Hype claims it as "La Vie est Belle | Lancôme" dupe. "Mon Guerlain | Guerlain" inspired this. Do Aura Jolie and Angelina Jolie ring a bell?
Chalou is a light, fresh, and powdered floral with notes of citrus, aquatic flowers, and mellifluous woodsy accords. Rose sublime!
A potent citrus blend, which takes ripe summer grapefruits, reduces them to bitter, spicy nectar, and pairs with apathetic sheer vetiver.
On my nose, the keynotes are herbaceous rhubarb, juicy watermelon, and citrusy Pamplewood. I feel damn confident that most men will like it!
A fresh and sensual composition, with a sparkling note of bergamot, spices in the heart that add depth, it closes with wood and ambroxan.
The atmosphere you breathe in a luxury living room with the smell of leather sofas, wooden furniture, and cigars. I am fond of the bargain.
It smells of sunshine, fresh and summery, with the last touch of virile sensuality. Vetiver that greets introspection rather than attention.
Unreservedly beautiful, proud, and unrepentant. It's dark, spicy, and blatantly rosy. Oud gives it a much amiable earthiness than patchouli.
It elevates the woods with fragrant grafts of resins and leather, balsamic introspective in its projection, amplified by a tumult of musks.
Like a summer Margarita to be drunk at the height of the midday sun. A fanciful note of vetiver arises, dewy and musky as freshly cut grass.
Things Haven’t Always Smelled So Good In Grasse
"In medieval times, the city had a thriving leather business, but the tanning process made the merchandise pungent, which did not suit the gloved nobility. A tanner from Grasse presented a pair of perfumed leather gloves to Caterina de Medici, the queen of France from 1547 to 1559, and an industry was born. "Today Grasse...
Mata Hari, Greta Garbo, Portrait Of A Diva
If I think of Rome, the Trevi fountain immediately comes to mind, and its sequence in Fellini’s film “La Dolce Vita”. “Marcello, comes here. Hurry up! “- Five words in English that anyone still recognizes immediately today. We listen to them, and in a few seconds, the image of a beautiful woman taking a bath in the Trevi...

Caro Gian Luca,
Il 2021 è stato un anno di incontri e giochi con i profumi solo a casa.
Che nel 2022 possiamo annusare i profumi ovunque vogliamo.

Ciao Gian, Thank you for your report with the 3 Avenues - I'm really glad you found them enjoyable :) I myself haven't tried any other than Night and NYC yet (Night got a review, NYC was fresh-modern floral, pleasant enough) but am curious about the other ones, too. I have the feeling the 5th Av. line really may be not too much and neat in a good way. Would love to hear your opinion on further ones!
Stay safe you too, and have a good weekend. Anessa

Hi Elysium, I just saw your comment to my review. Thanks a lot. Luckily, Zoologist allows me to combine my love for animals with some inspirational storytelling that comes to my mind when smelling the scents. Victor's fragrances are the most fun to review.

Ever since I was young, I have always loved to smell great. Cologne head all the way. Now that I am older I still love going to the mall or local shops to smell the latest fragrances. Always looking to make my collection of scents larger :)

Hello Elysium, Thank you very much for your reading and your kind comment on my blog article! I myself do not always write affirmatively about a scent if it left negative impression - frustration, incompatibility - especially failed blind purchases w/o testing opportunity, relying on praising reviews by other people; I then try to add my experience hoping to spare anyone else that might repeat the same mistake I did, only because no one else mentioned anything else than positive things. Still, I try to honestly describe and explain why I perceived something differently and what I personally did not like about it (there are few exceptions like some very low quality "dupes" that really just smelt of chemical liquid). I appreciate reviews sharing sincere feelings and thoughts, as you said, (the same for everything else in life) and find that is what makes a review valuable and authentic. With best wishes to you, Anessa
