An ocean full of warmth
Noble, heavy, warm, soft, dark, full, intense, rich ... i'm sure there are a few more hands full of words to characterize this fragrance. Already while spraying on it develops its very special aura, envelops me and I want to cuddle up, make me comfortable in its warmth.

For a long time, Oud was more of an abortionist to me. Too pushy, too medical, too ... i don't know, but as my experience progresses, I seem to get a taste for it. There are now actually two or three scents with oud that don't let me turn up my nose. Across the ocean is definitely one of them.
Here the power of the eagle wood is slowed down by the citric components and gives me an amazingly pleasant scent experience.

Little by little the rose pushes in. Full-bodied and sensual and deep red. And although I actually prefer her lighter colleagues in perfume, this heavy fragrance queen totally inspires me.

I only feel a touch of the wood on the edge, which I find extremely pleasant. Tonka and vanilla also remain in the background, and can only be smelled more strongly in the finish.

The durability is, as with the other two Gravel fragrances, very good. I've been wearing Across the Ocean for almost ten hours now and it's still clearly smelly.
The Sillage is, despite the "strong" ingredients, not too strong.

Conclusion: After already falling in love with A Man's Cologne, Across the Ocean has added one more thing. However, this is by no means an everyday scent for me. I would keep him for myself selfishly, for cuddling times in front of the fireplace or for dawdling evenings on the couch with a nice glass of wine and a good book.
An autumn and winter fragrance of the finest. But this is only my modest opinion ;-)

When a man loves a woman ... or vice versa?
I was allowed to test A Man's Cologne as part of a hiking package from DonVanVliet, thanks again!

Today, on a sunny and warm late summer day, which has turned into an amazingly warm evening, I still sit outside under the almost full moon and sniff at my arm again and again, enraptured. The hiking package arrived today and I thought to myself, nimmste times the men's fragrance right at the beginning, that is certainly not anything for you anyway and on woody- spicy stehste eh not so.
In my (still relatively short) time at Parfumo, of course, I also found a lot of men's fragrances and every now and then there was actually one where I could imagine wearing it. I didn't buy any of them, though.

A man's cologne is a different caliber. I don't know the original, I don't have any possibility of comparison, I go to the test completely unbiased and actually the wow effect is there immediately after spraying on
Bergamot evaporates relatively quickly and gives way to a pleasant, bitter-sweet orange which, compared to the top notes of other perfumes, lasts a very long time. It hasn't really disappeared after two hours, but now patchouli, frankincense and this very light, fresh vetiver breath, which I like so much and which keeps the frankincense in check, come to the fore. Tonka rounds the whole thing off without under-churning the other scents. Only I don't smell the lavender so much mentioned here, but I don't miss it either.

My prescriber Leimbacher called the fragrance creamy, slightly sunny and thick and I can only agree with that. The aroma is very complex and dense, pleasantly warm and cozy. Elegant, but not over-candidate. A beautiful late summer/autumn scent for every occasion, which is now on my wish list.

I've been wearing the scent for almost 8 hours and it's still clear to smell.
The bottle is simple, but I like these linear, clear shapes that are limited to the essentials. The little stones are the icing on the cake and make something special out of the simplicity.

Conclusion: I think I have a crush ... but really :-)))

Coconut leg in pear mantle
Actually, I don't like figs in perfume very much. It's too sweet and not mine at all. I tested Debaser as part of the D.S. & Durga hiking package anyway and the name of the perfume is a mystery to me, too. "Humiliator" Why? What for?

Why am I still writing about this? Because Debaser is a very strange, idiosyncratic scent. It begins with a coconut slash, which is given to me with the club. In addition there is something stabbing, artificial, in the first moment I associate nail polish remover or thinner. Very violent, totally unpleasant.
But totally bravely I hold out and just before I get up to free myself from the misery, the whole thing tips over. Sweet pear prevails (why do pear stalks have to be understood?), I also notice the fig, but it remains reserved and bearable.
The dominating pear remains with me for a long time, then the whole thing changes again and the scent ends woody and mossy and the tonka bean also speaks again.

Sillage is good, not too strong and not too weak, he held on to my arm for a good six hours and that means something to me.

Conclusion for me: not everyday fragrance with a horrible start, but still quite interesting course. I wouldn't wear it, though

The grove rests still
One of my absolute favourite fragrances is the lime blossom. In my hometown there are a lot of lime trees to my delight and so I usually walk around with my head raised higher than usual to catch the last scent molecule at flowering time.
All the more I was looking forward to a fragrance with a lime tree and took it with me as the first one from the rich D.S. & Durga hiking package (many thanks to Fluxit!).

The fragrance starts with a mixture of spruce needle foam bath and fresh citrus, which is not bad, but also not earth-shattering. The strong top note flies away quite quickly and gives way to a harsh base, which is unfortunately very reserved for me. I perceive the teen note, the rose no longer and of my beloved lime tree unfortunately every trace is missing. Too bad.
But nevertheless the fragrance is pleasant, slightly woody - herbaceous - sweet, but not too sweet, which wouldn't fit here either.
After about two hours I can only sense the scent on my skin. All that's left is a slight breeze.
The name's the program here.
