The One that got away...
A subtle yet glorious true wet stargazer/ "Easter" lily that is both solemn and filled with proper religious association and yet sensual, haunting and zen-like blended with just a pinch of clove and pepper grounding it like an afternoon naked hookah party in an English garden. I yearn for her return, like my miss spent youth. One of only 5 out of 50 fragrances I have ever been complemented on wearing by a total stranger. At this point I would give up 45 of the 50 fragrance I own for a full sealed bottle. The one that got away....

Night in Tunisia
Mimosa Martini is like a seduction in an exotic land. The over all effect is that of a meditation incense wafting through a villa window on a balmy evening. This fragrance is undeniably seductive as well as potent, persistent and yet "natural"/ non-toxic smelling. The Voluspa line is surprising economically auspicious as well as voluptuous and long lasting. Resinous incense dominates the heart of this fragrance, in spite of the name. I sparkling top note of green clean citrusy grapefruit entices initially, followed by and symphonic tuberose that is pure, creamy and haunting. I would call this an "insense fragrance...

Young Spice
Bergamot Blossom comes across as a bold spicy fresh scent, to my nose more sustainable on a man than a woman (in general, I do not share my gender observations but given the name of the fragrance might be somewhat off putting to a man, I am here to say "give it a try boys!"). Very hard for me to tease out a solitary bergamot note in this concoction, but what I do get is an overall sense of high quality ingredients and high concentration absolute of labdanum & bergamot which give an almost 'oily' and slightly boozy impression. I see this as not particularly mind blowing stuff, but eminently wearable and well constructed. The sillage is about 8-12 inches (20 cm+) off my skin for well over 4 hours. So if you're balking at the aristocratic price tag, consider that this is good strong long lasting - like Grapa versus Pinot Grigio, for example. This has the potential to be a day into evening transition scent, as it opens up further after the first hours into a bit more resinous and sultry spiciness. Bergamot blossom could easily be somebody's effortlessly stylish year round signature because I definitely would wear this more in the Fall and Winter versus Spring and Summer and many others have rated this as more of a Spring and Summer scent- so year round, for sure. Bergamot Blossom's fresh spicy top reminds me a little bit of D&G Anthology "Le Fou" with out the violet, juniper and minus the woody base notes. It seems to be a modern streamlined eclectic take on the traditionally complex bergamot compositions...not bad at all.

The Great Paper Caper!
Iso-E-Super...This smells NOTHING like paper anywhere in the known universe...yet strangely it does remind me of "Paper Passion"--- which also smells nothing like any paper I've ever come across. I guess it's the Cherry Cough Drop Dilemma or the Banana Flavored Candy Debacle or the Green-Apple Jolly Rancher Conspiracy. This is the great Paper Caper! 'If you can't be with Molecule 01...love this at about half the price. Harsh- synthetic musk meets a synthetic low quality woody dry cedar and a short-lived raunchy hour of passion ensues...what was his name? No matter, it's not likely I would recognize him if we passed on the street in broad daylight.

Totally Un-Whatever...
Demeter's Dirt+ D&G Light Blue...can't go wrong, but for me can't go right. I don't go for a pretty face like a million other pretty faces...there has to be something unique, comical, cynical, insightful...I'll even go for rude...has to have a twist...this is 'all about that base...that base...that base..." with no top notes. I happen to really dislike this base- so it doesn't make sense for me to buy it as a base to blend with my other Commodity choices. It's very common, gender neutral sort of ISO and Egyptian Musk with some cedar a tiny bit of oakmoss- though I struggle to detect it- and petigrain...things most people dig- hap-hazardously thrown together like my dirty laundry pile/Goodwill pile- whatever...this fragrance says "I don't care if I live, love or drown today...I am just here. Blah!
