Dreamlike beautiful fragrance
Oajan - A fragrance that I wanted to test for several years, but was always too lazy or let other fragrances take precedence and so Oajan had to wait a very long time. Now I got some time ago Oajan as a sample to an order in addition and thought at first, I would not see properly :D was there really an original sample of Oajan? DAMN, YES! As if they had known or guessed that I would like to test Oajan necessarily times :D My eyes began to sparkle brighter than any star hahaha.

But since I still had work to do, I postponed the test until the next day. The next day I grabbed the sample and sprayed me this on the arm and was actually fascinated! The fragrance meets my taste exactly and I'm actually thinking about whether I buy a bottle.

Fragrance
The fragrance starts cinnamony and sweet (will probably be the honey) and smells just so incredibly delicious and good. With me, however, it smells, unlike some other opinions here, not so blatant cinnamon that you think to have millions of cinnamon sticks hanging around your neck :D. I think the cinnamon is incorporated here quite nicely and dosed just right.

As the fragrance progresses, it remains cinnamony and sweet and other scents like benzoin and amber come in. Unfortunately, I don't know what labdanum smells like, so I can't say if I smell it or not. This mixture of cinnamon, honey, benzoin, amber, vanilla, etc. is really dreamy and soooo damn good!

When the fragrance fades out, you can smell really nice the vanilla and tonka, which is underpinned with slightly floral nuances (can you call it that?).

Funnily enough, I have in between the feeling to smell out here easily PDM Herod. Is probably because of the cinnamon, vanilla, tonka, etc. But this is not bad, on the contrary, I find it terrific!

Durability & Sillage
Durability and sillage are, as you would expect from PDM (in most cases anyway), really good! With me, the fragrance holds easily more than 10 hours on the skin. Also, the scent is still well perceptible from a few meters away.

@!Price / performance

As with all other perfumes, I am absolutely not satisfied with the price called and actually wonder why Oajan is more expensive than Herod? Herod you get depending on already for 130-160€ for 125ml. For me it is simply not understandable why some perfumes are more expensive than others at PDM and other brands, although these have almost the same theme, same ML number, same bottle (except vllt different color) etc.

But the performance is really good for the money paid, which you can expect, since the fragrance is not exactly a bargain or tip (for most anyway).

Flacon

The Oajan bottle I have unfortunately not yet seen in real life, but in pictures and videos. I really like this shiny black with the golden writing and golden cap. I like the PDM bottles anyway very well, because these are m.M.n. very high quality, robust and beautifully finished. PDM really makes a great effort with the flacons.

@!Occasion/season
For me personally, I see Oajan at almost all occasions d. h. work, going out, eating out, visits, dates, appointments, etc. Provided one does not exaggerate with the sprays and is economical.

In my opinion, even a suit wearer can wear this fragrance, properly dosed.

Unlike other opinions here, I see Oajan quite also in autumn, winter and cool spring days. Where I tend more to autumn and winter and is also well portable far from Christmas. As with all other perfumes, it always depends on the dosage. If you take there 1-2 sprays, you can wear the fragrance really very well in above seasons. Of course, if you take 5, 6, 7, 8, ... sprays, it is not surprising that the fragrance then slays you in certain seasons and at certain temperatures. Personally, I'm not a fan of huge fragrance clouds, so with me at the very most 3 sprays is the end, provided that the fragrance is of course not brutal as, for example, Grand Soir or PDM Carlisle.

@!Final word*
I find PDM Oajan really great and delicious and is next to Layton, Herod and Percival my new favorite, which will one day possibly move into my collection. I can now also understand very well why of all the 4 are the most popular from the house PDM.

Take me Oud and welcome to Dr. Alexandria II
Hello and come on in to the office of Dr. Alexandria II!

Alexandria II is, at least here on Parfumo, pretty well rated, so I had to test, as so often before, what is to this 'hype'. So ordered filling and waited and then it was so far, the filling landed in my mailbox.

Although I was curious, I had postponed the test to the next day, because I was on the day when the filling arrived, not really after perfume test.

Well... said, done!

Fragrance
When I sprayed the fragrance on my arm, I waited a few minutes and smelled it. It smelled very strongly medicinal! I thought this was the alcohol at first, so I waited some more, however nothing just changed at first! It continued to smell very strongly medicinal and I actually came to associate it with a doctor's office/hospital, which I am woefully familiar with. I actually felt as if I would sit in a treatment room at the doctor or in the hospital and wait for my treatment.

After some time, the medical smell receded a little and the scent became woody-sweetish, however, the medical smell (presumably oud)? also remained present and for hours, or until the smell is completely gone at some point.

From a certain time Alexandria II reminds me strangely easy to Parfums de Marly Carlisle, probably this is due to the vanilla and amber, but am not sure.

To put it in a nutshell:
I smell here more than clearly the oud, rosewood and lavender. The fruits I also smell, but not individually, but it smells just sweet. Cinnamon and rose I do not smell.

Flacon
Have the, like all other XerJoff Flakons, not yet seen in real or only the Naxos (since I now own) and find the bottles of XerJoff all very beautiful and high quality, there is really absolutely nothing to criticize or complain. Also the cap and sprayer are very nice.

Durability and Sillage
The longevity and sillage is really brutal here, I wouldn't have thought so myself. My arm still smells, although the test is already 2 days ago and I was already shower. I've actually never experienced anything like this before! The sillage is also brutal. One smells the perfume, despite 1 spray from a few meters away very strong and clear.

@!Price / performance

Why Alexandria II is more expensive than Naxos is indeed puzzling to me. I am not a fan of such high prices, even if the perfume is high quality and brutal. The performance is more than very good.

Trivia*
Take me Oud - "If it's your scent, keep the light on. Squeeze it, you're out."
Unfortunately, I have to put out the lamp because I absolutely do not like Alexandria II! The opening is absolutely awful and unbearable for me personally. The medicinal smell is awful and quite acrid in my nose. Even the drydown doesn't change anything, even if it is clearly more pleasant than the opening, but the oud, which is simply present from beginning to end, is just way too much for me.

I had also held the fragrance under the nose of others, the reactions were: "ihh go away, what is that?", "Boah that stinks, just go away!", "wash that off please, that stinks!" etc.

Even if one or the other would like to kill me now but exactly this thought I had the whole time. I had not washed it off, although it was unbearable for me, but I wanted to wait whether the smell still improves and if so, in how far.

Personally, I would not buy Alexandria II and I also do not advise anyone to buy the fragrance blindly, as the is really extraordinary and brutal.

Oud and I just don't become friends. I just can not gain anything from Oud and do nothing with it.

I like from the XerJoffs so far Amber Star and Naxos quite gladly, whereby I must really say that with me, as far as XerJoff is concerned, Amber Star on place 1 and Naxos on place 2.

Great fragrance for the office
Servus, Grüezi and hello to Germany, Austria and Switzerland! Here is your Fenice again!

Well, who of you still knows this greeting? Correct: bet that... :D

Fenice from somewhere at the A.... of the world bets: To me Elysium PC seems so familiar and yet completely different!

yes, I have once again great boredom! :-D

fragrance
Elysium Parfum Cologne starts, what' surprise, citrus! One smells very well and clearly the lemon, bergamot and lime out, which is nice and pleasant and not pungent or toilet cleaner / cleaner like. To my amazement, shortly after spraying on the red pepper also rises to my nose, in any case, it then tingles in the nose and I almost have to sneeze.

After some time I also perceive apple, May rose and very faintly black currant. Hach, what a beautiful fragrance!

Again some time later I smell cedar, benzoin, vanilla and musk, while the fragrance remains slightly citrusy all the time.

@!Reminder

Initially, Elysium PC reminds me of nothing at all familiar to me and if, then only minimally to the citrus top note as Creed uses it, for example, in Virgin Island Water. After some time, however, Elysium PC somehow seems familiar to me.... I had to think a little and then it occurred to me: Bleu de Chanel EdP! Because of the benzoin I have even very slight associations of the drydown of PDM Carlisle / XerJoff Amber Star but really only very light and short, vllt so 10 minutes? Then the fragrance begins again to go in another, independent direction.

Summary

Elysium PC starts very nice and mildly citrusy, then becomes citrusy-fruity and then citrusy-woody.

The fragrance has an interesting progression. For me, it is first independent, then it smells like Bleu de Chanel EdP, very faintly like Carlisle / Amber Star and then independent again. Yes, very slightly soapy but is that bad? NO!

@!Sillage / durability
Sillage and durability are mediocre. It lasts a working day ie 8 hours through, with the sillage and durability hour after hour noticeably decreases and the fragrance becomes weaker and weaker. How far the fragrance radiates, I do not know, have never tested it.

@!Price / performance

I hate to say it, but P/L is more bad than good here. That is not to say that the fragrance is bad, it is not at all! But for what the fragrance offers d. h. the durability and sillage, it is absolutely not worth the price! This is about Elysium PC and not about the perfume!

One smells here but clearly the high-quality ingredients (fragrance notes).

@!Final words
Elysium PC is a very nice, clean fragrance that fits perfectly in all seasons and is great for the office and appointments. Likewise, however, for going out to eat and other activities.

@!Thanks*
Thanks to VintageGold for the bottling :)

Perfect for a holiday on the beach
Haaaallooooooo and welcome to a new review of a XerJoff fragrance!

Before I start, a quick question:

Question:Mirror, mirror on the wall, which is the best Caribbean perfume in this country?

Answer: Yes hello first of all, I don't even know if you already knew, but Creed Virgin Island Water is the best Caribbean perfume in this country! .......... Although.... if I'm being honest: There's a perfume that's a thousand times nicer than Virgin Island Water, it's called XerJoff - Naxos and it's based in Italy!

XerJoff - Naxos, is it? If I can get my hands on that lad...!

Preface:
XerJoff... a niche brand that is on par with Parfums de Marly, Creed and co. and is at least as hyped, despite the sometimes steep and salty prices you have to pay here.

Are the prices justified? Is the hype justified? Well, that's for everyone to decide for themselves. I from my point of view can say one thing: XerJoff is definitely very high quality! As for the hype: I'm not a big fan of any hypes. Everyone should form their own opinion and decide.

Fragrance:
The fragrance starts defitinitv Lavendelig and a little citrus. Very quickly a coconut note comes in (why actually? I find nowhere coconut as a fragrance note or am I blind?) which is accompanied by delicate honey and cinnamon. The honey here is definitely not as strong as in Cartier L'Envol, but really nice and delicate and mild. The lavender and citrusy disappears for me after about 10-15 minutes and makes way for the other scents mentioned above. How cashmere smells, I unfortunately do not know, so I can not say exactly whether I smell it or not.

The mixture of tobacco, tonka bean and vanilla, which later appears after some time, I find here, by the way, also really nice, although the coconut smell remains present throughout. Not only the tobacco, but all fragrance notes are here really nice pleasant and delicate, nothing is annoying, nothing dances out of line, just perfectly created!

The fragrance is also slightly sweet and creamy but no sugar bomb! I've actually never smelled anything like this (on anyone).

Now for my comparison from way back at the beginning:
XerJoff - Naxos actually smells like Creed - Virgin Island Water, or rather reminds me a lot of it, only much much better and more pleasant. With VIW, the extremely strong, penetrating coconut has disturbed me, here with Naxos, on the other hand, the coconut is throughout beautifully pleasant and mild and does not take over the complete helm, but very nicely shares space with the other fragrance notes, which makes for a wonderful combination.

Naxos only reminds me of VIW, however, I have never smelled Naxos on anyone, even though Naxos seems to be very popular and is constantly sold out.

Sillage & durability:
Both really very good, which one may well expect with such a fragrance and price! For me, each fragrance lasts more than 8 hours on the skin, but every person and every skin is different, so it's hard to say how long a fragrance lasts.

Occasion:
XerJoff - Naxos is really perfect for summer and a vacation on a beautiful beach. Possibly also for business, although I am unsure. I see the fragrance rather at a walk, vacation, going out to eat, vllt also a date (everything in the summer).

Flacon:
Unfortunately, I had until today still no flacon of XerJoff in the hand, however, always on the Internet and in videos seen and find this really very beautiful, high-quality and pittoresque.

Recommendation:
Definitely! Especially for the summer or a holiday in the sun, on a beach etc.

Whether I will/would buy Naxos? I don't know! The fragrance is really not bad, but I'm not a big summer fan and I'm indoors most of the time in summer, because I do not tolerate heat well, so I would probably use Naxos only very rarely and for that he is then just standing around, it's too bad and expensive, so I'll stick to bottlings for now.

Thanks:
Thanks to Memento20 for the bottling!

By the way, if you want to read a really nice description of Naxos (if you haven't already) you should check out 2020Antiope's, really nice and aptly described and a thousand times better than I ever could!

Trivia:
If I were to spray on Naxos, turn on relaxing music with ocean sounds, sit back and close my eyes, I'd probably feel like I'm on a beautiful beach :D The scent + the ocean sounds + thoughts of a beautiful white beach with turquoise-blue water and coconut palms, hach, just beautiful.

Yes, ok, enough raving :D I'm also slowly zisch then again, see you soon!

One scent - many memories!
When I saw a few weeks ago that soon a new fragrance comes out and this has the theme of vanilla (OH GOD, I LOVE VANILLE!!) I had the fragrance immediately put on the watch list and could hardly wait until this is available so I can get me a bottling.

Well, a few days ago I had then seen that bottlings are offered here and fackelte not long and ordered me immediately one.

Yesterday, the bottling finally arrived, but since it was too warm for me yesterday to test perfume, I waited until today, since today the temperatures were rather pleasant / cool. So I grabbed the bottling today, sprayed on and immediately brought my fat olfactory bulb in position :D

Scent
Immediately after spraying on you can smell the lemon and orange, but only for about 2 minutes, then this scent takes a bit of a back seat and something spicy, warm, vanilla comes out.

I could actually smell out almost all the fragrance notes here ie lemon, orange, pink pepper, cardamom, vanilla, rum, cocoa and sandalwood. How patchouli smells, I still do not know exactly...

This may sound silly, but that's exactly the order in which you can actually smell the scents.

""To put it more precisely"":
Vanilla Diorama starts citrusy and then slowly becomes spicy-warm i.e. the pink pepper and cardamom then take over. After a few more minutes, vanilla, rum and cocoa join in, with the vanilla keeping a low profile at first and only gradually getting stronger. At some point it becomes vanilla-woody-spicy. I strongly suspect that this is an interplay of the rum, vanilla and sandalwood. The rum here doesn't come across as alcoholic at all like in Spiritueuse Doubla Vanille, for example, but somehow comes across as spicy-woody and quite diluted, as if someone diluted the rum with a lot of water to tone it down. I also somehow smell a tiny hint of cinnamon here, though it's not listed anywhere. Either there really is a tiny bit of cinnamon in there, or it's from the rum.

So the scent starts citrusy, then becomes spicy-vanilla-woody, and towards the end the scent becomes sweet and even powdery, reminding me of a whole bunch of other perfumes, hence my headline.

""Scents Vanilla Diorama reminds me of"":
- MFK - Grand Soir (without resin, benzoin and much, much milder)
- XerJoff - Amber Star (just very, very light)
- Guerlain - Cuir Beluga (because of the vanilla and powderiness)
- Guerlain - Spiritueuse Double Vanille (because of spicy-woody, vanilla / rum)
- The Merchant of Venice - La Fenice (also because of the vanilla, powderiness and sweetness)

It actually feels to me like Vanilla Diorama is a blend of all the above fragrances, in that exact order, all gradually making their appearance in altered and toned down form. And I can also very much understand and relate to the comparisons with MFK Grand Soir, since, as mentioned above, it does indeed start out reminiscent of Grand Soir (only without the resin and benzoin and much less aggressive), due to the slight cinnamon smell (which both have, though no cinnamon listed) and the vanilla spiciness.

While I don't find Vanille Diorama to be anything special or anything I haven't smelled before in other fragrances, I still think Vanille Diorama is incredibly great, especially for vanilla fans, it's worth a try!

""Season"":
I would actually argue that you can wear Vanilla Diorama in all seasons, except in summer (if, then only in the evening when it cools down).

""Occasions"":
Vanilla Diorama can be properly dosed easily wear to all conceivable occasions, whether professional or private, whether for dinner or date. I can not imagine with the best will in the world, where Vanilla Diorama is inappropriate, except possibly at a heavy metal concert o. ä.

""Sillage & Durability""
As is known, the durability and sillage on my skin is every time 8+ hours, here also. One smells even hours later still the perfume from a few meters away.

""Flacon"":
Well... plain and simple but still not inferior. It does not always have to be pompous, sometimes it is enough just plain and simple to still look high quality.

""Recommendation"":
Clearly yes! The price is set a little too high, because it is nothing new but still high quality and worth a test or purchase (if you like vanilla and sweetish).

""Words of thanks""
Many thanks to MoeJoe for the bottling :)
