Betsey Johnson is known for her past entrance into the fashion industry and in 2006 she came out with this fragrance. Because the fragrance totally represents her spunkiness i wouldn't expect anything less.
Pro's:
This is a fruity gourmand fragrance that totally reminds me of Christmas. It's got spice and its got vanilla but what makes it unique is the citrus with the prailines..so it has that L from Loleta Lempicka same family vibe in the feel of this fragrance. It is not exactly like L but it has that same vibe. Also this is extremely sweet so you may only need one spray..two might take you over the edge and it lasts for awhile so be ready..its above average in longevity. The bottle has this artistic cap. The fragrance is very very fresh,spicy and vibrant.

Con's: The cap is delicate so be very careful..its made of plastic and can be easily snapped and it has been discontinued so grab it while you can. The fragrance may come off as too youthful and simple to some. Becareful how much you spray this it can induce headaches.

So overall..i love this fragrance..it is so me it's not even funny...i love gourmands and this definately is one..if you love citrus and vanilla with some spice you will love it and the price is affordable..get it while you can..this simple gem is one of my tops just because the scent lures me into happiness every time.

Well i must say i was into the hype when i bought this one..and i really love the bottle. It is my second favorite from the Bond house thus far but i still have many more to try. So let's get into the Pro's and Con's shall we?
Pro's:
This is a classy and fun gourmand. Right off the bat you can smell a powdery candy scent and i kid you not it is just like pezz candy and it almost is sour in a sense. On top of that it is floral with the wonderful gardenia's and its blended quite well..not obnoxious at all as some gardenia fragrances can be..but another favorite note that it has that i adore is cardamom which makes this fragrance not only sweet but very spicey...so this is a sweet and spicey fragrance! The patchouli does not come off as loud so if your looking for a gourmand fragrance that the patch is turned down i think this would be a wonderful choice and it does last long.
Con's: I think once again the price is too high for this fragrance because even though it lasts long the sillage is not as strong as the other Bonds. I do wish the sillage lasted as long as the fragrance did but it does last at least. I don't have really much bad to say about this fragrance because it is of better quality i just wish they weren't so dang expensive but cie la vie!
I do like this fragrance but i don't go for it much so even though i love the scent i probably won't repurchase unless i crave for it in the future but i do think it is a worthy purchase just because i love the scent and can see it being a scent many would love..from the description it sounds like it would compete against fracas but i don't know if it smells similar to it but the notes sound similar and i heard fracas has that same pezz candy vibe going on too. So i definitely say try it or buy it it is worth a sniff and it does smell good enough to own it in comparison to many other fragrances out there.

This fragrance is one of my tops of my all time favorites. So with any other that i love i will probably be very partial to this fragrance but still try to list the pro's and con's.Here we go.
Pro's:This is a beast of a fragrance. Even though it is a gourmand it leans more on the masculine side but i adore the fragrance so much i wear it. I love lavender and i love maple syrup what is not to love about smelling like breakfast! Ok ok maybe you don't want to smell like breakfast at some occasions but you know what this smells so good i don't really care! But when you first spray this off the bat you smell the fresh coffee and i mean like coffee beans coffee but it is not a strong smell of coffee its just right and then the lavender is the second biggest note you smell before the maple syrup. Because it has this strong note of lavender it really comes off as something you smell on a man easily but for those looking for a breakfast scent how can you not want to try this unisex fragrance. The sillage is wonderful and the longevity is amazing. It is very comforting and the bottle is gorgeous. This is part of Bond's original series so the bottles come in the plain glass but i think in my opinion it should of remained there because they really come off more classy in the original bottles..kinda the way you feel when you see a Chanel.The box is also very lovely and well made with the history detail inside in that sense you do get what you paid for.
Con's: I think the Bond line is way to over priced for their fragrances but that is just me...although this fragrance is worth every penny because it at least does give you everything you are looking for..with that though since it is a beast of a fragrance it may put you off for the first week you smell it and then you will adapt but this fragrance will be so new to your senses you will have to adapt to it and this happens at times and once that boat is over you totally love it so give it some time but if you don't get over it that is still $200 bucks lost out of some peoples pockets if they can't return it for any reason. Ya so you better test this out before you buy it to know its worth the purchase.
Overall, I think New Haarlem is worth the purchase personally because i love it..i do wish the prices were lower but hey that is the way it is but you can go to other online sources and get it cheaper like i did so not all is lost but its still gonna cost you a pretty penny..but if your a gourmand lover this baby is a keeper for life!

What is there to say about Alien Absolue.
Well first off...i adore Alien and just when i thought i began to love Womanity more lately I am really starting to become more fond of Alien. Alien Absolue is no exception. So let's get started with the Pro's and Con's.
Pro's:
Alien Absolue is more of the heart and base of the original Alien fragrance.It starts out with the amazing Jasmine but then it quickly transforms into the delicious Vanilla and Amber and stays there for the remainder of the fragrance.It is very similar to Angel Liquor 2009 so much so i am happy they have released it if you loved Alien liquor 2009 but couldn't get it. If you feel the original Alien was too sharp for you this release is a crowd pleaser and will not offend. The bottle is gorgeous and unique with its golden yellow liquid. I think this fragrance is worth the purchase if you have never tried Alien and couldn't handle the original.
Con's:
I found that when i tried this in person at the mall it was more intense than what i received from the Mugler online store and i mean seriously an all together fragrance than what i received..what i tested smelled more of like a pure parfume version versus what i got..which disappointed me a lot. I was expecting the same intensity and did not get it. Which makes me really question what happened outside with lighting vs pure parfums offered on displays for testing versus the what you really receive which is only an EDP version..it's not unheard of and is used as a marketing technique to lure the customer to buy the fragrance. I have heard many cases of this happening versus how something is stored...a person knows their fragrances if they have smelled them and been around them long enough...I know, I know a real shocker but don't be surprised when this happens to you because it does happen at times..people will tell you its lighting but its not..just go online and you will see many people complain of the same thing and many insiders admit that this is done at times..don't let it ruin your over all fragrance experience..just keep on moving to the next fragrance.. Anyways..so outside of that major disappointment...the fragrance did not win me over from what i originally smelled at the counter..what i smelled at the counter was so intense and extreme it surpassed the original Alien because the Vanilla and Amber were so intense and so long lasting that it left such an impression on me that i had to buy it and waited patiently to finally get it like a little kid getting their first toy LOL...but seriously it was that good and then what i got was just a basic EDP. Which is fine but it didn't wow me. In the end i feel that my Alien Liquor from 2009 is better than what i got..in matter of fact the original Alien is better than this and now i feel like i should have gotten the original Alien instead and probably will when i get a chance just to make myself feel better about the whole ordeal LOL. You know how us women are!Plus i wish we got more for what we paid for meaning i wish they had it in 3-3.4 full oz's versus only 2oz's now. And if you really love this fragrance you will wish that too!
So...I think Absolue is a wonderful fragrance overall especially for those who can't stomach the original Alien and if you love Vanilla and Amber your going to adore this fragrance and I may keep it as an addition to my collection just in case i can't get Alien Liquor 2009 anymore being one it's a limited edition and they don't make it anymore and two that the 2013 version of Alien Liquor has changed its notes slightly and its not the same as 2009 and Alien Absolue is the closest thing to it that i can get permanently from the Mugler line. But i prefer the original classic Alien over this version and do not believe it is more intense than the original version and think they should have named it something other than intense because over all this is a more wearable version than the original but to me the original is more wearable because i love loud fragrances because to me in my opinion they last longer and your definitely going to have a better experience with the sillage overall. But because this will be a crowd pleaser i know this will be a success and hit for the Mugler fans. As with any Mugler fragrances though you will not be disappointed it will be worth the money..you get what you pay for. It is long lasting and the sillage is good versus the old the sillage is great. But with this one you may disagree and feel like the sillage is just right because the original is very loud so you will know what suits you the best! Enjoy!

With all Thierry Mugler fragrances you usually will never be dissapointed with the quality of the fragrance and for the most part i can say the same about this fragrance but i will tell you my pro's and con's of what i think about this creation..
Pro's:
It is just as stunning as the original Angel but there is something better about this fragrance and it is the liquor that has been added to this a cognac with aged wood. What this does to the fragrance is make it more juicier..its still rich like the other with the patchouli,chocolate,vanilla and spice..but it calms it down a bit to make this more juicy rich than thick rich if that makes sense. Also the best part about it is that the liquor with the wood makes it smell like a cherried wood. And because of this process it actually last longer and fresher than the original. So if your looking to get an Angel i really prefer and recommended it. Now for the Con's.
Con's: If you already have Angel this is almost so close to the original i don't see the point in owning it unless your set on collecting it. I do think its better in my opinion than the original so i would stock up on this and buy two bottles of it since it is so small and since you don't know if they will change the notes for next year as i have heard they have done this year with Alien liquor in comparison to 2009. So in that sense grab it it's wonderful but if you don't care for that and your looking for something brand new this isn't that brand new but it is a better version of Angel. So you decide if you want to spend the extra money. Had i known about this fragrances quality before i just bought the original Angel i would have saved my money and bought this. I love the liquor lines more than the originals they are of better quality. But if finances are an issue and you are being selective and have Angel already you can get this and swap your old Angel for something else in your collection or buy this only if you don't have Angel or just save yourself the money because it is not that different but it is a little bit better.
So overall...i think the fragrance is fabulous i mean its Angel..its an iconic classic that everyone owns or have tried and it is worth the money if you don't have it already as a first time purchase and i do prefer it over the original but with that said don't expect much of a big difference for those who do have it already. The bottle looks gorgeous and as a collector i think its a nice addition to your collection but i would check if it really is all that different from your previous purchase of liquor to see if its worth purchasing this years addition.
