I have never been a fan of Creed because i prefer complexity, harmony in notes and innovation over merely 'so called natural ingredients.

But this time i am compelled to praise this gem. Creed Aventus is an awesome release due to its versatility, originality and unpredictable blending of notes, wow, people focus on the fruity (creamy) top notes but the musky /mossy drydown is mesmerizing. An Year round fragrance which is not season/occasion confined. A piece of art i would say.

Many of the classic fragrances have unfortunately been discontinued or reformulated , i dont know if its a money making strategy by introducing new aquatic, bland watery , cheapo synthetic things or something else but LUI was undoubtedly an underrated fragrance , smells very natural and has some soothing elements.
Whenever I wear this legendary fragrance I feel like very special, receive tons of compliments and always think why they discontinued such a marvelous scent, anyway I have managed to keep some juice with me for rest of my life.

Stunning stuff.

It should have been called Black Rose Oud , dominating Rose with a little less but equally present Oud companion transforming it into a musky / creamy woody(oud) and sweet scent.
Personally I won't wear it too often due to a significant amount of Rose which makes it a bit feminine imho but its very personal if somebody likes to wear Rose dominant scents its a lovely choice which has very high quality Rose/ Oud scent with an adorable composition especially the dry down phase.

I really did not expect that , I tried Royal Oud with an expectation to dislike or merely like it as we usually do, saying 'oh its nice' ..and thats it, but its absolutely Royal not sure about Oud ( may be you get that) I really dont dont detect a shadow of oud, its majorly Cedar , Pink pepper and lovely vanilla.

Fabulous quality and shockingly elegant , rather 'elegance in a bottle', The dry down with very refined sandalwood blended with musk vanilla and spices besides creed signature notes make it awesome.

Sophisticated and high quality stuff for a classy gentleman

It took so long to write about a fragrance of this calibre , Guerlain is the trend setter in perfumery for others and so is Derby and Jicky for Guerlains itself imho.

Apart from the likings or dislikings (as it is a very subjective and vastly varies ) , Derby is a very very complex and rich fragrance which could not be evaluated in a few wearings, I have been wearing it since few months and I am still discovering something new in it on every wearing.

This starts( don't enjoy the start a lot) very herbal and pungent due to so many spices but majorly i get mace and patchouli which remains so dominant till the drydown kicks in , the drydown is the part which i love , its very Guerlain , smooth , subtle , smokey leather and musky sandalwood with mesmerizing aura of Guerlain's signature.

A Masterpiece but not for everyone.
