The headline summarizes the fragrance in one sentence: If you start to deal with fragrances in private you will sooner or later come across the so-called "Cheapies" - and these are not only supposed to be cheap fragrances...if you want cheap, you go to the nearest drugstore and buy something from Adidas or Bruno Banani...but what you get for a questionable quality and durability is another matter.The "Cheapies" are supposed to be fragrances that are quite cheap, and with a very good P/L ratio, so some people claim that you get more quality than you actually pay for the fragrances, which is an illusion because they are less overpriced compared to the others.Starting with the bottle, which I like very much, and which embodies the fragrance very well, to the unique scent character, and that's it, because the scent itself is neither attractive/satisfying/inviting nor versatile. cashmere wood gives it a nice soft, nutty character, but the vetiver used here in combination with the cypress has a slightly repulsive, medicinal touch.It is only penetrating when you smell the fragrance from 5cm away, but that's not so bad, because in the air the medicinal component is more difficult to smell, or even impossible if you don't have a close look at the fragrance.

Perfumes are supposed to be a nice addition, which you can do without at any time, without losing your "masculinity" or "attractiveness".And the numbers speak for themselves: people want to "smell good" and get compliments for it, that's why Dior Sauvage is still a bestseller: because it's good and serves its purpose.It took me a while to understand that the perfume ratings don't quite match reality, and that many people here rate the reputation and status of the brands, and that high-priced niche fragrances with good packaging are rated better than they are, etc. Conclusion: Because of its popularity and mass appeal, I see Sauvage as being ahead of 7.6 (even ahead of Fahrenheit with 8.1?!) and I find an overall fragrance rating of 8 very appropriate and fair.
