Who stole the coconut?
The announcement was a citrusy fresh summer scent...soso. Well warned I was when looking at the composition. It actually starts almost balanced. A classic start with lime / lemon / bergamot with coconut water. But only a few minutes later the coconut takes over and forms with the flowery components, jasmine, sugar and rum a very fruity-sweet summer punch. For me simply too much. The quality of the perfume is high. No question. With me the smell held good six hours. I see tanned people with white linen clothes and white leather slippers in Miami. They look through big dark sunglasses and the sultry Florida breeze spreads the scent over the extensive beach promenade with the white umbrellas ... the Rolex shines on their wrists and the lady in the white bikini wears a light straw hat and eats a Raffaello....no she would never do that...she drinks a sugar free Pina Colada...I don't like leather slippers, sultry heat and sweet cocktails...so no wonder I have little love for Virgin Island Water. In any case, it should be noted that citrusy fresh can be very misleading here. Would describe it rather fruity-sweet

Summer holiday in light blue or Light Blue ?
Y Eau Fraîche comes in a stylish compact bottle. Stylish and beautiful. The fragrance offers no more or less than one dimension. I like it. Although the floral accent of the rose geranium is always there, and almost makes the fresh basic concept falter. But I find it cleverly solved here. The mint and lemon are fighting for supremacy and form this successful combination. Not a cleaning agent smell for me and also no mint tea or chewing gum. It smells clear and distinctive. Pepper gives an edge here without becoming dominant. Lavender and juniper give tart accents and let the aquatic note be heard. A really clean scent. Metal and ice form a good association. Am I wrong if it reminds me of D&G Light Blue? I think not. I haven't been able to test the durability in real summer conditions of over 25 degrees. But I think that there is a medium shelf life. In the end there are the soft tones of cedar and incense. Not a new invention. The color of the flacon, light blue, fits well with the fragrance. And if I remember Light Blue, it was a similar color there. Bingo!

Verveine - we drive towards the sun

L occitane has been one of my favourite companions in the shower as well as for skin and hand care for many years. In addition, the wonderfully packaged products in the most diverse combinations are always a great gift idea. But now to this fragrance.
The fragrance series Verveine is for me one of the best mood enhancers for the summer. The fragrance is simply constructed and extremely effective. No frills, no big changes, even without a significant durability. This is less a multi-faceted fragrance program but a real mood enhancer. Light, cheerful and exhilarating you feel after the Verveinenebel. Here it may be also gladly a splash more. The scent does not stick, does not become a challenge for the environment. The process is simple and clear. Lemon as pure as you can imagine with a slight softening to a soft, warm orange. Verbena adds a little spice to Provence. Rose and geranium are barely perceptible at the end, let alone lasting or obtrusive. After two to three hours the pleasure is hardly present but what the hell. The sun has been there, has done its job and can break out behind possible clouds again at any time after a few sprays. Have fun with it !

Masculine time traveller
So far, this scent, except for the TV desert spot with Johnny Depp, has completely passed me by. Now I've only dived into the perfume world for the last few months and am slowly testing myself. Sauvage, whether on YouTube or here, is a popular name. As so often lately, I ordered a sample from another perfume friend. Great thing ! I was sceptical, because I have found out that descriptions and own perception can differ quite a lot. It is announced, fresh and spicy. What can I say, it starts with a lot of power. And all nuances of scent are used at the same time. At first still in another order. Bergamot and pepper are clearly positioned before the warm, masculine tones. I like the pepper note extremely well. This gives the fresh bergamot a completely different character. But most of all I am impressed by this masculine, mature and for me very classic smell. It has awakened memories of the past in me. A secure, pleasant and familiar feeling. This concise and very individual combination spreads more strongly after some time. The fresh note remains discreetly in the background. All in all Sauvage shows an amazing endurance without being penetrating. Why people often talk about mainstream in connection with Sauvage is not clear to me. Sauvage is universally applicable and attracts attention. Nevertheless, it remains a gallant companion in an ironed shirt. Or even wild like Johnny in the desert sand. Very likely. So a success on all stages. And therefore a real sales generator. Then why aren't many people allowed to smell as good? Is man then boring and ordinary? I find that nonsense. Basically, success proves you right. But one thing is clear with perfume, not every successful perfume must or should please everyone. But noses are so wonderfully different in their perception. I like Sauvage surprisingly well, especially because of this wonderful association with the past, but I can't say yet whether I will wear this fragrance often..

Oltremare Bois 1920 dream journey into infinity
The bottle is a statement for this fragrance. Deep sea blue, for me a symbol of infinity and freedom, the view into the distance, the blue of the sea blurring with the blue of the sky. Is there an end? No, our spirit does not know infinity and neither does the sky. For that the wind carries me into this infinite distance. Do you know the dream of flying? The feeling of taking off like a feather, like a bird. Everything becomes small and insignificant. This lightness, I can escape from everything, I can achieve everything...
A great fresh note that is for me here composed of lemon, orange and bergamot. In addition this maritime spice by juniper, which is woody and fresh at the same time, as well as a fresh and tart rhubarb note.
But there are also floral notes that remain discreet and unobtrusive and do not weigh down the maritime freshness of the fragrance.
I get lost in this smell. I just feel carefree and free. As if I am standing on a cliff, the salt air blows around me, the sound of the sea carries me away...like a meditation, a dream journey...
