A pity
For a long time, i.e. over 2 decades, I have been observing the rapidly declining quality of this once so beautiful fragrance. Yes, for me it has slipped faster and faster into the inferior in recent years - and by that I don't mean tilted! I simply noticed that even with a newly bought bottle, the scent on the skin, which once shone so beautifully and for so long, faded very quickly, even though I always stored it according to the instructions.

When I came to Parfumo in May, the focus was clearly on all the new fragrances there were still to discover and "Pleasures" was somewhat pushed into the background. Nevertheless I bought him again together with other new perfumes - just because he had already so worn off again (although just 1 year old) and I wanted to try it again. I was of the opinion, if from now on also more variety, I would never exclude him completely from the circle of my darlings!

And if I found him somehow "funny", maybe he had suffered somehow after all? So, as I said, buy it again and dispose of the old one. This fragrance, acquired 3 months ago, I have today subjected to a close examination. Because I suddenly felt like it again, especially since the thermometer doesn't climb that high anymore.

What a disappointment. Pale, degenerated to a little 0815 - water, the whole magic had already evaporated after 2 hours so far that even burying the nose in my arm hardly brought a noteworthy fragrance experience. What a disappointment.

After this experience - or rather, after not experiencing it at all - my longest lasting love of fragrance has finally died for me. The bottle is still ¾ full and the perfume is definitely not tilted, at least that's not how it smells. But what Pleasures once was is simply no longer in existence - unfortunately. Even though my nose may have become a bit more demanding today, this is definitely not what it used to be. "Too bad" is on the tombstone I want to put for him with this commi here. Because Pleasures has its best years behind it and is really no pleasure anymore. He's still flowering around a little meaningless and then - shoo! - disappeared. Each drugstore fragrance lasts longer.

Other commissioners from the last years already suggested that, but I didn't want to admit it. Who wants to look so closely when an old love dies.

Or, maybe I'm wrong too and had bad luck a few times in a row for unknown reasons. Therefore my question to the 170 Pleasures owners of the community: are you similar? That wouldn't change anything, but shared suffering...

That sounds dramatic now, but who better than you to understand that a fragrance that you have worn for many years and that has accompanied you through thick and thin can be like a door to old and almost forgotten memories. A door that has now closed forever. ?

Well. At least the bottle was by far the ugliest in my collection.

Want some cool energy?
DKNY Woman - Energizing Eau de Parfum may be a polarizer because he is not necessarily a pleasing flatterer. A little synthetic in smell, similar to the green apple, but all in all it is lively and lively and can increase the resistance against the heat these days as a secret weapon that is always ready. Citric scents in combination with narcissus, orchid, jasmine and water lily delight the olfactory cells and the "energizing" in the name also suggests an increase in personal daily energy.

Can you smell metal? Sure Especially when it's damp or wet. For example, I perceive the scent of the silver of the bracelet after swimming, perhaps also because the iron of the feather is added from the locking spring ring.

The clear, transparent bottle with the self-confident, unromantic inscription increases the cool impression by reminiscent of a mineral, perhaps rock crystal, which I tried to capture in my photo. At the same time, it is probably intended to evoke the obvious association with the New York Twintowers - as a homage to Donna Karan from New York.

As one of America's most important fashion designers, she laid the foundation for what is now known as capsule wardrobe in the 1980s - a kind of minimalist fashion for a variety of combinations. She also designed these clothes for the "average figure" of a working woman - at that time women who wanted to go into business still had to resort to black suits in smaller men's sizes. She revived her black and comfortable basic wardrobe by accentuating it with colorful accessories.

Cool and unsweet, fresh and lively - I am glad that I have my little Twintower.

Small but oho !
"What costs nothing is nothing!" - suddenly Madame Glamour clearly lies. A truly fresh good mood scent for small money, noble and suitable for many occasions. Even if the bottle looks a bit cheap with its wobbly, sharp-edged metal ring and the ketchup bottle shape in mini version - the scent looks noble and expressive and you don't wear the scent around in the bottle, but spray it on formlessly. It may not be right for the heat, but at normal summer temperatures it is an uncomplicated companion. I like him, all right!

Delicious contrast programme
After hours of hiking in the hot sun through the mountains of my homeland, I enter an air-conditioned drugstore in a small town, buy water and test the green apple from Big Apple City. The deliciously refreshing scent molecules quickly conquer the room and two women become aware of them. You're asking me what smells so fresh and so great in here. I'll tell them and we'll talk. They have, it seems to me, only recently discovered their love for fragrances and apparently they are still a little ashamed to buy more perfume than they will be able to consume in the foreseeable future. Which is reasonable first of all...

I don't know if they bought the green apple, I bought it weeks later in a smaller bottle. Too beautiful was the refreshing scent that brought up in me the memory of Theodor Storm's fairy tale "Die Regentrude". Here the fireman scorching the meadows fights against the sleeping rain pack and the rich, greedy farmer against the poor, nature-loving Stine. Their courageous children then set off in secret early in the morning to find the rain joy and wake it up with the old secret saying: "Dunst is wave, dust is source...". They get themselves in the end, because the rich farmer has to realize that the value of his property in meadows and fields melts without rain like butter in the sun.

Perhaps there is a hunch somewhere in me about certain parallels to the present summer weather, which can almost be called creepy, and the childish idea of fighting it with a few sprays of fresh scent. I wish, and it'll work for a few seconds, won't it?

Roman Romanticism
Warm summer night, crickets chirp deafening lights on black cobblestone pavement in the nearby park, cooler white wine in misted glass, exhaust fumes, babble of voices, heated stones radiate city scent, for me too elegant - does not fit flat shoes. Nice to meet you.
