That could have been it, the great journey back to the Renaissance and indeed:
After the first spray, you can understand where this Xerjoff has its name.

Nevertheless, I was not one hundred percent convinced and would have liked that this fragrance would have picked me up even more, to a journey to the ancient era.

Do not get me wrong, this fragrance has a lot to offer, which I would like to address, starting with the fragrance process now.

Scent progression: The bergamot, lime and tangerine provide a fresh and intense start. You can feel the power that this fragrance throws at you in the beginning. After these three close notes then slowly fade away, the somewhat creamy mint comes to the fore, accompanied by a slightly rosy note and the lily of the valley. Here, the initial power subsides and the scent becomes more constant. The four base notes round it all out, with the moss in particular giving the scent its own flavor. The combination of amber, patchouli and cedar accompany one until the fragrance gradually subsides and comes to rest.

H&S: Circa 6-7 hours I could perceive the fragrance on me. He projected for 2-3 hours very intense. In fact, however, I would have liked a slightly more long-lasting presence.

Flacon: The beautiful, transparent flacon looks classy and exclusive. Similar to the other Xerjoff flacons.

Conclusion: A fresh fragrance with an interesting course of which everyone should make up their own mind. Even if it has not quite succeeded with me, there is certainly one or the other Parfumo, which is taken by Xerjoff Renaissance on a journey back in time.

There I was in one of our urban perfumeries. Rather emotionless I tried some standard fragrances through and after a short break I remembered this one fragrance that was recommended to me once... Layton was his name! I asked the perfumery employee for the fragrance, which she luckily had in stock. From "Parfums de Marly" I had never heard anything before.

Expectant and curious, I sprayed this for me then exclusive and expensive fragrance on a perfume strip and it overwhelmed me.
This fresh, exclusive fragrance, this symphony of individually perceptible ingredients. I was enthralled. A door opened into a new world.
Admittedly: At the time, I was not even aware of what niche fragrances even are and what variety the perfume industry still offers.

Fragrance: Fresh, strong, masculine & exclusive.
The composition of the initial freshness of tangerine and apple, the slightly rosy transition and the rounding, woody base with vanilla, lets the individual ingredients harmonize great.

H&S: Brilliant performance, powerful & intense. The scent can be perceived partly a few days later still on the clothes.

Flacon: Lines up typically in the PdM series. Beautiful, heavy and noble flacon.

Conclusion: My first niche fragrance and (proper) entry into the diverse perfume world, so Layton has certainly a special place with me.
Nevertheless, you get here a great evening / going out fragrance for special occasions with an outstanding performance, which I think you can wear at almost any time of year.

Scent: citrus, the Sicilian mandarin clearly in the foreground, even after some time. The slightly pungent elemi resin and lovage are perceptible, however, remains for me here the mandarin dominant. The cedar, amber and the white musk round off the whole in the base.

H&S: Initially very present, but strongly decreasing in already a short time. For one certainly annoying, I personally use the Allure Homme Sport Cologne also like for occasions where I want to have a not quite so penetrating Duftaura or just to start fresh in the day.

Flacon: The transparent glass flacon fits the citrus-fresh fragrance and keeps a good balance between exclusivity and sportiness.

Conclusion: Who accepts the handicap of H / S and gets involved, has here a fresh, uplifting and sporty fragrance that can be worn wonderfully, for example, after a refreshing shower after sports / sauna.
