Like a raw leather biker jacket, creamy and powdery!
By the way, I was looking for an oud-based perfume as a replacement for my treasured "M7 (Eau de Toilette) | Yves Saint Laurent", and I came across "Essence Oud | Ferrari". Don't get me wrong, and I meant precisely Essence Oud. While getting more details about that, I found a vast collection of FERRARI essences, and Leather is one of those, meant to be oriental, leathery, and fougére.

This is the first time I got a FERRARI perfume; never tried any before. So, just following the first squirt, I got a spicy, sweet, and warm aroma of clove buds blended with tart orange peel and just a feel of bergamot. Ain't no medicinal note in there, but something slightly subtle and powdery. I think I adore that inception, miles away from the traditional citrus top notes of many other fragrances.

As soon as that pleasant blend fades down, the starring notes of this leathery juice begin revealing their best. I catch plenty of luxury dark leather accord surrounded by sensual tonka and a pinch of aromatic cassia bark spread around the woody notes with a red-hot candy nuance.

The dry down is rich in superior patchouli, cedar smoothness and guaiac wood smokiness, and an amusing touch of creamy vanilla powder. The overall scent is captivating, not boring at all.

Meseems, Leather Essence is a refined and exquisite fragrance that makes a masculine signature. I recommend this for cooler temperatures like fall and winter, both during a day and night out. Since it is not overpowering can be safely worn at work. Longevity and sillage are above the average on my skin, an exceptional fragrance. An exciting thing, the bottle is wrapped by an excellent leather cover that reminds the interior of the Ferrari GT. To me, this scent deserves a complete 8/10! You know what? I am tempted to buy "Vetiver Essence | Ferrari" as it sounds promising!!!

The seven values that man should have
An interesting thing you should know is that the name 7 comes from the seven ingredients of which it is exclusively composed. This fashionable fragrance is marked by higher pepper, incense, flowery notes, and vetiver, forming a modern, sophisticated, and divine scent. It is a truly masculine scent, and 7 Men is as complex as his scent, traditional yet rebellious and brave. Each specially selected ingredient represents the seven values that the 7 men should have: passion, pride, bravery and force, solitude and spirituality, art and tradition, life and death, human and divine.
I would dare to say L7 does not conform to the other design fragrances' ways. I came across it by chance since I was looking for a bottle of SOLO and the clerk kindly asked about trying this instead... I imagine I got blessed that day, and here you are, what I got.

L7 is supposed to be aromatic, woody, and floral, and it opens the same as a clove and pepper bomb, but nothing to do with Marc Jacobs Bang or Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb... The mouillette (paper strips) smells like an ever-new packet of cigars, with that distinctive smell of raisin. Don't get me wrong. I am referring to the fresh tobacco aroma and not the irritating hash. Yeah, I am a non-smoker, man, but I smell raisins when I sniff a packet of cigarettes, and I like how fresh cigs smell. To me, it's quite a beautiful smell. I didn't get too many apple notes; perhaps the spicy notes are too strong for my nostril and cover it. Even though there is no mention of the clove buds, I surmise that aroma comes from the pepper leaves. Pay attention that the excessive clove note you get is intense in the first couple of hours.

Then, I got a bit of graceful rose and beautiful fresh incense and vetiver that started playing the game, together with the cedarwood and a sort of mild musk (not wild, forget about YSL Kouros or Narciso Rodriguez for Him, this is a gentle musk!). That blend makes L7 so damn masculine and modern. In my opinion, the dry down reminds me of something about "Cacharel pour L'Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Cacharel", maybe the use of the very same vetiver and musk ingredients. But I don't mind; CpH used to be my signature fragrance when I was 20!

Oh man, it is so powerfully spicy, though not too harsh, far away from the oriental and bittersweet fragrances I am used to, yet so damn gorgeous. L7 is lovely to wear, just suitable for cooler and colder seasons. Since I bought it last fall, I have no clue how it might work during warmer seasons. Well, I would recommend it for spring, fall, and wintertime. Still, I would refrain from wearing it during summer due to the excessive clove note.
It's suitable for leisure time, maybe day and evening are the correct times to wear it. It's a modern and stylish scent, not overpowering so that you can go safe with it. What I like most is its unpopularity in Italy, meaning that when I wear it, I smell good, distinctive, and not similar to anyone else around me. I hate feeling like 'most men' when I wear one scent. Of course, there's no reason why you can't wear this fragrance for work since it smells clean, crisp, and fresh and stay close to you.

My two cents: L7 is an extraordinary fragrance. Initially, you will detect an overdose of cloves. But after a while, it reveals a lovely and robust incense, which combines perfectly with the cedarwood and vetiver to create a beautiful, exquisite, and very masculine cologne. Although you will get the fresh feel throughout the fragrance's life from intense to moderate, L7 is an energetic melange and very rich in flavors, perhaps almost too influential for the typical nose to appreciate. But if you want aromatic herbs and spices, look no further since no one is better than this jewel.
I am writing this review right after dinner, and I can still smell it out of my chest. That means it is a long-lasting fragrance with a moderate sillage. For all the above reasons, I would rate it 8/10.

A Spicy Ginger-Lemon Tea
This is one of the latest fragrances released by the COMIN brand, which is quite famous in Italy for making fragrances equivalent to famous trademarks. Of course, few notes might be slightly different or missing at all, yet the overall scent is very similar if not identical to the original one.
Retrò belongs to the citrus-woody-aromatic family and its composition puts together the coldness of citrus with the warmth of spices. It is a sort of modern cologne, intense, elegant and classic.
As soon as I sprayed it on my wrist I got a fresh and great opening of citrus matter like a cup of Twinings lemon & ginger based spicy tea. Then, cardamom and pungent taste of ginger start rising as the dominating top notes, with a shadow of neroli in the background.

After few minutes I noticed a striking similitude between this scent and the Bvlgari Blv. I thought it was the ginger note, hence I checked the perfumer and discovered that the nose is Alberto Morillas, the same author of both the fragrances. Gotcha! That confirmed the similitude, they are sons of the same father!

As time goes by, it develops into a dim side and turns into a woody, smoky, even a very bit leathery accords like the soft leather Nappa, and a light patchouli in there. I got a spot of smokiness, which should come from the guaiac wood and benzoin.

Well, there are some notes that my nose did not perceive at all like the myrtle, artemisia, and musk... I mean, the musk might be a mild one and not like Narciso Rodriquez for him (animalic) or Musk Alyssa Ashley (powdery)... Maybe I need to wear it some more times for getting all of the shades.

I recommend Retrò for warmer temperature but even in the cooler months like spring and fall, better during the day and perfect for work. On my skin, longevity and sillage are quite good for 5-6 hours, not sure how far from the skin other people might get it, definitely, the sillage is not obnoxious. Ultimately, the clean juice is bottled into a fully transparent glass with a see-through cap. In my opinion it 8/10... it is worth it to try and get it!!!

Oops... I was forgetting to mention that this scent is supposed to be an equivalent of Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa!

I look forward to giving you the next review.

Pure like the calla lilies of the Lempicka's portrait
La Pureté for Him reminds me of the CALLA LILIES In Lempicka's work, which resembles the symbolism of the arum flower: the white corolla, of course, brings the ideal of purity to mind. There are two fragrances, one for women (the white flacon) and one for men (the grey flacon). I am going to review the masculine scent. So read here below.

The packaging is very original, and the book wraps the bottle. Yes, the box is similar to a book, and the bottle is embedded in there, which is lovely to see elegant. The bottle is minimal, made of dark gray glass mate finish, giving a pleasant soft-touch sensation.

Classified as woody-floral, balsamic, and mossy, and for me, moderately sweet and oriental, the scent is completely different from nowadays men's fragrances. When I sniffed the first spray, my first impression was a kind of almond milk, bright, pure, a bit powdery, still bitter, and far from iris dusty. And the overall accord immediately captured me. Orange blossom and almonds stay longer as part of the middle notes on my skin. Instead, I didn't get any bergamot. At this stage, although the fragrance stays clean and pure, I perceive it as manly, gentle, and discreetly masculine.

As for the heart note, the woodsy aspect I perceive is a blend of guaiac, patchouli, and tonka bean, not too sweet, not cloying, of course. I know they are two things apart, but for some reason, I found a similarity with Kenzo Power; the floral accord is very much alike.

Ultimately, from the dry down on my skin, I got delicious notes of sandalwood, a pleasant woody accord. Ain't no mossy deal, no dominance of the white musk.

Meseems, it is ideal for wet and cold days, so I recommend spring, fall, and wintertime. The projection is near you, and the trail of scent left behind is discrete a pure breath. It has exceptional longevity, about 8 hours, and more. I wore it in the morning and the day after a, could smell it on my clothes. Yes, it is not overpowering, though it stays with you forever.

So, this masculine fragrance is a mysterious boisé, which spreads an asexual message comparable to an angel's breath on the skin. Did I intrigue you?

I wanna know where iris is...
I came across Krizia pour Homme while looking for a Xmas gift for my sister. After smelling a plethora of feminine scents, I ultimately decided for Krizia pour Femme, and once I was back home, I searched it to see what was in there and stumbled into the masculine one. The accords and the notes of Krizia pour Homme were so intriguing that I decided to go back to the shop and test it. I sprayed a couple of times on my neck, and at the first breath, I immediately liked it. So, I bought it and here are my impression.

At the very beginning, I smelled some spicy notes. Perhaps the black pepper reached my nose faster than citrus notes or any other accord. In a few minutes, something herbaceous and aromatic came out. I perceived the artemisia and minced sage leaves. Well, I didn't get any nutmeg, nor cinnamon, at least not that kind you can smell in D2 Potion. While those aromatic notes stick around, I got some elemi scent, which is very resinous, spicy, incense-like, and somewhat balsamic.

The dry down is pleasant, and it smells good on my skin; a blend of tonka, vanilla, cedar, and sandalwood makes this fragrance a woody-oriental scent. After several hours of application, the fragrance reaches its final state and remains woodsy on my skin. Although other reviewers describe this scent as powdery, I am afraid I didn't smell any iris note or white musk. For the sake of clarity, my concept of dusty is CD Homme, Valentino Uomo, and Ferré for men, where iris or orris are dominant, and Krizia pour Homme does not smell like those at all.

The projection is just close to you, and the scent trail left behind is minimal. It has average longevity, about 6-8 hours, and more. I wore it last night, and the day after, I couldn't smell it on my skin. Perhaps, like many other XXI century's scents, the sillage and longevity are more intimate, strictly personal, definitely not that kind of '80 like Krizia Uomo!

Methinks, Krizia pour Homme is elegant, manly, and authentic masculinity for the entire last. A reasonably casual scent, suitable for daily work and leisure time, preferably with cold weather. As of now, I cannot associate it with another perfume that smells similar. However, since the price is affordable and I paid 15€ for 50ml, I think it is worth it.
