He has a bright red rubber boat
... warbles Antonia from Tyrol.

And with this rubber boat we go out ...
Into meaningless nothingness. Into the hole in the ozone layer. Or maybe somewhere completely different, where nobody will see or smell us.

Well, what can I say here?
The first contact actually reminds me of semi-hard rubber plastic, which is just living out its existence in the sun.
Very artificially underpinned by an immense plastic cardboard note. Bianchi probably had a bright red rubber boat running in the background when she finished the composition. The fragrance is almost obsessively coated with a lukewarm freshness and it all seems very artificial. I also catch a hint of flowers, although this is more like a floral water. There is also a slight scent of incense. Towards the end, the bright red rubber boat burns off and is literally covered by the not entirely force-free freshness, which is somehow totally out of place here. That's pretty much it. Freshness paired with burning plastic and a few flowers. A bit of incense and we have a sailor romance. Or maybe not. What is that keeps running through my head over and over again. I find absolutely no guideline here and for me personally, it is one of the worst fragrances I have been able to test recently. Accordingly, my assessment is also devastating, except the bottle is kept simple and the durability and sillage are quite okay.

If this is art, then I personally won't buy it at all, because it doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. Someone must have been looking for a maritime low point and probably found it.

I wasn't expecting much anyway, so I'm not particularly disappointed. What's really bad now is that the scent reminds me of the awful song I used to listen to up and down in my childhood. Because: I grew up in a ski resort.

Antonia was only right about one thing in the song:
Quote: Kissing on board is forbidden
I'll also tell you why
The boat is a construction
It tips over when you kiss...

And it's not just me that tips over here, but also the complete misconstruction of this fragrance. Thank you, I'm done!

Keep up with the Lattafa hype?
At the moment, it feels like you can see something or other about Lattafa everywhere on Tiktok, Instagram and even FB. Be it from ordinary mortals or from a few influencers, even from really well-known faces... people often point the Lattafas into the camera and praise them beyond measure. I was often asked by friends and acquaintances what the fragrances were good for, because you can easily buy them from a certain well-known website. But, as is so often the case, I don't have the right answer, because the proof of the pudding is in the eating. We all have completely different ideas and tastes are totally different anyway.

Admittedly, I haven't had many lattafas under my nose. Especially with the sheer number of them that the brand owns. However, the one I tested did not touch me at all and I was and still am not particularly impressed by this fragrance. I'm certainly pricking the open wound of some owners here with a sharp needle, but personally I have to say that this fragrance reminds me of a standard fruit cocktail that sits in the sun for too long without being chilled, regardless of the hungry party guests. For me, it also starts off too weary. There's far too much going on at once (sweetness, fruit, flowers). Also very creamy, underpinned by a thick vanilla that doesn't want to combine harmoniously with Heiltrop. Sprinkle on some brown sugar and my absolute nightmare has come true. But it doesn't last very long, which surprises me, because some connoisseurs swear that Lattafa is a real long-lasting monster.

Personally, I can only imagine this fragrance on teenagers. No passion, no depth, no particular development. The bottle is not a feast for the eyes for me either. The color is my nemesis anyway. There are certainly very exciting fragrances from Lattafa, but I haven't gotten to know them yet. It will certainly take forever.

I can confidently do without this fruit cocktail and so far I'm not a fan of the hype.

Invigorating frankincense infusion
If you're looking for clear, powerful incense with that certain something, this is the one for you.
For not even that much money, you get a very good performance. Incenso d'Oriente is a beautiful incense fragrance that is second to none. Especially in this price range. Really big houses can take a leaf out of its book.

It starts off powerfully smoky. An invigorating incense infusion that is downright inspiring. Delicately undermined by a spice that is creamily integrated here. After a very short time, a very intense note of camomile emerges. Fits perfectly into the concept. It is very well balanced. The camomile becomes paler over time, but this in no way detracts from the fragrance. On the contrary. The heart is not only richly smoky, but also incredibly dry and resinous. Earthy facets undermine the soul of this fragrance and allow it to sink in, as if one had been released from all this suffering. Like a long-awaited infusion of pain. Penetrated by warming rays of sunshine that want to penetrate the mind, without interrupting the almost cool, thoroughly straightforward atmosphere.

Longevity and sillage are absolutely terrific and the bottle is also appealing. I'll take a photo of it when I get the chance, because it's a different one to the one pictured here.

Angels' Share with complexes
Admittedly, it smells very similar to the hyped Angels Share, which isn't really my kind of fragrance and didn't really warm me up. It's well made and a beautiful construct of sweetness and made for souls who want to drown themselves in warm cognac.
Lovingly surrounded by hazelnut & tonka bean. But the Zara clearly lacks persistence and depth.
Cinnamon flakes rain softly here too, but they sink very quickly into the snow and disappear never to be seen again. A hint of citrus hangs lazily in the air. It all seems very calm and not intrusive. In winter, this candidate is much too weak on the chest. It is probably more suited to warmer days. The fragrance itself is very straightforward, without any outbursts or recesses. It is the way it falls on the skin. That's how it stays.

What Zara presents here is incredibly close to Kilian, whereby you really can't go wrong for the few euros. But what is absolutely not right is the sillage and the durability. These are miserable and the fragrance fizzles out very quickly. I don't know if that's my perception, but it really is like that on me. It's a shame, because it really is a tasty scent for little money that is neither intrusive nor annoying. It's equally suitable for both sexes and not too bad for layering. The bottle is also plain and simple. I like it, even the name!

An Angels' Share with complexes that knocks on Kilian's door here, but doesn't generate the desired passion, as it ultimately comes across as far too shy and quiet. Although you can't really complain about the price.

Happy Easter to you all

Wet laundry under the scorching sun
Sicily smells to me like freshly washed laundry that has been washed with Ariel and lemon fabric softener. A hint of synthesis resonates right from the start.

Hung soaking wet on the line, it steams away under the scorching sun. A lukewarm wind blows through the rows, bringing a musky fluff with it. The lemon is dominant here, a little bitchy, but then becomes a little smoother after a hint of peach and mint combine. The musky fluff becomes firmer and firmer, literally pulling itself into the scent. A shallow scent of flowers then hangs in there. This is the final blow for me. From then on, it doesn't harmonize at all. Artificial freshness is probably the best term here. Apple juice also runs into the course. Spritzed with stale mineral water.

So it hangs there, the laundry. For a whole day. Dried thoroughly until the evening. Everything out of it, steamed out. No great odors, derailments or developments.

Would I like to smell like that? No. Although it is certainly extremely interesting for some people, I prefer to reach for other summer fragrances. The longevity and the sillage are remarkable, but in the end it's just too cardboardy and artificial for me. Even though I like the smell of freshly laundered laundry and it comes across well at first, in the end the whole construct is not a harmonious combination.
