Casmir bomb for arms
I was never aware of the Avon brand before perfume. As far as I know there are not in shops, but only by mail order. I don't find the concept so appealing now but of course everything I get between my greedy fingers is tested... so on perfumes ;)

Far Away is probably a kind of figurehead for the brand, so I was quite excited about the test. But I guess it's probably gonna stick.

Right from the start I felt somehow familiar. But more like, "Who's wearing that tacky, cheap perfume?" Overripe peach and luscious flowers. I like it in itself but here it's too intrusive. I have to say that in my rehearsal there was really only a small remainder, nevertheless I had the feeling that I stink the whole bus together today. For me, obtrusive means that on the one hand it smells too sweet and too luxuriant, but it lacks depth, accents, elegance, it just doesn't smell high-quality to me. And an intensive and striking fragrance that does not smell high-quality has something cheap and intrusive for me.

High quality fragrances vibrate for me. You have something three-dimensional. Even the individual scents don't remain static. You take a whiff, and it's like you're drowning in it. Here I sniff, but somehow I can't get any further. There's nothing alive in the scents. Instead of plunging into a sea of flowers, I almost hit the wall.

And while I'm still pondering, which again doesn't suit me here, I remember what else Far Away reminds me of: After three quarters of an hour the flowers withdraw and it remains... CASMIR in overdose. I had written a comment 2 years ago and said that I had sprayed a bit too much and that it killed the smell. At Far Away I have exactly this, but already with one sprayer. As with Casmir it is also here so that vanilla, amber and sandalwood mix together in such a way that it has (at least for me) something of coconut. Casmir actually has coconut as a fragrance, here it is probably just the mixture. However, Far Away is too penetrating for me even with only one sprayer. It lacks the fluffiness that Casmir develops with a discreet dosage

After three to four hours the scent changes again. It becomes a little woody and green. Osmanthus probably trickles in with some delay, but something else is still there. What might that be? A variety of synthetic sandalwood maybe? It even gets a touch of smoke. And I like that for once. Unfortunately, I can only smell it on my skin.

All in all, the fragrance is no revelation to me. But the sillage is really remarkable. Also the durability is above average. You really get a lot of scent for little money. But unfortunately you can smell the lack of quality.

Oranges vs. children
For a while I tried to make friends with Blablacar. I like to travel a lot and often, but it is expensive. And if I save on travel expenses, I have more money for new fragrances. Just when I have fallen back on Blablacar, I have often regretted it bitterly. The gentle and friendly Liberte reminds me of such a story, because he saved me from giving the driver the right opinion... I was going from Vienna to Besancon with a young lady... and her two small children. And that was the problem. We were sitting next to each other in the back seat and the two kids were fighting non-stop. The completely overburdened mom tried to calm them down and at the same time watch the road. I tried to sleep, which of course wasn't possible, because the children realized at some point that it's also quite funny to fight me. The mother then told me that I just had to play with them. Oh yeah... Do I have to? But I didn't want to. Because I am a woman in the best childbearing age (*scary*) but I just don't like children. I'm sorry, I know that makes me unsympathetic but that's just the way it is. Besides, I paid the lady to take me with her to France and not HER to take me with her children.

So I spent the looooong drive burying my nose in Liberte and looking at the kids angrily when they screamed my name loudly.

But my choice of scent that day couldn't have been better. First of all, Liberte is an orange scent. And orange is supposed to be relaxing and calming, even making you happy. Perhaps because it reminds many people of Christmas. But I don't have that association here. Liberte is fresh and summery. In the top note we have the concentrated citrus freshness right away. Invigorating and very fruity with a classic bergamot prelude that is then wonderfully cushioned by tangerine and orange. At first it really smells as if you were smelling a freshly cut fruit. In the course of the fragrance Liberte becomes only discreetly floral. This rounds off the fragrance very nicely, so that you don't smell like a glass of orange juice. I can't find any cane sugar that smells a bit like caramel. But that doesn't matter. Liberte remains nicely unsweet and therefore unobtrusive. So it's really good for long car rides. With or without screaming children. Even with a good dosage and in closed rooms, it does not develop anything stuffy.
The base is then really finely blended patchouli with vanilla and still this soft floral note. Unfortunately, the silage is already very weak and you can only smell something when you press your nose on the scented area. Even if one has sprayed very generously. This could be the only real criticism of the fragrance.

Liberte is therefore pleasant and unobtrusive. Yet he has enough independence so that he does not slip into insignificance. He is certainly not suitable for a grand entrance or as a compliment collector. But he calms the nerves and relaxes, almost like a gentle massage.
Because of its restraint I would recommend the fragrance also rather in warm weather. I can't classify it anywhere in terms of age or sex. It smells a bit feminine because of the flowers, but it is so discreet that it doesn't really come out on male skin. Just try it.

By the way, the overworked mother was allowed to let me out in Mulhouse. The rest of the way I took the train, but I didn't lose my composure. And since then I prefer to drive Flixbus ;)

Even I can have an Easter fire this way
Because of the interesting comments I imagined this scent. My taste in scents is quite varied but with oriental I get really weak and it sounds really interesting.

And he is.

The scent changes rather little over time and the Sillage is unfortunately absolutely below average. But what you smell, smells wonderful. Birch tar smells a bit like burnt wood. But not sooty and dirty but smoky and soft with a clear wood note. With the leather, which is rather dark and heavy here, this goes very well. From Oud I perceive only a hint. In fact only in the beginning. Just like something fresh green, which can only be the grapefruit peel. I wouldn't have thought of it on my own because nothing smells citric here. The smoky one increases in the course of time. But always with a slight freshness in the background. Stuffy smoking chamber bits here none.

I have the following scenery in my head: Imagine you have lit an Easter fire in a clearing the day before (this is still common in our country, I don't like it at all, because a lot can go wrong there... and please don't do something like that in a clearing. That only works in a fragrant head cinema). There is still some smoke in the air, which mixes with the woody forest smell. Besides, it rained in the morning and the grass smells really nice and fresh (at least because there was no fire pfft).

So I get upset that the people have to burn again in the wild because it is tradition, but at least it smells good. This mixture of green-fresh and smoky-woody is really nice. And since the Sillage is so weak LEIDER, the scent is also good to wear in summer. But I would recommend it in the evening. Because despite its freshness it is somehow a dark and very mysterious scent.

Luckily, I bought a big bottle. Now I can practically pour this wonderful stuff over myself, which unfortunately is sorely needed. So Orient Treasure will last until the evening.

If you like smoky but still fresh and exciting, you should definitely try this wonderful scent. Ladies and gentlemen alike
