Dreams of Being a Good Girl, but Can Stand on Her Own
Let's get the obvious point out the way; Miss Dream is a clone of Carolina Herrera's "Good Girl (Eau de Parfum) | Carolina Herrera". The art on the box for Miss Dream blatantly resembles the shoe bottle design of Good Girl.

However, as my policy goes with clone fragrances, I will not compare Miss Dream to Good Girl. Instead, I will see if Miss Dream can hold its own as a worthy fragrance.

----

I can sum up the smell of Miss Dream in two words.

Intoxicating. Bewitching.

The perfume is a combination of top notes such as bergamot, black currant, and other fruits that combine with heart notes such as jasmine, rose, and magnolias.

The vanilla and tonka bean at the base blends it all together to create a silky fruity and floral fragrance with a decisively feminine touch that is daring and confident.

----

In terms of sillage and projection, Miss Dream is amazing. It reaches a level beyond what would expect from an Eau de Parfum. Miss Dream is a definite head-turner and almost reaches the superstar level when a person notices the fragrance when a person entering it steps inside a room.

However, if you are looking for something that will project well from the morning commute to bedtime, Miss Dream is not the best option for you—the fragrance only lasts about six hours before fading away.

----

The major drawback for Miss Dream is that despite having an amazing smell, it lacks versatility.

Because of the strong projection and sillage, this is not a good fit, whether as a casual daily scent or an office-friendly fragrance. In the summer heat or a warm climate, or during a long workout in the gym, Miss Dream can become outright overpowering.

However, despite the lack of versatility, Miss Dream absolutely shines bright as an evening or date night fragrance, especially as the temperatures cool down and the night becomes more lively.

----

Overall, Miss Dream is an outstanding fragrance that a lady can buy for less than $25.00. However, it is also a highly situational scent that is not for everyone.

If you are a person who does not like to attract attention or looking for a daily scent with versatility, you are better off skipping this dream, as it will leave you waking up with nothing but disappointment.

However, if you seek to become the star of the night (and have the confidence to pull it off), or just want to make a bold statement with no words during an evening out with friends, or on a date with a wonderful person, Miss Dream is an absolute treasure at this price point.

The Pen Maker is Behind a Great Office Scent.
One day, my best friend mentioned she loved a fragrance from Ulta and thought it would be an excellent addition to the collection of affordable fragrances.

When she told me the fragrance was Montblanc Legend, I heard positive things about the fragrance, and it convinced me to purchase it and give it a thorough analysis.

----

My first impression is that Legend has a similar vibe to Abercrombie and Fitch's Fierce. To make a comparison, Fierce is a charismatic college student that is great to be around for a fun time, without getting into too much trouble.

Legend is the same person, but has matured and uses that same charisma in the workplace to take care of business and become a leader.

----

Montblanc Legend starts with a citric aroma with bergamot and lemon, with a hint of freshness that comes from lavender. After a moment, the heart of the fragrance reveals itself with jasmine, cedar, and rose. The floral notes complement the opening that extends the freshness, but they also keep the fragrance light.

The base notes of sandalwood, tonka bean, and (possibly) oakmoss give Legend a strong finish that adds a warm and confident feel.

----

In terms of performance, Legend is excellent when one considered that this is an eau de toilette. (There is also an Eau de Parfum version of Legend).

As I say in other reviews with similar projection and sillage, Legend will not announce your presence like a superstar as you enter a room. However, the fragrance may get a person to turn their head as you walk by them, or they walk by you.

The longevity of this fragrance is anywhere from six to ten hours. It should last for an entire workday or a night out—but likely not both without a respray.

----

Legend is an uncomplicated fragrance with strength and simplicity that makes it easy to wear in any social situation, whether it is at the gym, out on a date, or as a daily fragrance.

It is also easy to wear in all seasons, but Legend works the best in the comfortable temperatures of spring and autumn, and to a lesser extent, summer. It is weaker in the winter but has enough strength to push through the cold air.

For a Walmart fragrance that costs less than $60.00 for a 200 ml bottle, Legend provides amazing versatility.

That said, Legend shines the most as a fragrance in the office, as the notes combine for a professional vibe that projects well, but is not offensive.

----

Overall, Montblanc Legend is an excellent and versatile masculine fragrance.

With that in mind, Legend is not a fragrance for someone looking for artistry or complexity. In addition, the fragrance may not mesh well with teens who may experiment with fragrances.

However, for someone looking for an affordable daily fragrance that works extremely well in the office and can be used throughout the year, Legend is an excellent choice.

Intense? Maybe. Different? Definitely!
The original Davidoff Cool Water (CW) is a classic fragrance from the 1980s, and one of the first fragrances that I received.

Naturally, I went and tried Cool Water Intense (CW: I).

----

The most important point is that, to be direct, CW and CW: I are VASTLY different as flankers. The only thing similar about them is the name, and that both fragrances are affordable for anyone on a budget.

However, I did the homework, and have this recommendation.

If you are looking for a smoky summer fragrance that is light, subtle, and fresh, that gives hints of maturity, I suggest going with the original Cool Water.

However, if you want a spring fragrance that is very sweet, and unapologetic about it, Cool Water Intense is worth your consideration.

----

For the actual fragrance itself, artisans will be disappointed as there are only three notes in Cool Water Intense. The opening of this fragrance is like an orange, but the (light) heart note of coconut and the (very strong) base note of amber quickly overtake the fragrance profile quickly. However, despite the lack of complexity and the signs of an artificial smell, it is a solid sweet fragrance, if you are into that.

While most consider it a masculine fragrance, I believe that Cool Water Intense is more of a unisex fragrance that women can wear reasonably well.

----

Performance-wise, Cool Water Intense is superb. It has above-average sillage and projection. It will not announce your presence as you enter the room like a superstar, but heads will turn as you walk past people.

For longevity, CW: I lasts about 10-12 hours and should get you through most of the day.

----

Davidoff Cool Water Intense is a solid fragrance in most social situations. It may not work for the office or gym as the strong sillage and sweetness may be too much for some people.

However, CW: I truly shines when used as a fragrance for leisure. The fragrance absolutely pairs well with a jeans and a t-shirt vibe, going to the beach and sipping on tropical drinks, going out to dinner with friends, or going to a nightclub to party.

----

Overall, Cool Water Intense holds its own as a fragrance that differs completely from the original Cool Water.

While this aspect will disappoint people looking for a stronger version of Cool Water (or anyone that dislikes sweet or artificial fragrances), Cool Water Intense is a solid change of pace for people looking for a vibrant mild-weather fragrance on a budget.

----
Edit on 08/30/2022, as I failed to detail the strong sweetness of Cool Water Intense.

A Mature Summer Fragrance and a Great Deal
I remember when I was in college, a friend bought me Cool Water as a birthday present.

Almost 20 years later, and after building a rotation of fragrances, Cool Water still sees regular usage on my end. There is a good reason for this.

----

Some people will say that Cool Water is aquatic, but it initially smells like a fresh fragrance with a hint of green and citrus. The notable aspects are the mint and neroli. Though they are delightful, they do not last long as they blend into the tobacco base note that emerge, creating a warm and smoky fragrance.

I will note that Cool Water has a slight synthetic smell to it, but it is more akin to what someone would smell in soap or deodorant that is subtle. It also blends well with most soapy fragrances.

----

Performance is what one can expect from a warm-weather fresh Eau de Toilette. The sillage and projection are reasonable. People will discover the fragrance as you walk by while wearing Cool Water, but it does not announce your presence like a superstar when you enter a room.

As far as longevity goes, expect it to last anywhere from four to six hours before having to reapply. I will also emphasize that Cool Water is a summer fragrance. During the winter months, it is outright useless when traveling outside.

----

This combination of performance and a fresh fragrance makes Cool Water a pleasant office or gym fragrance.

That said, Cool Water as a date night fragrance is effectively a roll of the dice.

On one hand, if the date is not familiar with the scent, it can add to an aura of a sophisticated gentleman on a summer night.

However, Cool Water was a popular fragrance in the late 80s and early 90s. It is possible to hear some interesting words; “You smell like my dad/brother/ex.” What happens afterward depends on factors beyond your control.

----

Overall, Cool Water is a good affordable summer fragrance for the mature gentleman. It is also a solid addition to anyone starting a collection, especially for anyone looking into generational classics.

However, someone seeking a more casual and relaxed summer fragrance, or just something original, should probably look elsewhere, as disappointment is inevitable.

An Affordable Fragrance that Completes the Turn?
I purchased 360° Red on a whim, because it is near the end of Winter in New York City, and as the seasons change, it was time to seek some summer fragrances.

----

360° Red is a light fragrance that smells like a combination of fresh and citrus notes like lavender, orange, and lime. Admittedly, the smell reminds me of summers from my teenage years in the late 1990s, because of a similar profile to the best-selling fragrance released at that time—Giorgio Armani’s "Acqua di Giò pour Homme (Eau de Toilette) | Giorgio Armani" .

Unfortunately, this also means that 360° Red struggles to stand out from the crowd, as besides the original Acqua di Gio that is currently still on the market, there are many fragrances with similar profiles. However, I will say that 360° Red is spicier and more masculine than Acqua di Gio with notes such as cinnamon, clover, and nutmeg notably peeking through, albeit they are subtle.

----

360° Red has the typical performance of fresh or citrus Eau de Toilettes made for warm weather and tropical climates.

On the bright side, this means that sillage and projection are average. People will notice the fragrance as you pass by them, but it will not announce your presence when you enter a room. This makes 360° Red versatile enough to wear in an office environment, at the gym, or on an evening out with a significant other or friends.

On the negative side, a typical warm-weather fresh or citrus EdT also means that longevity is a weak point. Expect 360° Red to last about 4-6 hours before needing to apply it again.

----

The biggest critique I have overall is the bottle. Normally, I do not care about bottle design unless it is notable or a design flaw.

Here, it is notable that 360° Red (and the entire 360° line) looks like a combination of a small water bottle and a woman’s vibrator. However, outside of the easy dirty jokes, the fragrance is an excellent buy at less than $30 USD for a 100 ml bottle.

----

Overall, Perry Ellis 360° Red for Men is a solid fragrance and knows the audience it is trying to seek.

If someone wants a unique masculine summer fragrance to stand out from the crowd, 360° Red is a waste of time, and one should look elsewhere.

However, if someone is seeking a masculine, fresh, and citrus fragrance at an affordable price for the warmer months or a warm climate, 360° Red will probably complete the circle.
