First synthetic, then more pleasant
In the opening the fragrance smells enormously sweet, floral and very synthetic, dull fruity. The combination of floral components and tangerine (thought to be orange) almost seems berry. Of course, you can also smell some woody nuances and above all tonka bean and vanilla throughout.
In my case the opening is much too sweet and pushy.

But as the fruity and floral nuances that bother me disappear, the fragrance unfolds in a rather pleasant direction. Tonka bean, vanilla in combination with something woody can be smelled out.

In short: the opening is too synthetic for me, but afterwards the fragrance develops surprisingly well.

Not my cup of tea
Although I have no aversion to sweet perfumes, I did not like A*Men by Thierry Mugler at all.

Over the whole period from opening to closing, an enormously synthetic sweetness stands out, which in my opinion is too much of a good thing. This is an enormously dull sweetness. In my opinion, the scents as a whole appear enormously synthetic, almost plastic. Big changes are also not present with the time. It smells consistently dull, synthetic and sweet.

This is a perfume that gives me the impression that the individual fragrances have been mixed up wildly. They do not harmonize well with each other. Almost all the components seem synthetic and extremely dull, so dull that it almost makes me sick.

It's not my case at all. But that's like all matters of taste. If you like the scent, I can highly recommend this perfume, because the shelf life is very long and the sillage is very strong.

One of my favorite scents
A very round, soft, warm, slightly sweet and oriental fragrance with a slightly Christmas scent.

Vanilla, almond and some tonka bean dominate over the entire course.

Initially, when sniffing very carefully, herbs such as basil and tarragon, as well as tangerine are only very slightly perceptible. Very nice I find that these herbs are not very dominant and therefore harmonize perfectly with the oriental base notes. Therefore the fragrance keeps its round, warm character throughout.

The sweetness is present throughout, but fortunately has only a light character.

In my opinion, Givenchy Pi uses good quality essences, which is why the fragrance stands out from the mainstream.

The bottle looks really great. The colour of the liquid simply matches the fragrance perfectly.

Now to the negative sides.
It is very pleasant for me that it is not a pungent scent, but in my opinion the sillage is much too low. The scent is almost not noticeable by other people, as long as you don't spray yourself extremely with it or the person outside explicitly smells it. But I am not someone who wants to smell extremely strong. But that is simply too easy. That makes the scent in my eyes relatively expensive, because the 100 ml for over 90€ will not last very long.

Moreover, the fragrance does not last very long. After about 3-4 hours the scent is hardly noticeable.

All in all, it is a mad scent, but its performance is not good enough. Despite its weaknesses, it is one of my favourite scents. Perfect for winter, combined with beige-brown winter clothes. :)
