Blossoming soul of a woman
An opulent bouquet for a passionate, proud woman - that's the association that comes to my mind at April 3rd first.
At the same time, I must admit that I did not expect too much after testing the yet quite oversweetened Ambre Tabac and the more imaginative, but equally oversweetened Black Widow Patchouli.

But with April 3rd Daniel Josier has succeeded in my opinion a small masterpiece, because he accomplishes in it a complicated balancing act between classic, opulent women's fragrances with the appropriate touch of animalism and a more modern fragrance with fresh accents and a soft sweetness.
The individual floral notes are for me hard to separate from each other, but in their entirety result in a lush bouquet, since shines in the most vibrant colors. A light lime freshness rolls off the leaves like morning dew, giving the fragrance a youthful effervescence that contrasts beautifully with the slightly animalic, spicy base notes. I feel transported to a garden where everything is sprouting wildly, greening and blooming, full of life and vigor. Dense and lush, yet fresh, juicy, rejuvenating. Dignified.

Daniel Josier is said to have designed April 3rd for his mother. I would love to know what kind of person she must be that she was able to inspire him to create such a powerful fragrance. It must be a beautiful soul. I almost have the feeling when wearing it, to be able to do him no justice.

P.S.: In its opulence, April 3rd reminds me quite some works of Roja Dove and also the quality seems surprisingly high - especially when you consider that he is in contrast to all Rojas for just 125€ to have.

In the arms of Tonka
I have been emotionally connected to the smell of the Tonka bean since I acquired my first Tonka fragrance at the Perfume Academy in Bremen. Although it was a very heavy, smoky oriental perfume and did not suit my usual taste at all, it soon began to have a soothing, comforting effect on me. Not the normal feeling of well-being that comes over you when you perceive a familiar scent, but an almost "psychoactive" way to calm me down.
It got so much into my head that I preferred to put on the perfume for myself alone in the evening or even only when I went to bed to let myself drift in the smell. I was well aware that the perfume contained tonka bean, but which ingredient I could attribute this effect to, I did not really know.

That changed when I decided yesterday to test a tonka bean fragrance in my trusted perfumery. Tomorrow is my final anatomy exam and I am the personified stress, so I hoped for distraction and a half hour fragrance holiday. That's how Tonka Imperiale fell into my hands. Already on the first breath it was clear - it is the tonka bean! The Tonka, my comforter, sleep guard and soothing spirit. Quite unlike my first Tonka perfume, this one is filled with sweetness and a bright, friendly perfume, framed by a spicy, woody note that ears me.
This perfume is my encourager, an encouraging word and a gentle embrace.

P.S.: Generally recommended for anyone who wants to smell good when failing a test ;)

Metamorphosis of the Rose
During my weekly walk through my wonderful perfumery I got a happy surprise today - the new limited collection from Lubin, about which I had already read a lot.
After sniffing a few bottles, Galaor was the fragrance I wanted to test first.

During my first breath on the test strip I was almost blown away by fresh bergamot and I have to admit that I was deterred, as I had imagined this fragrance series to be rather oriental, spicy and mediterranean, but by no means citric. I put the scent strip aside and dedicated myself to testing other perfumes. About 5 minutes later I gave the fragrance a new try.

He had undergone such a transformation that he was hardly recognizable! The citric top note had vanished, and before me a deep, warm lake of dark rose and cinnamon spread out. The interplay reminds me of almonds and cherry. Sweet, but still deep and little flowery - a rose full of passion and abysses. Patchouly ground the scent, root the rose in cool, dry soil.

Conclusion: A fragrance with exciting change, profound and beautiful! Unfortunately I can't say anything about Sillage and durability, because I haven't worn it on myself yet.

Summer of Ordinaryness
The first seconds disappoint me completely: totally citric, only smell lemon and bergamot. Not pretty!
But my anger flattens out again quickly when after a short time a fruity, flowery note comes into the limelight. I smell violets clearly, jasmine less. It smells of early summer, everything is blooming, the first berries are ripe for snacking. That's much better. A friendly nice weather scent, always wearable, but I personally lack the depth.

Sillage:
Despite several sprays after a few minutes you can only smell close to your body.

Shelf life:
Could be better, I'm afraid. Even on test strips, where I can still perceive many fragrances days later, it only lasts half a day and is then barely perceptible

Cotton candy cloud
Sundazed begins quite fresh, an invigorating citric prelude. The lemon harmonises wonderfully with mandarin and neroli and does not smell a bit pungent or "detergent", which often bothers me with other perfumes. Here she simply spreads freshness and good mood!
After a few minutes I sink into a fluffy, soft cloud of cotton candy, which I love so much about this fragrance. For me he embodies a lightness of life, which I am looking for again and again, especially in summer. My cotton candy cloud I smell quite constant the remaining time, and so I let myself float on it through the day.

Shelf life:
On the skin average, in the hair, where I particularly like to wear it, it lasts naturally longer (with me up to 10h).
The durability is therefore quite acceptable for me.

Sillage:
At the beginning relatively strong, after the first 2-3h I get a breath of fresh air every now and then without being pushy. How do you do?
