The Bottle is the Best Part
I have to admit that I liked the bottle when I made this blind buy. It's a very interesting shape and I find it very attractive. That is pretty much where the good news ends with this one.

When first sprayed, I get a blast of bergamot and mandarin that is sharp, almost stinging the nose. It settles down into a detergent like lavender after that and an almost plasticky smell of vanilla and sandalwood. It doesn't smell bad per se, but it's nothing I can recommend either. I sprayed it on at about 1 p.m. today, it's 3 hours later, and it's mostly gone, so longevity is poor.

While it would make an adequate summer fragrance for a low price, there are others out there that are much better in this price range.

Train wreck of notes!
Looking at the above notes, I should love this. I love every note that is in this fragrance, yet I instensely dislike it. All of those sweet notes just cannot be settled down by the vetiver and juniper in the base. It just adds up to cloyingly sweet, and induces a headache on me. No note is prevalent in this one...they just combine to make a sweet train wreck.

Sillage is weak on this once, and longevity is not much better. Which, in my opinion, is a good thing. I personally do not wish to project this scent anywhere.

There may be something redeeming for someone who likes sweeter men's fragrances, but I tend to avoid this one at all costs. I would recommend Everlast Original 1910 if you want this sort of fragrance. It actually smells nice.

A More Adult Curve Chill
This fragrance and Curve Chill have a remarkable amount in common. The lime in this one is more natural, and the aldehydes are less cloying, but they are definitely family. The oakmoss, and the lack of cardamom and tea in this one make it drier, and a little more wearable for office use and the like. It feels cleaner, more serious, and more mature than Chill.

This one stays close to the skin, another advantage in office wear. Longevity is another common factor that Curve Chill and this one share. Sadly, that's not a good thing, but not surprising with citrus as a topnote. However, this one is cheap, so it's easy to reapply, and hard to offend.

This was my summer fragrance for a number of years. It's clean, fresh, and I have never received a complaint. Overall, it's a good buy, even if you have to occasionally reapply.

Lime and Bergamot and Aldehydes, Oh MY!
I like lime in the topnotes of fragrances, be it natural smelling or synthetic like lime candy. In the case of Curve Chill, the lime is more synthetic than natural; it reminds me of lime flavored candy and drink mixes. I love it with the aldehydes, although I could see where many people could find this too synthetic or cloying. Maybe that explains some of the lower ratings here...I am not sure.

Like so many fragrances with a strong citrus topnote, the longevity on this is not so great. I get about an hour of the lime and aldehydes, another hour of peppery middles notes, and then about an hour of the basenotes. After that it is gone on my skin, even with lotion applied first.

This Curve flanker can be had online for very cheap. If you like lime, and don't mind synthetic, this is a good deal for a casual summer fragrance. I paid less than $14 USA for my 4.2 oz tester, so if you hate it, it's not a big loss as a blind buy. Me? I wore it a lot this past summer with shorts and t-shirt.

Youthful, Fresh, and a Compliment Magnet
I find it really difficult to lose with Curve for Men. This is a happy and fresh green, aromatic fragrance that can be had for on the cheap. It starts off with a fresh clean blast of pineapple on my skin, and dries down to a nice woody musk. I think most people in the USA have used, or at least smelled this one, so I'm not going to go into a great deal of detail. Let's just suffice it to say it smells darned good in its own cheap and cheerful way.

Longevity is good at 6 hours or so (excellent for cologne), and I think it is truly rare for anyone to be offended by this fragrance. It is one of the compliment magnets in my collection. It is also light enough for a daily wear at the office and is never cloying.

This can be had for very reasonable prices both online and in discount stores now. If you need a good budget fragrance, it's a great choice.
