It is so cloying, so sickly sweet!
I was waiting for this and... I got disappointed the very moment I tested it. Top notes are very good, I immediately loved it, but then, as heart notes get more prominent, you start smelling something aquatic, that kind of note you don't expect in a so called Nero d'Ambra (Ambre Noir or Black Amber)... but is the base notes that really disgusted me. It is so cloying, so sickly sweet, perhaps is the caramel accord, which I don't like at all. It's a sin, I wish I could buy it.
This evening I gave it another chance and tested on my back end... same story. I don't know if precious woods mean Tonka beans... fact it, it reminds me Heaven by Chopard or Wings by Giorgio Beverly Hills, which I have used in the 90th but I can't stand anymore.

Amid Rochas Man and Ted Lapidus pour Lui
I have read many reviews about Arno Sorel Aromatic, mostly stating it is very similar to "Rochas Man (Eau de Toilette) | Rochas". I have to admit I am not familiar with Rochas Man at all, but reviewers rated it as a delicious scent, and I just trusted them and decided to buy AS Aromatic. In the end, I found it for 9.90€, which was worth it anyhow.

Well, as soon as I sprayed it on my hand, it immediately reminded me of a scent I used a few years ago, and gotcha! It's very, very similar to "TL pour Lui (Eau de Toilette) | Ted Lapidus". Perhaps, the opening is not the same, however as time goes by, they seem alike. To be sure, I compared the fragrance notes and found quite a few commonalities: lavender, vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli, just to mention a few. Being that combination even present in Rochas Man, that's why the three of them smell pretty similar.

In my opinion, AS Aromatic suits both the fall and winter seasons. It is warm, not overpowering, fougère, powdery, bittersweet and woody. Despite the presence of oakmoss and patchouli, it is not a chypre due to the absence of a sparkling citrus accord. The scent opens up green and aromatic, then turns spicy and mossy, and afterwards dries down a bit creamy, earthy, with a sweet touch of vanilla.

After a few hours, I can still smell it, and it smells good, so manly and not too sweet, relatively dry I would hazard. I think it's incredible. The dry down reminds me of "Obsession for Men (Eau de Toilette) | Calvin Klein", another winter gem I love, so damn powdery! For just less than 10 euro, I believe it is a pleasant fragrance.

You know what? They smell alike!
Yesterday I went to LIDL and blindly bought my X-Bolt bottle, given that I never tested Boss Bottled, and I was curious to know what the smell was. As I left the shop, I sprayed it over my hand. I immediately fell in love with it. I allowed it some time to melt with my skin, and notes of crisp green apple, spicy cinnamon, and sweet vanilla started flooding my nose.

Well, this evening, I entered Sephora shop and tested Boss Bottled. Surprise, surprise! They smell alike! Not yet convinced about that, once I reached home, I sprayed X-Bolt on the other hand, and I could not find a difference between the two. Trust me, X-Bolt is as good as Boss Bottled, and I just spent 3.99 euro rather than 49 euro.

My last take on this. The scent is meant for daytime wear. Overall, the fragrance is clean and sweet from top to bottom. I detected faint traces of vanilla after the quick burst of apple began to settle down, blended with spicy cinnamon—a kind of like American apple pie!

Incredibly light, the X-Bolt is great for an office environment because the scent is pretty subtle. So subtle a gentleman might forget he is wearing it. The longevity is moderate, possible lasting a conventional workday but not much more extended after that. The sillage stays around your arms. To me, this is wearable during the cool and cold season, and autumn seems to be a perfect time.

The Secret of what Women Want
Yeah, Pal Zileri Cerimonia seems to own the secret of what women want; that happens to me when I wear this perfume: women come by and ask me, "what amazing perfume are you wearing? It is so delicate!". I have come across Cerimonia by chance since the perfume shop I visit nearly once a week was selling it for just seven something bucks for 30 ml/1,0 FL.OZ.

When I tested it right off the bat, it reminded me of something I could not associate with, yet that instantly captured me. Honestly, I did not recognize all the top notes since the aromatic lavender and rosemary are very strong and come up quickly in the opening.

Then, I felt the spicy and resinous juniper berries, and smoothly the moss and tonka appeared and stayed there for the rest of its life. The greenish fig leaves provide an aroma that reminds the violet leaves, so bitter and herbal. The dry down is musky, or better mossy and woody, with a tad of sweetness coming from the tonka.

I like wearing it during rainy days when the air is misty and stuffy; some notes are better perceived. I think it lasts very long on my skin, the sillage is good and not nasty, and the projection seems moderate given the compliments I got. The target audience is men between 30 to 50. My favourite seasons for wearing it are spring and fall, and perhaps holiday summer nights are good as well.

The Powdery Scent of Lipstick
I stumbled into ZARA yesterday and saw three brand new scents: 7.0, 8.0, and 9.0 ZARA EDT. All notes are printed on the box and bottle, so I tested all of them. The former two are fresh, perhaps better for spring and summer seasons, but the latter immediately reminds me of my childhood, precisely the scent of my mother's lipstick, which I like, of course!

I have noticed that there are two trends of opinion, with opposing approaches, on this scent. Although the notes are not the same, and just a few of them match, I think 9.0 is very similar to the powdery of the original "Dior Homme (2005) | Dior" ), and in some parts, it reminds me of the floral aspect of "Kenzo Power (Eau de Toilette) | Kenzo" . Conversely, some other reviewers compare it to "Valentino Uomo (2014) (Eau de Toilette) | Valentino" . Perhaps, it is a clone of none of the two, though it has many similarities with both. It is suitable for cooler weather and is perfect during both fall and wintertime.

A warm, cosy, mysteriously chocolate vibe type of fragrance. The iris is opening the show with the support of creamy bergamot and lemony coriander. Clean vetiver and juniper berries linger in the background. The bitter, spicy cardamom pods blended with sweet amber pop up, dominating the scene as the show goes on. I would bet that the pepper, black pepper, punctuate the sentences, but the other notes accent the mysterious chocolate vibe on the dry down.

It's almost middle winter now, and I do not regret my early choice this morning. So lovely, I do still smell it on me after half a day. On my skin, the powdery and chocolaty effect of the orris is long-lasting and pleasant, and sillage stays close to me but can be perceived without being overpowering. Moderate in longevity, sillage, and projection. The sprays will decide that, so be aware.

In my opinion, this scent has a niche quality and does not deserve any criticism, considering its bargain price.
