I have most of the confidential range and was excited about this new release. Especially being a leather scent which is my favourite note. It opens very sweet with smooth leather and spicy ginger.
Unfortunately, the leather being strangely a top note vanishes within a couple of hours. All you are left with after 4 hours is a smokey skin scent that is very unremarkable.
The worst release in this range in my opinion.
This has been done numerous times and is definitely not unisex, totally masculine.
The price is way too high.
Shame.

I love Amouage as a house and they have created some of my favourite to wear fragrances.
This one I'm not too sure about. It reminds of quite a few similar fragrances especially Fan Your Flames.
It might be my nose but I don't get much tobacco, just a load of smokey incense.
It's pleasant to wear and I would say totally not unisex, this is a male scent.
Definitely a cold night scent, not to be worn in warmer months.
It's ok bit just a bit samey.

I have Erba Pura too in my collection but this is nicer and less cloying. I love this in the evening all year round. Especially on winter evenings when I want to be reminded of summer on a warm tropical island.
To me it's very juicy, smooth musky scent that lasts forever. I wore this in 30 degree heat one evening in Mallorca and it just projected beautifully.
I have to admit this is very sexy fragrance that is perfect to wear at a swingers club for example lol.
I would go easy on the trigger though because too many sprays makes it unbearable.

Geza Schön one of my favourite perfumers has created many masterful fragrances especially under Ormonde Jayne and Clive Christian houses. This is one of my favourites and go to fragrance for a night out with my partner.
I love the original too and just like Montabaco the intensivo versions are just that, Intense. This lasts all night and is amazing to smell during sex or dancing the night away.
It's very smooth and almost warming. But works beautifully on a night out in a hot country. Its one of those fragrances that makes you become quite big headed as you go around sniffing yourself saying "God I smell good". The compliments from others will shortly follow.
Apologies but I'm not very trained on sniffing out individual notes, I will leave that to the more educated here on Parfumo. But this is a masterpiece and is worth having at least a sample if the budget is tight.

This is such a lovely fragrance. Montabaco is one of my signature scents that I wear all year round. To me, the intense version is just more potent and potentially lasts longer although the original has great longevity. That's it really, I don't find anything else different.
This is a fragrance that is already perfect in its original form. It doesn't need any flankers or reformulations.
