pretty brave for the coward
There are really very few fragrances that give me a wow effect. I like a lot of them and I really like a lot of them. However, this is one of those places where I can't smell enough of it and where I always catch myself sniffing at myself. This happens to me mainly with scents that are either more gourmand or have a certain depth and a "dark" side (Dior Homme Intense, to name one).
Balade Sauvage is bright, fresh, slightly sweet, authentic. A perfect fragrance for spring & summer. But anyone who believes that this one here will be just another one of these bergamot monsters smells like 100 others of its kind is wrong. Either I found a new fragrance for myself that made it into my favorites in no time or Dior is one of the few who created an extremely pleasant fig fragrance.
This is exactly what makes him so unique for me and what makes him smell like no other.
This has a simply bewitching and addictive effect on me.
And I only got wind of Balade Sauvage when I got my Ambre Nuit, which had been on my wish list for a long time, and a small 7.5ml miniature was there. Without great expectations, I wore it a few times until I received comparatively many compliments within a very short time. I started to love him more and more myself and after 2 weeks it was clear - I have to have that!

Balade Sauvage contributes a great deal to gradually removing me from darker & sweeter scents and finding my way in freshness & lightness.
You can wear it perfectly Casual but also for serious & upscale occasions perfectly suitable.
Shelf life & Sillage are for a fresh fragrance completely ok and good average.
The fragrance itself is for me a smooth 10 - absolute favorite in my collection!
I am surprised that he is not really "known" or like so many others he is hyped, he deserves it more than many others.

The adult Le Male
The similarity in the opening to JPG's Le Male can't be denied. This minty, slightly sweet and metallic, which opens right at the beginning. But not identical to Le Male, only very similar - Le Male plays here on the playful, youthful side, while Reflection Man takes on the more serious and reserved side. Nevertheless I wouldn't see Amouage Reflection as "highly sophisticated", but rather as casual - although you can certainly wear it in your suit without looking at it crooked.
Signature scent? For me less but by his scent DNA I wouldn't see it as "impossible". Simply timeless, clean & fresh - it always goes down well and you can wear it all year round. Both in Tshirt with jeans, and in white business shirt with suit trousers.
In the drydown, the minty disappears somewhat and makes room for a depth brought forth by the sandalwood, which is not to be found at Le Male. That grade makes him more manly, more mature.

The durability seems to be average despite the experience of many others with me, so 5-6 hours are in it. Projection & Sillage also average I would say, whereby this disturbs me less with a smell of this kind and in certain situations is even desired.
Reflection Man was my second niche fragrance after Layton and I now know why it is classified and praised by everyone as one of the most mass-suited niche fragrances - simply because it is not particularly complex and is also liked by "simple noses", which is not always the case with expensive fragrances.
Do I like wearing it? Anyway, I really like him.
Would I buy it again for 170€? Hardly, there are better & cheaper alternatives for me.

From the niche of a dark teen store
One or the other (but certainly the majority here) will now curl their hair. A relatively decent perfume collection with even some of the best-known niche fragrances and then of all things Hollister's Kiddie fragrance as the signature fragrance. May they resent me to the death.

Certainly the prehistory contributed a little bit to it, because So Cal was my first fragrance ever and with it my big hobby began. At that time I had only him for a long time and wore him summer and winter, school and date. Now, of course, I don't use So Cal as often - not because I'd like it less, but because my collection has many new members now (although I have to admit that I think I can smell a reformulation to the bottle I bought in 2010).

Nevertheless, I find that here you have a very good example of a place where you should for a short moment ignore the brand of the manufacturer and make your judgement about the juice without any prejudices. Since I'm not a Hollister fanboy myself (and never was) and I don't celebrate the clothes or any other Hollister scent, I was impressed by So Cal from the beginning. A sweet scent, pineapple, a little heavier, but still suitable for the whole year. I didn't have a similar scent DNA under my nose yet, so I didn't have any usual 0815 scent.

Unlike the other creations of Hollister I think that this one is justified for the price and not, as usual, a 5€ water from Rossman with a logo of a hyped teen brand on it and sold for 20 times. As already mentioned above, this fragrance would come from a conventional, well-known designer brand and a bit more expensive on the market - nobody would probably complain (above all, the fragrance would then have become so popular - so it is ignored by many because many Hollisters do not like or take seriously).

The durability is not at all bad, I get about 5-7 hours with it. Projection & Sillage are also neat. So Cal even shows a real fragrance, what you wouldn't expect for a perfume of this brand - if it is seductively sweet at the beginning by the pineapple, so this lies down with time and he gets darker and a bit harsher and the leather gets through a bit.
The sweet would be associated as "youthful", but I find So Cal for everyone under 30 really good to wear.

It's my right that this fragrance isn't more established, so despite "cheap" perfume one smells relatively unique.
ps: Hard to beat as a room fragrance!

Seduction in 125 or 250ml
Since the comments to this fragrance are very sparse here, I dare to tell you my own little story about this miracle here.
Totalpled, smelled - wow. This was the first fragrance in my collection (if only a sample) to rise out of my perfume segment and look down on the "traditional" designer mass fragrances.
Since I never intended to buy Dior Ambre Nuit at this time, simply because the price is mildly expressed, somewhat elevated, my 10ml stayed very long in the back of my collection and I didn't even wear it, but sprayed a few droplets on my hand every now and then to have some of this miracle at home for hours on end

2 weeks ago there was a "stupid" coincidence - stupid not for my nose but for my purse, because I bought myself on ebay a still 2/3 filled 250ml bottle at a very good price. Much more than I'll ever need from this perfume but now I finally don't have to use it so sparingly anymore.
I wouldn't have bought this new one, because Dior "wisely" fills its bottles from the Privè line so big that the next 2 generations will get something out of it.
I read once that there are also 40ml bottles of them, but they should be very hard to get, because they are only available in France(?).

Seconds after spraying, a pleasant, fresh warmth comes over me. This may sound like a contradiction in terms, but the spicy, slightly peppery & aromatic fragrance lends the fragrance a very special "warmth" - one that comes closer & tempts you to cuddle. Despite this, Ambre Nuit has a lightness and is by no means a heavy fragrance for the winter). The "warmth" is rather symbolic in the head, just as I have it with La Nuit de l'homme when I smell it. Simply spicy, aromatic, romantic, very sensual and yet masculine. At Ambre Nuit I get a touch of a Coca Cola, but this is in no way negative or inferior, but meant in a very luxurious way.

For me it is one of my favourite perfumes and simply very successful. The perfect perfume to elegantly dine or dance in the evening, for dates, sophisticated occasions or sensual moments for two.
Certainly to wear during the day but I personally wear it only in the evening and only when I am in female company - for everything else it is too sensual & romantic for me

I get from Ambre Nuit a very good shelf life and Sillage. You don't need much, because the scent tempts you to come closer all by itself. Another plus point, which now has more to do with the price than with the perfume itself - you smell very unique and you don't smell like everybody else. I don't know any other perfume that even comes close to this fragrance DNA.
But yes, this can be paid Dior very well - although I must say that it is worth the price to me, not even perfume enthusiasts recognize the high quality in it.

Dior Ambre Nuit - a fragrance you can put in my coffin.

the pepper mill for fashion victims
one thing first of all, for this perfume you have to be an absolute lover of spicy fragrances. Dior Sauvage has been in my closet for some years and at the beginning I didn't dare to wear it in public for quite a while, because I got such a negative comment right at the beginning, that I didn't know if anyone would like it myself.
At that time Sauvage was more of a blind buy and by being hyped everywhere without end, I thought I couldn't do anything wrong with it.
The very first comment to this fragrance was: "ihh, he smells disgusting! Has it expired? It's disgusting, that stench..."
After that I wore it only for myself more often at home and actually liked it, even though I was still insecure.
Although it is very spicy and peppery and one or the other may perhaps even notice a kind of sting in the nose after spraying (which can be attributed to Ambroxan) but this note subsides after some time and there remains a fresh, spicy & aquatic fragrance, which is very intense, ultralong and gives an exceptionally good projection.

With Sauvage you run the risk of catching too much of a good thing and you should be careful with the trigger, especially if you spend the rest of your day in closed rooms, because it can happen that one or the other colleague sometimes stands in front of the open window sash, signalling.

Outside however quite well portable, at best in spring and summer, whereby I do not want to smell it with glistening heat really. Autumn Dior Sauvage can also bag it for itself, in winter I don't wear it, it seems a bit too metallic and cold to me.

As the Swiss army knife and the most beloved perfume, as it is called by the masses, I wouldn't classify it. It has certainly shaped the market but if this fragrance had not appeared under the name Dior, but under a less established brand, the big hype around this fragrance would probably be just a fraction of what it is now.
