Better than most, but it still needs to get better
I've been looking for a good Turkish Kolonya for a while now. The pungent synthetic-citrusy mainstream products do not please me for a long time.

This one definitely falls under the niche category. It smells like a rather bitter green tangerine peel. Right off the bat, I definitely liked it more than the Kolonyas I've tried so far. Bodrum Mandalinası is a bit rounder and not as pungent.

However, even here I detect a synthetic that seems a bit plasticky. Upon smelling it several times, it bothered me a bit.

About the Permorance one does not need to say much. Kolonyas are not supposed to smell long at all. After a few minutes, the scent is gone.

Better and more natural than the 0815-Kolonyas and although the idea with the unripe tangerines is very good, I think it still hapert a little on the component quality. Maybe it will be reformulated at some point.

Unfortunately too sweet, I guess I got too old
I can still remember liking Ultraviolet Man a lot about 15 years ago. My preference for sweet fragrances is still present, but I think I've probably gotten a little too old for this scent in my early 30s. It's not that I care about certain standards, my tastes have just changed slightly. I'm not into "baklava scents" anymore. It seems way too sweet for me. It's still not bad, though.

The scent progression is relatively varied. In the opening stood out next to the strong sweetness of the powderiness in conjunction with a slight freshness very pleasant. After about 1 hour it smells almost only of moss. Later after about 2 hours, the sweetness comes up again.

The sillage is very pleasant. The fragrance does not scream, but is also not too quiet.

Definitely a recommendation for the younger ones who want to stand out a little from the mainstream. Many know this fragrance namely not at all.

"Wow" at first, "hmmm" later
The opening of this fragrance I find very successful. Especially the mint, which unlike other perfumes very synthetic, almost like toothpaste, but still smells good, in conjunction with the warm notes, such as vanilla, I like very much. Fragrance-wise, this combination is a bit extravagant, as Versace Eros combines winter notes with very synthetic-fresh summer notes. It smells very pleasant in the opening, almost intriguing.

In the drydown, however, it gets a bit boring. It develops into a typical cold-weather scent, which smells pleasant, but I personally find a bit of a shame. Because this makes it in my opinion only suitable for early spring, when the weather is still cold. For the warm months, as it is often portrayed in advertising, this fragrance is definitely not suitable, even if it may seem so at the opening by the fresh notes.

For the winter it is only conditionally suitable, because the top notes are too dominant and too fresh at the beginning. Therefore, it is recommended to leave the house in winter after about 20 minutes, so that the top notes evaporate if possible. However, if you want to buy this perfume only because of the base notes, there would definitely be better alternatives for the winter.

This is exactly what I think is the main problem with this fragrance. The combination of notes that make it special, are poorly put into practice, because the top notes evaporate relatively quickly; ie you have nothing of this combination, because it is no longer present after a few minutes. Therefore, I would have liked fresh components in the heart notes of this fragrance.

Likewise, one could criticize that it is very mainstream due to the many carriers. However, this plays no role for me in the evaluation.

But the opening is really terrific

The Ambroxan all-rounder
A fragrance that reminds me of my childhood on the Aegean, without being aquatic. It's a dry 40°C and I'm happily swimming on the beach with my plastic bath mat. The synthetic smell of the bath mat, which becomes even more prominent due to the heat, mixes with the salty scent of the Aegean. This is exactly what I associate with the scent.

Sauvage is an all-rounder, a Swiss army knife of fragrances, suitable for any season, any weather, as well as for any occasion. And exactly that makes it in my opinion a special fragrance, especially for men who do not want to have a large fragrance collection at home and are rather minimalist.

Even though I have positive associations with the fragrance, there is also something to complain about this fragrance. The ambroxan dominates a little too much for my taste. The fragrance is basically ambroxan with a pinch of fresh and spicy components. You should therefore definitely not be averse to ambroxan if you want to wear this fragrance.

Likewise, it can give some a slightly plastic impression due to the combination of ambroxan, resin and Szechuan pepper. This is exactly why I associated it with my plastic bath mat by the salty sea. For many, however, this scent is still pleasant.

It's not a scent that fascinates me tremendously, but it's not a bad thing either. A certain extravagance is fragrance-technically already present, however, one should consider that one belongs with this fragrance by no means to the extravagant, because he now wears almost every second. Just a fragrance that has become very successful mainly through strong marketing strategies.

The shelf life is okay. After about 4 hours only recognizable from close range. It is not a fragrance that fills entire rooms, therefore also quite pleasant and also well suited for the office.

Personally, I do not put it to me, because I only buy perfumes that fascinate me immediately and trigger a "wow effect" with me. To these Dior Sauvage, at least with me, does not belong

Cherry cola with a little marzipan
Very extravagant fragrance, reminiscent of a mixture of Cherry Coke with a little marzipan. The components are of pretty good quality.

The durability and especially the sillage are excellent. A very heavy and loud fragrance.

However, it is a little too sweet and too penetrating for me to rate it as perfect. However, who stands on very sweet fragrances, should definitely try this one.
