrot, it's definitely the former, because ouch! the thorns really sting.

But the scent is all the better for it. The rose comes through extremely when spraying on, but is not unpleasant - not "omilike", too old or already about to wilt, no, just insanely floral, fresh and - surprise! - rosy. Accompanied by the metallic notes, the whole thing also seems nice and fresh, the incense doesn't really come out on my skin (unfortunately), but that doesn't do anything to the scent. The base notes make the scent cozy and warm - it becomes a bit sweeter, closer to the skin and more "homey".

Don't get me wrong on this though - the longevity is insane! Normally, I am one of the candidates on which any perfumes hold a maximum of 4 hours, even if they are supposed to hold 16 hours for others. Not so with Rosenrot. I still notice it myself for the first few hours, even though I'm usually absolutely scent-blind - and I'm still talked about it in the evening, without re-spraying. Even the next day it's still there discreetly. Nevertheless, it is never expansive or "too much" - the silage I would not describe as discreet, not overloaded but as just right.

It reminds me of Tom Ford's Velvet Orchid, which is also in my collection. The scents are not Dukes - at least I wouldn't go so far as to call them that, but Rammstein definitely captures the "vibe" for me, it's that sophisticated. The longevity is even better with Rosenrot, and I would almost say that had I had Rosenrot in my collection before, I wouldn't have bought Tom Ford at all. Rammstein has thus brought out no 0815 fragrance, no - he could well play in the upper league of niche perfumes!

I'm glad to have discovered this treasure - in my opinion very well invested 40 € and for rose and niche fans (+ of course also for Rammsteinfans ;)) it's worth it all times to at least take a sniff

...that before the Nova is an Angel. The has namely with the "original" fragrance nothing in common.

But if you fade that out, I find him really beautiful.

Compared to the other Muglers, it really lacks "special" - yes, it is nothing that you would not have smelled before so or so similar. But: I'm not a fan of fruit scents. And yet he has somehow managed to convince me.

Which is probably because of the lychee. Damn, comes through with me! I smell like ne lychee pickled in lychee juice drizzled with rose water, paired with fresh raspberries. On me, it doesn't smell insanely synthetic - though I realized that it won't smell like "natural raspberries and lychee" either, of course. Since you have to accept the bit of synthetic.

With me, the lychee comes out at the beginning, which also holds over the entire course of the fragrance. After a few minutes joins the sky berry, which is clearly perceptible, but is not too strong. That's it - for now. The first 1-2 hours I perceive namely only the two, before the rose joins. This makes it a little lighter, a little fresher - although I really like the sweetness of the lychee and raspberry :)

The longevity and sillage is incredibly good on me - which is the case with all Mugler perfumes. I own Alien, Aura and now also Angel Nova and they are definitely my "Holy Grails" when it comes to the fact that I want to smell all day, without Nachsprühen - and even true myself for hours.

Yes, it's not particularly innovative. Yes, Mugler has better fragrances. Yes, you can find something similar if you want - but whether it then holds so long? I'm not a fan of the original Angel, not on me - but by the fragrance I dare myself maybe times and give him another chance. For spring and summer I find him great!

Addendum: Meanwhile, I have sattgerochen - after about 5 times wear. Somehow he was me in the long run too squeaky and just too much of a good thing, with the mixture of lychee and raspberry. Maybe he is also better meant for spring, when the weather is not yet quite so good and you need a pick-me-up, but in the long run I do not really want to smell like that anymore. Too bad! :(

Perfect?
Preliminary: I have only one fragrance sample of it, but tested him for several days.

And personally I have come to the conclusion that he is not necessarily "my fragrance" - but that does not mean that he is bad. On the contrary.

In my opinion, he is namely a very pleasing fragrance, which, I think, will please especially people who are very new to the "perfume world". He is not too sweet, not too flowery, not too stuffy. It doesn't have any particular longevity or sillage, at least not on my skin, but stays rather close to the body - every now and then you notice a fresh, slightly sweet whiff when you move.

The bottle I actually find quite sweet - even if it is not very beautiful. But he fits, I think, well with the other Marc Jacobs bottles, which are anyway yes very playful and partly squeaky. What sense do the banana, the cube znd co. make? I think none. Just "simply" for the purpose of design.

But that also fits somehow to the fragrance. From everything and for everyone something there. I would also definitely get him, if I did not have 5 others, which smell just so similar. Just nothing really new, special but definitely something that I would like to smell - for this he is me but then again a little too expensive.

So, but now to the fragrance itself - because as so often counts yes actually only the inner values ;)

I like the top note best, where the fresh rhubarb immediately jumps into my nose - paired with the slightly sweet, pleasant almond milk. The rhubarb I perceive throughout the wearing time, however, it withdraws again after a few minutes, which I find very unfortunate. Other than that, I can't make out any particular progression. After a few hours, he becomes a little lighter, the flowers come more strongly added.

What remains is a floral, sweet but fresh perfume that lays more like a veil on the skin than it should be too intrusive. A fragrance that definitely does not bother anyone, pleases many and is suitable for practically every day.

So I personally will not get him, at least for now. For me it is too "random", too light, too fleeting on my skin - but that's my personal problem, on me just does not hold much (No, I'm not fragrance-blind. With most perfumes, you can't smell anything on me after 1-2 hours). So if you like rhubarb, are new to the fragrance world, are generally a fan of Marc Jacobs fragrances or are looking for something pleasantly light and fresh for spring, you definitely shouldn't be afraid to try it! :)

Jay Gatsby... is that you?
First of all: This is my first Tom Ford fragrance. And I love him.

With the reviews you can see yes, that the opinions here are very far apart - understandable! He is really quite stubborn, but I love him.

At the first spraying on I honestly warped the face. Too much, too "in your face." So I went on through the perfumery, showed my mom again 50 perfumes (she hates me now for my hour-long "Parfumrants"?), before she asked me what smelled so good. Between Crystal Noir, Donna, Prada Candy, Chance Chanel, Alien.... you know what I mean. Between what felt like 100 perfumes sprayed, it wasn't really easy to figure out what EXACTLY smelled so good right now.

But the scent accompanied us all the way home. And lo and behold, it was my wrist. But I was still unsure whether that was now really this stinky orchid bomb, which should smell so good.

So next week off to the perfumery again. It was really hard for me not to smell umpteen different perfumes again, yay. :( So, sprayed on dear Tom and back home. And it was REALLY the rancid orchid that slowly but surely evolved into a beautiful scent.

About the bottle:
I don't think there's much to say about this other than wow. I think it's totally beautiful. Very plain, very simple - but that's what I like about it, and something else wouldn't have suited the fragrance at all, in my opinion. It's very slim, has ridges and the purple is complemented nicely by the gold elements. He looks already high-quality and I have him really like to look at.

About the scent:
At the beginning it smells me, as I said, just too strong - I can not even describe what it smells like at all. Just like too much.

With me, however, it goes relatively quickly, as it turns into a bouquet of flowers - now but do not think wrong. No fresh roses or a freshly picked spring bouquet, whose scent I actually like too. More like heavy flowers that are in the middle of their bloom but will soon wilt. Plus a quart of honey, and, but maybe that's just me smelling it, a shot of rum.

It reminds me of a handsome, rich man in his 20s. And I automatically associate it with Gatsby (Or Leonardo DiCaprio, whatever. Anyway, handsome and rich). And yes, I'm a woman, but I still like to smell like an attractive, rich man - of course, that's just my association. It's really totally unisex and totally wearable by all genders.

But just not for everyone. You definitely have to test him in advance, especially since he develops, for example, on the skin of my mom quite differently than on me - since I understand the rotten fallen fruit and musty flower comments quite. Personally, I love it and would argue that it's definitely the most unusual scent in my collection.

Wearable he is for me in everyday life rather less. Definitely not for work or in my case, for school. If, then rather for an evening event, possibly a date with Gatsby ;) or maybe times at home, just so for himself. I'll definitely take it out when we're allowed to again

I don't know what they were thinking at Tom Ford...
"Hey guys. I've got a brilliant idea!"
"What's that, Tom?"
"What if we make a really great cherry perfume?"
"Yeah, sounds good to me. Go on?"
"Of course we'll make it totally expensive. And the perfume will smell absolutely bombastic for the first 5 minutes."
"Five minutes?"
"Yes, that's right, 5 minutes. That's where the name comes in."
"And what would that be?"
"Lost Cherry!"
"Lost innocence?"
"No, Lost Cherry. Do you check it? We're making a cherry perfume that doesn't even smell like cherry after a few minutes! Lost Cherry!"
"Genius!"

That's about how I imagine this perfume came about, or something like that. Don't get me wrong - I love it to death. But it just doesn't last. I sprayed it on myself several times. I wanted to love it. But at this price? 5 minutes? Possibly it's my skin chemistry, but I don't smell anything more than a light cloud of marzipan after a few minutes. You can't really describe a scent progression other than totally delicious, sweet cherry paired with cherry liqueur in the first 2-3 minutes, which is then followed by said marzipan scent cloud for maybe half an hour. I'm also looking for a long time for a dupe that lasts at least a few hours and not identical, but at least so similar smells - I bought me Lolita Lempicka Sweet, which does not really resemble him, but smells like cherry and lasts, for a fraction of the price.

If I win the lottery someday, I will definitely buy it and re-spray it every 5 minutes. Until then, I'm afraid I'll have to keep looking for alternatives. :(
