The Best Release 2020 ?! Something between sweet-fruity lime and triple flower
My last comment here was a felt eternity ago.
I simply had the desire to write a longer text about a fragrance and to be able to exchange something with all the nice perfumes.
Nevertheless, the fact that I'm finally writing a comment is mainly due to the fact that this fragrance fascinates and inspires me in a certain way.
I haven't had too much experience with the Atkinsons house yet, but the fragrance has definitely aroused my interest and I will test several more - that much is certain !
But now finally to the scent.
Most of all I am excited about the opening.
It combines an authentic, sweet and refreshing lime note with slightly hot ginger and a touch of eucalyptus.
These three notes are so wonderfully interwoven that I think the opening is so brilliant that I'm going to put it on my unofficial Top 10 list of all perfume openings I've ever tested.
But the scent is by no means linear, which in this case is a pity because of the great opening!
It develops into a triple flower - the top notes can only be guessed at after a while and an airy, light floral mixture of rose and orchid with a small amount of jasmine is formed.
The scent is now so light that it almost seems watery.
So far, so good!
However, even with this fragrance, unfortunately, there is a big minus point.
This is Sillage and durability.
With a maximum of 5 hours (rather less) is on my skin is the end and he is still quite close - so actually not a purchase candidate, but only really.
Let us now come to the headline I have chosen. In my eyes and from what I have tested so far this year, it is supposed to be the best fragrance or at least one of the best.
I like it very much because I find it unique, not synthetic (high quality) and very pleasant from the fragrance character !
In short: The expression "refreshingly different" is quite appropriate :)
I am just as fed up with synthetic bombs as I am with designer or niche products, which are unfortunately flooding the market.
Nevertheless, the durability or sillage means that I cannot love the fragrance unconditionally, but I have and will wear the fragrance very often this summer and it is currently one of my summer favourites. It has also greatly increased my interest in the Atkinsons brand, and perhaps paved the way for many more wonderful fragrances.

Simply different - a niche fragrance as it is in the book
Normally, I'm more of a man of long words, but with this fragrance I'd like to be brief today, which is not to say that it doesn't deserve a long text.
I have been extremely addicted to fragrances for several months now, testing new ones every day and regularly going to the perfumery to expand my collection. The first thing that came to my mind when I picked up Pegasus, which was lying under the Christmas tree for me, and sprayed it on was: It's different !
I personally have never smelled anything even close to this.
It's true, there's something metallic about it that I can't really grasp and that goes very well with the colour of the bottle. I also hear a present almond note, which is enveloped by the metallic. A lavender and heliotrope note is added to this.
An incredibly interesting combination. The base note consists mainly of vanilla and subtle woods. Good durability and Sillage ! Bottom line: Not for everyone, but definitely a niche fragrance as it is in the book. The only problem: When should you wear it? I could imagine him especially well in winter on upscale occasions.
It is definitely worth trying :)

Admittedly, he once convinced me to buy, but now I have to say that my enthusiasm is limited, which doesn't mean that Dior Homme cologne is a bad fragrance. The opening, which also convinced me to buy, consists for me mainly of a fragrance note: lemon! It is light, in the sense that it is not a heavy, but a fresh citric scent, but still potent, to the extent that one perceives the lemon chord quite clearly.
Behind this initial scent, which reminds me personally, strongly of freshly cut lemon, there is probably one thing hidden: bergamot! Unfortunately, it is also the bergamot note that makes the fragrance powdery and dry over time. That's all that's happening here. Definitely not worth buying for me, but not a bad smell either. The citric opening is fantastic, but in my opinion the still citric, bergamot shaped course is not pleasant.
Durability/Sillage
For a fresh fragrance average. However, I would have expected a little more from a Dior.
Conclusion
In the end it is more of a personal disappointment than an enrichment, but still not a bad scent.

Due to the characteristic fruity fresh note of the fragrance, it is definitely a summer fragrance for me, which I wear during the day, but which would also work in the evening (but there are clearly better ones).
To put it in a nutshell, especially with the rhubarb note, which I personally like very much, I find the fragrance really innovative and pleasant.
But it's quite fruity already and I think it's a bit over the target (the compensation by the woody notes isn't enough in my opinion). Still not a bad fragrance, in my opinion even the best Lacoste fragrance. However, I only recommend it if you are a rhubarb fan, as I am, or if you are looking for something really fruity (sweet) for the man in summer. Objectively speaking, the fragrance is a 7 for me, but as a rhubarb fanatic (okay, a bit hyperbolic) an 8 would also be conceivable.
Shelf life
The shelf life is satisfactory for a (Lacoste) fragrance in the price segment, but could be slightly better. With me he can do between 5 and 7 hours on the skin.
