Germanblonde

This is my second favorite day time fragrance. The opening is harsh, but it settles into a wonderful creamy and dreamy fragrance in a matter of minutes. Like Sun, this is also one of my man's favorite fragrances. I think I just draw bigger compliments when I wear Lolita Lempicka, which I wear just as an evening fragrance. Unfortunately the lasting power of Pastels Soft Yellow is quite poor on me. But the price is low enough that I can keep on applying it to get the "I feel real good" vibe, and she smells SO DIVINE, that I don't mind carrying her around with me to reapply when needed. I bought several back up bottles of this and of Sun - I never want to be without Jil Sander Sun and Jil Sander Style Pastels Soft Yellow. They are both so up my alley.

My third favorite Jil Sander fragrance, and I love ALMOST all Jil Sander frags. They are so warm and creamy for most part, very feminine. Not in a loud, but very confident way. They always draw compliments by both genders. German born myself, I wonder if they are especially perfect for German DNA or something like that. Or maybe they are just so me. I don't know what it is, but I feel more like myself with Jil on my skin. It is romance in a bottle with a touch of flirt. Today at the dentist my oral hygienist asked me what the beautiful perfume was that I was wearing, and she wrote it down to get it for herself. I so understand, because this is a real beauty!

This is a love-hate relationship for me. It smells awful on my skin, just awful. Like a flowerbed next to a garbage can. But in my hair it is an absolute stunner. I sprayed it on my skin and in my hair today, and when the wind picked my hair up, I got such a gorgeous whiff, when I smelled my wrist I was repulsed. But I think this is still a keeper, even though it doesn't agree with my skin at all. I will try it next time just on my hair and clothes, and see what the results will be.

Update: I sprayed myself last night with this perfume on the wrist, because I wanted to give it a chance. Went to bed, and in the middle of the night I woke up from the most lovely smell - on my wrist! I cannot believe it. And it is still strong and lovely this morning. It seems at least on me it needs a long time to develop into this beauty, I am talking about HOURS. From now on, if I want to enjoy it, I have to spray it on my skin at least a couple of hours before I leave the house, so it has the time to unfold its beauty. It is the strangest thing.

2nd update: The more I try it, the more I like it. It still doesn't smell the best initially, but it comes around beautifully enough that I will keep it in my collection for sure. It will never turn into big love, but I do like it more and more, the more I give it a chance.

3rd update: You know fragrances that you have to give a few tries to fall in love with? Well, L'Instant is one of them. I would never have thought a few months ago that I enjoy it now as much as I do. It is not a fragrance for everybody, and it might take a while until you can open your heart to her (I needed quite a lot of time), but I wear it this morning and think to myself: My oh my - I am so happy that I didn't give up on this little gem.

This is my sweetheart's favorite perfume. When we are going out on an evening date, I reach for Lolita Lempicka, more to please my man than myself. Don't get me wrong, it is one of my favs as well (after Shalimar my favorite evening perfume). If I'd lure in a man (not that I do now, because I am in committed relationship), but if, this baby is the "tool". It seems to draw men like moths to the light. Super feminine and sexy!

Oh Shalimar, you are the queen of my nights and always will be. Femme fatale in a bottle, not the cheap femme fatale, the sophisticated one, the one that knows she is all woman and not a bit apologetic about her female powers. She is my favorite fragrance right after my signature fragrance Jil Sander Sun, and she is my favorite night time beauty. Enticing and alluring. There is a reason she is an icon that will never fade into the background. When I wear her I flip my hair enticingly, blink with my lashes a bit more than I normally do, and all that without blushing. She is glorious, and her spirit comes out with every well placed spray every time. It is a perfume that rather carries you than you wearing her, that's the magic of her powers - and that's just fine with me.
