grass-green spicy conglomerate
THIS is a great vintage fragrance that immediately spreads in my nose, because of the superficially green scent notes.
Initially quite grassy and herbaceous (probably due to the tarragon), it is not loud, however, but has a glow that not many perfumers can achieve.

One imagines oneself in a summer meadow, where herbs and grasses mostly bloom, whose spiciness can be found in both the top and base notes, in an irresistible way that does not come along very often.

It still has green tones rather than floral ones as it progresses. I find a gentle spice of woods that comes in at the end and that rounds everything off. The fragrance is really a firework of green-woody notes, I can't smell any flowers here although many are listed. Our dear Minigolf is very right when she writes that there is nothing like it.

I liked the scent immediately, it's right up my alley and I notice that I'm concentrating more on green-spicy perfumes again.

Thank you, dear Ola, for keeping "such a darling" in your never-ending vintage fragrance collection, ONLY FOR ME :-)

Almali Dudeli - what??
Hiss, the first thing I smell is Almdudler. Not the one you can buy now, which is pure synthetic, no, the "old" one in the glass bottle, which smelled of herbal alpine meadows and tasted sweet and fresh and herbal. That's what Valldemosa smells like to me.

At least at the beginning, later the fragrance unfortunately becomes rather banal and dull. I am very disappointed, this is now the third fragrance that has left me baffled.

I thought the fragrances would be a revelation. I must have expected too much. Or maybe I just ordered the wrong perfumes.
But I thought I liked all the beautiful scents and that the compositions would certainly go together perfectly, but perhaps I'm not yet ready for this kind of olfactory treasure.

We'll see if I continue, but I think I'll leave it for now and turn to the bottles I already have. (there are too many anyway!)

"Wonn de koan Oimdudla hom, geh i wieda ham!"

Time in New England
Boston - the largest city in New England. - So that's what it's supposed to smell like there?

Well, it almost had me now, because the start is nice, has a really green freshness thanks to petitgrain, but then comes this nasty note again, which I would like to attribute to a spice, but I can't name it. I've smelled it several times and it's always choked me up, what could it be? It was also in the Remix Cologne Edition 2018, the orange one, and although the fragrance notes don't foreshadow anything bad, it's still there.

The end of the story, I had to wash it off quickly, I couldn't stand it for five minutes. It really is a shame.

However, my confidant told me that it smells quite good, so I'll go on to him.

Spring is coming to the country
As the Lehmann fragrances have been highly praised here and the store and online store are open again, I was delighted to order some bottlings for testing. No sooner said than done and here they are. :-)
I will therefore test them one by one and also describe them, I am already very excited.

So first up is HYAZINTHE, a spring bloomer that is predominantly blue.
I love this flower very much and have several fragrances that contain it.
However, I was deceived, there is no hyacinth listed here, but it still smells like it, it is slightly sweet and slightly "fresh", if there is such a thing.

Neroli was very present at the beginning, almost pungent, but then the other fragrance notes gradually came in, the beautiful orange blossom and also discreetly the iris, musk is also there, it almost has something slightly chypre-like in the course - but only very briefly, because there is always such a bitter almond note, but it ends elegantly and doesn't bother me at all

Yes, it's a good fragrance, I like it more and more after testing it several times.

May you follow me into the realm of the magnolia
There are many magnolia trees in our area that set wonderful accents with their large white-purple flowers when spring is still a little hesitant and not much is in bloom. This is because they are usually the first to put out their beautiful flowers when other "flowering trees" are still asleep.

I wasn't aware that they exude such a captivating scent as in the perfume "RUMEUR"; in fact, I don't think they smell at all. But it could also be that the car exhaust fumes have already destroyed the scents before they can reach the human nose, because most of the trees are by the roadside, at least here in the region.

But RUMEUR has more to offer, not just magnolia, but also beguiling jasmine, fragrant roses and the lovely lily of the valley, all of which combine to create an almost archaic fragrance that really seems (to me) to come from earlier times.

However, the fragrance is by no means just floral, that is just the first impression, it develops into a slightly tart, slightly mysterious and slightly powdery final note thanks to the musk. It clearly leaves a trail that you want to follow. (That's how my niece put it) and I agree with her.

It has a wonderful sillage and really lasts a long time, even on me, and that's saying something.
