A Crisp Citrus & Lily
This begins with a mouth watering juicy zest of fresh squeezed lemon on vodka over ice. There is no trace of sugary sweetener, but I detect a fizzy note and a brief zest of orange- almost sparkling. Within about 5 minutes a very green Lily note- but so natural, I feel I have just clipped the stem of a lily from the garden and inhaled deeply. This lily note melts into the bergamot so smoothly, effortless and gently comes to rest on a very soft cashmeran bit of woods. After drydown, I find the citrus has become feather soft leaving the lily to dominant with the bergamot and woods in the background. This has a low sillage (approximately .25 meter), meaning I can't smell it unless I move or wave my arm, but when I do pick up a whiff it is so pleasant and sunny, I am charmed again. I think this is clean without a soapy note and very fresh in the base the woody note eventually becomes a little spicy, powdery on my skin- a little sultry up close and provides an extra 2 hours or so of longevity- for a total of about 6 hours very comfortable finish. I would call this a perfect summer unisex daytime business or casual scent, well-tailored and full of dynamic positive energy. I would reach for this daily in the warm Summer months.

Shockingly Refreshing & Clean Chypre
Typically, when I see the word "Gin" in reference to a fragrance I am almost already preparing my exit strategy. This doesn't seem like it would work for the office or daily use, nor would I want to be accused of wreaking of gin, really in any situation. But as I am discovering with the house of Lubin, take these names apply them in an abstract way. Gin Fizz starts out with an initial bracing blast of juniper and zesty lemon that recedes to the middle within the first 10 minutes for me. Next comes that delightful bergamot and mandarin expertly entwined with the light orange blossom. At this stage the fragrance floats about with good sillage of about 1 meter (3.28 ft.) radius for the next 2-3 hours. As Gin Fizz gets to the dry down, it settles into a lovely clean laundry note created jasmine and rose juxtaposed with a touch of earthy iris, white musk, oakmoss and galbanum to give this a density and complexity that surpasses other clean laundry type scents of lesser craftsmanship. The longevity on this is quite astounding after 8 hours it was still quite strong and fresh on my skin, never turning sour or veering off into one single note. This strikes me as a beautiful unisex daytime scent of citrus, herbs and laundry with a pinch of grounding earth for someone who absolutely wants to smell just showered and freshly laundered for 12 hours. This is an energizing and invigorating type of scent with excellent structural complexity and persistence.

Powdery Milky Cotton Paper
This is very soft powdery and comfortable. I like to wear it to bed sometimes. It's a no strings attached low sillage cotton flower, rice paper and milk fragrance that disappears within 2-3 hours. But very economical and pleasant. I don't detect the Magnolia, personally, but I'm not an expert on the floral notes. It reminds me of L'occitane's Milk Shea Butter Soap fragrance or Pre de Provence's Milk Soap fragrance with just a touch of Demeter's dirt note. I'll probably always keep it in my collection because it's so cozy and easy to wear.

Quite Alluring, Actually
Well, this is very interesting indeed. This is a sheer, translucent, clean but not soapy resinous, herbal concoction. I'll call it unisex, but I have a feeling it would really compliment a sharp dressed man more. The Bamboo, Bay leaf and fir resin are quite detectable for the first 15 minutes...the hyacinth is singing backup and providing that clean floral note which is sort of the glue in this composition. This is definitely office, daytime appropriate probably too light for winter but possibly a 3-season daily scent best in Spring and Fall and I tend to be conservative with that endorsement. There is something strong and confident about this without being brash. After about 30 minutes a touch of wood appears - it becomes very grounding and peaceful. I don't think anyone would be offended by this scent and I don't think anyone would recognize it unless they have memorized the entire CdG line. I'm pleasantly surprised by this, since the notes give me cause for pause and seem like this should be a hot mess of synthetic accords. It is surprising natural like a centaur leaping through the magical forest.

Air Sickness Bag Please!
This starts out with a large blast of Vodka accord followed by a Juniper/Gin note and bitter lemon rind. This seems hard, herbal and icy to me. Quicky this morphs into an ISO Super-E , Lime and Pepper situation, very much like Escentric 01. Probably better on a man but with a respectable sillage that could work for either day or night attire. There's a little wood in the drydown that I am unfamiliar with, but not enough to ground this into a wearable scent for me personally. That synthetic Frankincense note really overwhelms me and I feel like the flight attendant has just encountered turbulence and spilled a tray of Gin & tonics all over my lap. This is not loud but it is distinctly unpleasant unless you like that juniper-Neroli-Frankincense trio. Overall I wouldn't mind smelling this on a male co-worker at the office as long as I was secure in the knowledge that we would not be trapped in the elevator together. However, if I was sitting on a plane wearing this I would make a B-line to the cramped little restroom as soon as the "fasten seat belt sign" went off to scrub it.
