Greenfaerie

I will add this to the pile of overhyped fragrances I have bought. I haven't tried anything by Bortnikoff that is all that great. This is a fairly bland musky scent, a little floral, a little sweet lemony citrus in the top notes. But the whole creation is very dull. Projection is quite soft, but it lasts a few hours on the skin. I prefer this over anything by Areej le Dore or that other atrocious attar house that makes attars that mostly smell like celery, the one with the red wax on top.

THIS is a tuberose for connoisseurs. Radiant tuberose with a subtle dose of cream -- genius! Oakmoss in the drydown adds some elegance. It's really a simple perfume, but it is done masterfully. I had to order a full bottle immediately because I would absolutely loathe myself if it were suddenly discontinued. This is the greatest tuberose fragrance I have ever encountered. Fracas is a joke in comparison.

I have a friend who says this smells like cherry cough syrup on her, and I have no idea how that is possible. I think it smells like the most divinely realistic cherry perfume that there could ever be. Pure cherry and perhaps a bit of musk in the base. The cherry is the perfect blend of sweet and tart. It's a delicious fragrance. If not for the price tag, I likely would own it by now.

I quite like this airy berry concoction. Not enough to want a FB, but it's very enjoyable. It does somehow remind me of outer space, still air, something like that. The berry scent is fairly realistic and isn't syrupy or sweet but plays nicely with the grapefruit. I don't really notice any particular flowers in the mix. Proxima is an easy reach if you are looking for something light and pleasant for daily use, especially if you want to smell unique because it doesn't smell like anything else on the market.

Each time I try this, it opens with the strong scent of apple cider vinegar. I can't get past it. I find it sharp and unpleasant, like apples that have fallen out of a tree and are rotting. There are some ok florals as it remains on my skin, but jasmine, ylang ylang or gardenia, I can not discern at all. I definitely smell soil or strong petrichor, which I like. But for me, Mother Earth doesn't smell like vinegar. I had high hopes and love earthy fragrances, but this is a hard pass.
